      @Gargantua:

      Is that a credible threat to Berlin? or perhaps enough to draw off a considerable German stack of land and airpower?  It certainly gives Russia mobility over the entire quadrant.

      In my opinion? Not at all. It’ll stop some transport landings on Leningrad, but I don’t see it actually doing anything useful for Russia. You could get a ton of infantry for the cost of a navy and it’ll do you a lot more good.

      Does a minor upgrading to a major count toward production capacity?

      Like, if I upgrade a minor complex to a major complex, can I still build 3 infantry or does the upgrade itself count as a production and I can only build 2 units?

      Can aa guns combat move into a territory even though they won’t participate in combat?

      Can a transport unload in both combat and noncombat phases of the same turn? Like say I’m transporting 1 infantry into normandy in combat move. I take normandy. Can I then dropan aa gun into the same territory if I took normandy that turn assuming the inf and aa gun were looaded on the same transport at the same time?

      I find G3 to be the best timing.

      If you hit too early, naturally, you’re not set up enough.
      If you hit too late collecting the 5 IPC bonus, the Soviet infantry stacks only get larger and larger, and the US gets more time to set up before you make any progress.

      G3 gives you time to finish off France and start sending leftover armor and mech infantry back the other way, reinforce your east stacks, and put a major ic in Romania should you so desire.

      Upgrading a minor to major on foreign soil still counts as building a major, so with the new rules Korea is the only location Japan can build a major anywhere in the world.

      Or Japan, assuming it falls and is retaken.

      You can take the carriers as hits.

      The only time you have to worry about the rule against suicide fighters is in the combat movement phase.  You have to demonstrate that if all fighters survive combat they have a safe landing place.

      So as long as I go into combat saying “If everything survives, these fighters can land”, I can knock out all of my carriers and have them suicide due to lack of an actual landing zone.

      Now what I would personally do, is after having a talk about how dumb his reasoning is and just telling him to continue it later…

      Eventually you’ll play another game, and eventually you’ll probably lose. It’s inevitable. When he’s about 1 turn from taking one of your capitals or the final VC, depending on your side, say you want a draw and you still think you can win. Then use his same reasons.

      So, how many of the players on these A&A forums frequent the game of paintball?

      Personally, I go to a lot of scenario game matches. In about 4 hours I’ll be an American defending Bastogne, and it’s a rather fitting day since there’s still snow on the ground from yesterday and it’s gonna be freezing out. There will be 5 tanks made from modified 6-wheelers, an artillery gun made out of PVC Piping, the works.

      It’s only happened to me once or twice.  It’s a feat of speed to make a post and come back to the thread and roll a battle all in the space of 15 secs.

      Eh, I can see how you can come close if you’re doing round 2 or 3 of a large battle, because then all you need to do is @ a couple times. If you’re a faster typer you can breeze through it.

      But still, not generally a problem for me.

      You could, but it’s not recommended. That would mean one player playing all of the axis powers, against everyone else. The axis player would be doing half of the moves on the board.

      Not sure on this one.  I re-read the rules on page 20 and there’s a statement in there that I don’t understand right now.

      Hopefully I get Krieghund to answer then, because Britain will own it next turn and the US will reinforce it in this game I have going on with my dad. It may come up soon.

      Turn A, a Dutch island is owned by Britain
      Turn B, it’s taken by Japan
      Turn C, it’s taken by the US

      Does the Dutch island revert to British control or does America take it?

      Italy takes Gibraltar and later in the same turn, America takes Gibraltar back.
      Would a damaged British ship still be repaired there since it’s allied controlled at during the repair phase or does it have to be a full turn around?

      If a destroyer is taken as a casaulty in a naval battle, do opposing subs then get their surprise attacks or is it still negated for the remainder of the battle?
