    • RE: Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion thread

Since No one else will say it……

So we are looking at 2020 before all countries are complete?

      Sorry, had to be said.

      @FieldMarshalGames:

      @knp7765:

      @Mr_Red_X:

is there a plan for additional chinese pieces? like chinese artillery and the like? that would be great, just something in that pale green to use.

I believe FMG has plans for making Chinese units, but they will be a little while yet.  Also, they are planning a “commons” set which will include Industrial Complexes (major and minor), Air Bases, Naval Bases, AA Guns, Bunkers, etc.  Not so sure about hospitals.  Here is the latest order of national pieces to be put out by FMG (Jeremy correct me if I’m wrong):
      Italy
      Germany
      United States
      United Kingdom
      ANZAC
      Soviet Union
      France
      Japan
      Commons Set
      China & Neutrals (possibly)
ALso, HBG is also planning on making some Chinese Units but I’m not sure when.  At present, the listing for HBG’s sets are:
      Axis Minors
      US Marines
US Supplemlement set (alternate planes, alternate battleship class, escort carriers, light tanks, tank destroyers, etc. – basically stuff that isn’t in the OOB or FMG US sets)
      Dutch, Polish and Neutrals
After this I’m not sure what coachofmany plans to make.  I know there are plans for a further German supplement set and he has taken polls for Nationalist Chinese and Communist Chinese sets, but I don’t think anything is set in stone yet.

HBG and FMG have made a gentlemens agreement to divide up some of the sets.  So we do not overlap and have to compete with each other.  We will carry eachothers product on the various sites also.

      FMG will be doing:
      Italy
Germany (Two sets, Grey / Black)
      United States
      United Kingdom
      ANZAC
      CANADA
      Japan
      Soviet Union
      France

      Commons Set (Bases etc)

HBG has told me they are interested in doing the Neutrals and China, so I am happy to tell you these will be available in the future.  HBG is also licensed to sell COMBAT UNITS individually, as they currently do with OOB sets.

Sounds to me he was full of it from the beginging.

How many devices does one have in the house hold that takes pictures?  At least (2), and if you are married you have at least (3).  Every phone takes pictures nowadays.  I can’t imagine that you are unable to upload pictures.

      Give me a break.

    • RE: Oil production

On our Custom Map we have Oil Graphics and Iron Graphics located in designated Territories (Ex: Romania, Iraq and Georgia for Oil and Norway, Sweden and Finland for Iron).  Our rules implement a Plunder Roll if a Country takes over a Territory with said Graphic.  Conquer rolls 1D6 (we play on a D12 system) for additional IPCs to be used during next Purchase.

We also implement those Graphics into NA’s for Germany and Japan.  For Example:  If Germany controls 3 Oil Reserves or 5 Iron Reserves Gain 6 IPCs

whats the story on the rest of the countries?  During this down time of waiting on the Italians and German units, do we have any pictures of what’s coming up next?

    • RE: Another German Set of vehicles

Yes, Mechanized (Halftrack) defends better as well as we have a house rule stating it can transprot (1) INF or (1) Art. Cost 7 move 2 att 4 defend 4.  We also have an SS Mechanized (can only have 2 on the board), Cost 8 move 2 att 6 defend 6 (on a D12 System)  The SS are painted Black with a Swastika Flag (sticker) on the back

Jeeps cost the same as INF. They cost 5 move 2 att 3 defend 3.  INF cost the same att 2 defend 4. We have a Armour Car tech. as well. 6-2-4-4

    • RE: Battlecruisers?

We have been playing with a d12 system for years as well as battlecrusiers/light crusiers.  We use the crusiers from Xeno as our Light Cruisers/Battlecrusiers.

We also give Japan a Light Aircraft Carrier using Milton Bradleys AC.  It can only hold (1) Aircraft but is cheaper than the normal AC.

    • RE: Would you buy historical control marker piece?

Yes, sorry for the confusion.  Like the Task Force Markers, however instead of Sea Units, these are used for Land Units.

My buddy made these out of Japanese Inf., if you couldn’t tell.

Not at all.  As in Pacific 2001 you place all the Units on your card.  You place the (1) Blue Square Chip that is representing all those units on the board.  The Flag Unit is used in the same way. This unit represents all the units you choose to have in that territory.  It cleans up the board.  For Example: Instead of having (5) Tanks, (5) Inf, (5) Art. on the board, in a small territory, all  you place is your flag unit.  Off the board, on a Card that has the same Flag Design or Graphic, you place your units.

Forgot to add that this makes Europe less croweded.  Also, when you organize all your Blitzing Units in one battle group, then you can run all over Europe kicking ass and taking names.

We use these like Pacific at War 2001 uses the Battlegroup Cards.  We place the Flags Guys on the board and have a Matching Card to the side with our Battle Group.

This guy is smoking something if he thinks someone would spend that kinda money on a HUGE Xeno Map.  He didn’t even add any territories.

We paint all Neutral White.  Poland is in an Alliance, however since they are destroyed the first round we just decided to keep them white.

    • RE: Free French Rules 1.0

We use Xeno’s World at War rule.  Once Paris falls the Axis and Allies roll for French Territories to see if they are Free French or Vichy.  Also a Xeno’s rule, is that INF may be built anywhere there is a Value.  If a Territory has a Value of 3, then 3 INF may be built there.  After the Roll for Free French or Vichy, France sometimes has enough income to build 3 or more INF each turn.  As long as they have Territory open with Values.
