I agree with that and have done that in my games as axis. I will let Germany clean up southern france T2. I also like to give Germany Yugoslavia and Greece. I know it is bad for Italy but lets face it ships are expensive and Germany can drop them down faster in the med then Italy. Protect the med… stall the US, and cut off the British and you can have a shot at taking Egypt rnd 4, maybe even 3? Then I will let Italy take pro axis Iraq.

These P40’s look awesome Spitfire! well done on the shark mouths…they aren’t easy to do and those teeth turned out very nicely! I wonder if we can get decals in the future for the shark mouths??

These capitals are very cool! Makes me really want too consider investing in a large scale map……so many more options you can add to the experience of AA!

oh yes I see your winter camo now JB. very sharp those planes are ready to fly deep into Russian and operation Barbarossa! I like the winter camo they are fun too paint aren’t they? I have only done some infantry a few tanks and support vehicles. Need alittle airforce for the winter definetly! Never worry about apologizing I think JB. Id say most of the people on this customization forum…we’re all in the same boat. We all get busy, or “bogged down” with life. And come on here and paint when we can! Its cool to take a leave of absence for a while and come on and see new and old artists re-emerged with new painted pieces for our viewing! Keep up the good work when you are back at it JB.

RE: DM making a comebackposted in Customizations
yeah I agree DM, the one thing about quantity is that it can burn you out, or really start to tighten up your lower back lol! I see you hand painted your roundels like I have. Isnt it hard doing the brits? espeacially with the yellow ring, and finally the tiny red dot! I wish I could find of british markings to scale with the yellow ring cause they are a bugger to try and paint and look good. you mix your own colors? the camo’s look very accurate!

wow DM I really liked how you drummeled out all that ugly blocky plastic on the stringbag’s. Looks soo much better now that is some customization work! I agree with you as well the HBG Stirling bomber was massive! you try using that piece on a spring 1942 board and there is no way it is too massive next too the Lancaster or Halifax. But a great piece for some research pieces in global for a heavy bomber. I ended up painting panel lines on mine just cause the piece was so big I wanted to add somemore detail. I wish that the king George battleships were a little bigger as well! Enjoying your pieces and historical accuracy on your aircraft! keep posting pics!

awesome modifications! I know shapeways has a fatman bomb mould you can buy, but these look just as good and love that they were customized from model pieces right out of a kit!

Yeah I recieved the backers update email…… I think Doug knows you and I have been venting cyanight, as his letter did mention " several" displeased consumers lol. Oh well I wasn’t aware Amerika was tying up all the other supplement sets too which is a double burn! Patience really just seems impossible these days lol

RE: Future Painting Tutorial: Requests on Content and Format?posted in Customizations
Hey spitfire… I liked the layout of yor original painting tutorial… With stages photos befores and afters with descriptions under each photo and stage. I would like too see some face washes you use on infantry men. And some washes you use for a variety of infantry moulds. Even a gallery too showcase some of your personal playing pieces would be cool!

Yea I’m not sure if it’s inexperience or just being a small busniess and not having the pull so too speak. I backed the game cause I really wanted the pieces and was afraid it wouldn’t get produced. I gave up timeline hope on Amerika back in summer.
It’s the expansion and supplement sets that kill me on production time. Pre orders are set waaaay to early in terms of the actually delivery date. -

awesome work spitfire! love the camo colors! did they come out of your head or was that a actual scheme used in war you referenced? The black lines really add that contrast making the pieces stand out nicely.

RE: Cyanight's Customizationsposted in Customizations
I think those white blotches are just the lighting glare coming off the high gloss coat cynaight uses to protect his pieces. I really like the grey scheme you used on your fw 190’s! they look fantastic… I went with greys on my focke-wulf’s as well. I think you and I might be the only two guys here that used the OOB fw190s from the 41 set. All other painted 190’s I ve seen on here have been the HBG versions.
I hope the news Amerika is shipped from china is good news lol! I’m a backer too and I didn’t receive this email notification.
