Hello everyone,
haven’t played in a few years, but back in the day quite a bit. And I would like to get back into it.
Looking for an opponent OOB Global 40. We can bid on the side.

The sticky posts in
https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/category/29/league
are all you need to know about the league.
(Though the balanced mod topics are optional. You can play either balanced mod or vanilla G40. You just need to agree with your enemy on a common version)
And if you never played online (via the forum) with triplea, this post might be good: https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/17147/gargantua-s-k-i-s-s-triplea-instructions

Hey there!
I just saw your video on the Grasshopper.
Awesome stuff you have here. I like the approach of just changing the map, which makes it probably very easy to get going.
I think though, you should use the opportunity to give cities, canals, (important) territories and maybe the planet itself your own names. It will certainly add to the feel of the game and will feel more lively than moving from “R16” into “City” and such.
I’d also have nothing against giving the nations a different name. Could still resemble the model-countries, but even a small change would be awesome for immersion I think.
Kind regards,
Koala
computers are sometimes a bit pesky :D
I guess I’m okay with everything that happened. So no worries.
I would also be fine if you still want to move the chinese fig. Feel free to edit.
I’ll wait with the italian turn.
Interesting AAR!
Germany is buying a lot more Infantry than I ever did. Also I’m curious how japan can now really start grabbing territory from the allies.
Did Japan consider attacking the 12 russians in amur? With waiting that long before declaring war on the allies, this might have been a good use for all the aircraft these turns.
By the way, I always wondered, what the advantage is of putting american fleet in SZ 102.
Looking forward to your updates!
Oh boy, it’s absolutely beautiful!
Did you bought that table specifically for the game? It fits just too good :)
I don’t like that, but I since there were no battle in the pacific, I wouldn’t know why I shouldn’t allow it.
Go ahead.
…will be here soon!

So I guess… congratulations to everyone involved in running this site! :-)
Hello all,
I’ve made a small reference document for AA1940 pacific 2nd edition that i’d like to share.
The goal was in the first place to act like a reminder (and explanation) for things like shore bomb., convoy raiding, strategical bombing, … Things that often get forgotten in my experience.
Second to minimize the constant need for passing the rulebook between the players for things like national objectives and unit characteristics.
Tell me what you think :)

PS: aren’t there attachements in this forum?
Edit: Link now always to most recent version
Glad to hear that :D
That american bomber taught me also something new. I never thought of air only vs AAA guns before. But it makes a lot of sense.
Sadly no, because I only own pacific at the moment.
When I change this fact in the future, there will be most certainly one for europe and one for the global map, too.
Till then here is an updated version squeezed to four pages.

It is intended to fold the whole thing on the columns, so it fits in the Game boxes. If everything works the turn sequence should be on top of that pile, and every player should have its own copy.

I try to roll the 91 battle in the forum. Because I’m a bit unsure about your sacrifices in case I hit something.
Shall we do a takeback of the northern stuff and figure out how we can resolve that?
I kind of feel bad. Wondered during playing why this is the case, but then I figured, that it has also it’s advantages, so I kept going.
I have to think a little, but I guess not being able to take korea back also changes moves on the other side of the board.
I was already happily not worrying about american land presence in the north.
What do you think about me starting the japanese turn fresh (with all russians in korea), but if I do one of the battles exactly like I did this turn, I can edit the results from this turn?
Alright, then I’ll do that. If I run into issues, I’ll let you know.
Yeah, that’s the problem with these long running games. People invest so much time into a single game, that it’s always bitter if you lose because of such a faux pas or even dice. That why want to try lowluck sometime in the future :D
I guess that’s right, maybe even worse, because in addition to all the thinking already, people are calculating a lot more I guess.
But I’m still interested how it feels. I had already a few especially face to face games where the dice clouded the experience quite a bit. For the loser of course, but also for the winner.
And I also like chess on a site note :D
Arggh, am correct to assume, that mongolia troops get russian if I move into Amur, since you went to Korea in non-combat and not in combat.
Alright, thanks for letting me now.
No problem at all and no worries about postingspeed :)
On chess: yes we should!
Are you playing online sometimes?
@trulpen
I think it’s fine. Wouldn’t have changed my french turn I guess.
Even though I liked your previous position better :D
By the way. I’m currently working on a little statistics feature for TripleA as you can see on screenshots here: https://github.com/triplea-game/triplea/pull/6053
In case we do another game, we should plya in a recent beta with the feature. I’d love to see some graphs about our games!
