I’m currently playing G40 EXP house Rules by the Captain

I’m Planning on going to the fall tournament in Denmark.

I’m new to this but won the first game. Second game had a false start. Now on my third.

I need way more games going on for sure !

@The-Captain thanks for that - only 6 players. Wow. I’ll plan to be one of them next year.

QUESTION: Where do I find games and reviews of games in order to learn this game?

To seems similar to Chess in being able to compare games move-by-move.

The game I prefer is called "Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion and has the acronym UHD or something like that in the TripleA title. These use the House Rules of @The-Captain

Please LET ME KNOW IF I SHOULD BE PLAYING ANY OTHER MODS or the Original In the Box Game (I still cannot associate ORDER OF BATTLE (OOB) with the acronym you folks use but you guys use the OOB acronym to mean something like: Original O-something Box game…)

I am new to this game but have read the rules a zillion times and have one game with @Trout going on about to finish Turn 6

I am HUNGRY TO PLAY MORE but have no idea what games I should play - the classic games are all somewhat boring as they play like checkers - these new house rules play more like Chess so there is no comparison but perhaps I am not aware of other mods that are also worth playing?

@The-Captain Hello, I’m new to all this but want to get more involved with competitive play.

I’m based in the San Francisco Bay Area and willing and able to(usually) to travel overseas so I am looking for recommendations for how I can get into WAY MORE games.

@ballroomblitzkrieg Sent you a text just now… Looking forward to playing some REAL LIFE games hahaha. I love the online versions too, of course, but real dice and physical pieces and maps are awesome

@ballroomblitzkrieg I would LOVE to play - but line in San Jose - still tho if you want to set something up and occasionally drive here to Silly Valley I would gladly drive to the capital Sacramento !

I’d like to start a group of axis and allies players in the San Francisco Bay Area where I live. Do you know of anyone that can help me get that started ?

Are people using this forum to meet in person and play these games on some physical board game map?
