    • RE: Change Defense Profile - Subs?

      If you access Settings, then go to the Account tab, you can create and edit new defense profiles and set a default for your account (this will automatically apply to newly created games of all types). To change the defense profile in a game, access the game settings (either from the in-game menu or by clicking the gear icon on the game card) and go to the Defense Profile tab. Changing this will affect the next combat.

    • RE: Opinion: 24 hours isn't long enough for ranked play

      Originally it was 12 hours (since we had received so much feedback about wanting a “live” game experience) but, we found 12 hours to be far too aggressive and 24 felt a lot better. We want Ranked/Ladder games to feel important and having a more aggressive time frame on there felt like a good way to go about that. I wouldn’t ever say never, but there aren’t currently any plans to adjust the timer from beyond 24 hours.

      @djensen @rem400 Left-click transport. Right-click the infantry. Right-click the SZ34. Right-click the infantry in Persia. Right-click Egypt.

      If you have a stack of transports and a stack on infantry, keep right-clicking infantry, they’ll load. You can also open the dossier and pick each transport individually to be able to see what is loaded where.

      Phase 3: Conduct Combat
      In this phase, you conduct combat against opposing units
      using the following sequence:
      Combat Sequence

      1. Strategic bombing raids
      2. Amphibious assaults
      3. General combat

      Under General combat, you actually can pick the order (right-click the territory).

      We never make any decision on a whim. There is the right-holder, there is the lead team, there are developers on the projects, there is a community, and people from all over the world are playing the game. As mentioned in the newsletter after Patch 5, we’ll be sending out a new survey about Axis & Allies 1942 Online.

      I hear that, but that’s a digital adaptation of the game, and playing a digital version means certain things should go differently if compared to the RL experience, especially when we consider the wide variety of players who play A&A 1942 Online.

      @djensen We agree, it sucks when you get hit like that, but thats what chance does. We’re trying to emulate the same idea of random chance in the board game that also relies on random chance as well as strategy. Axis & Allies is not a game about pure strategy. Chance plays enough of a roll that its more about hedging your bets and strategizing to give yourself the best chance. But its still just that: chance.

      It always evens itself in the end. We noticed a concern being raised, we came out and addressed the concern with the dice RNG with the exact methodology we’re using for the dice.
