Yeah that’s understandable. I’m the same too with the bulk of pieces already painted it really takes a new HBG expansion set to get my brushes out again. Or right now my buddy and I are trying out Guadalcanal for the first time. And I noticed the US start out with a generous amount of b17 fortresses so I wanted to repaint some for the game. Well whenever you get inspired again I will look forward to more showcases from you.

I hope I can get to it… maybe after a few things clear out of my schedule in the coming weeks. I always feel the need to paint when I see the cool stuff you guys are working on.

Just looked over your thread again spitfire. Saw you 190’s very cool effect they do look like they may have been supporting some of rommels Afrika core in The desert! Ever thought of showcasing some of your other units spitfire? Maybe more of your air? I would love to see more of your renditons of airpower for the nations! Lhoffman has some great air he painted with just about every air unit type painted for the Germans in dark green schemes.

Hmm interesting cynight…. I recieved 4 hurricane fighters with my set… Is that standard with the order?  Thanks for the boiling water method I will try that this weekend and hopefully be Painting some units this weekend :)

hey guys, so I was searching some camo desert schemes for HBG’s Valentine medium tank and came across this one. � However looking at the sculps I knew it would be tough to paint these blue lines in because most of the tank is all track! so I cut out and shaped some track guard armour like the photo below just using some clear flexible plastic and glued in too the sides…making these two tanks mk II’s which look to have had the side armour as a pose to the Mk V that HBG has sculpted.

The problem is the US won’t be able to do anything with those transports off Gibraltar because the axis will be able to counter attack the allied ground forces almost anywhere they land. Not only that if you move to land in say Southern France, now your transports are woefully out of position. Also Russia just gets absolutely creamed in this version by Germany and Italy’s can opening ability. You need to have US send a steady stream of 18 ground a turn into Europe. That is 9 transports off Gib landing in Spain, and 9 transports off Eastern US getting ready to pick up the land units for the next turn. Good players won’t let you land in a beneficial spot for the allies without significant loss of tempo from moving your transports and fleet way out of position.

Yes…the trannies could be sunk, probably not ANYTIME though. A destroyer and loaded airbase could be a deterrent for attacks on them.
If Germany want to build an IC in that region I feel Finland would be a better choice…or they could wait until the US builds one in Norway and take it from them.

In IPC terms…

Loaded AB (West Germany, 3 FGT) + DD + 2 X TT = 52 IPC. Considering that you already have the three FGT and one TT at the start of the game then DD + TT = 20 IPC. But your FGT and available TT are tied to the Baltic. No trip to the Med, Middle East, Africa or central Russia for them.

Minor IC = 12 IPC and that’s all. Better put it in Finland for better defense against amphibious assaults and closer proximity to Leningrad.

So now that its after your turn, its defiantly friendly to the point where you can land planes there.
