Question about the Kamikaze rules:
In TripleA we get a little red kamikaze plane each turn and I get that but it seems to have no real effect unless we can use it to target a specific ship.
What am I missing? How should we use this thing?

Hey by the way I think this will be the last G40 game I play online.
I need to focus on the two primarily games I’m playing (the G40 expansion by the Captain and BBR) and also work in as many real life Axis Allies BBR and EXP games as I can.
Those two games offer much more variability game to game. And They are far less vulnerable to “scripting.”
In contrast this G40 game seems like once one figures out the various typical plays (sea lion, Taranto raid, pacific strats, etc) it’s just rinse and repeat.
This is just my opinion and I’m not trying to be down on it. I just feel like once I figure out all the various starts that’s all there is. And the complexity level of BBR and G40 EXP with UHD boxes is orders of magnitude greater. So I’ll want to focus on that.
But let’s play this out for sure. Tho I can see it’s really already decided. :)

@mike64 OMG this sounds very complicated.
That @beelee (on the triplea forum) guy (called some other “B” word on this forum and is named Bill I think, is one of the Master Minds behind all this development and he has kindly been helping me so very much… Anyway he often talks about doing special dice roles to resolve certain battles (like you just mentioned) but I do not know how to do that.
Fortunately, at least for this turn, I avoided all that. Whew…
@mike64 I would also like to know how things like factories and bases are captured or destroyed.
I don’t ask these questions without first looking through the rules but I am a little stumped on this.
I am thinking of Malaysia of course. Let’s say you swoop in with your 14 fighters (OMG!!!) and sure you likely lose a couple fighters but your two UK guys capture it.
But assuming I capture it right back I just want to know what damage you can do either by choice or by game design.

Hey I have another rules question: While I doubt I would bother to attack that giant fleet you got rocking out by Java, how are order of loss handled? Is that a fixed thing or does it depend on each battle? And who specifies this ?
This is such a complex game; it makes my normal chess games look simple!
And there are no Economic victories right? In that expansion game that I told you about and which consumes most of my play time, that’s a big deal. But in this game the Axis have to actually beat the allies and I just don’t see how they can do it.

WOW what a Nail Biter - all nerves rolling that bomber vs your lone Brit in Turkey !!! In hindsight, however, I guess that is NOT worth the risk…
Having said that, however, one thing I picked up recently in this game is the knowledge that masses of planes can and often should take out ground units.
Anyway I still don’t really know what to do and figure these Axis and Allies games are likely all set up for an early Axis victory but if not that, eventual Allied victory since the allies have such a territorial advantage.

Yea I do want to start another game and have at least something of a strategy guide like: Germany does the usual Barbarossa type thing but maybe has some options in the med.
And I had NO IDEA what to do with Italy so anything would be helpful there.
And Japan is fun actually. And I can sense that the usual play for them is to hide in the upper left - but I had no idea that Russia could reinforce there.
I’ve a few personal crisis at the moment so I would like us to keep playing this game just so that I can learn what to do. Then start a new game in a week or two when hopefully the crisis have been resolved well.
I’m definitely having fun with this game in any case and hope that you will too even though I am a beginner.
I’ll get another turn out soon.
@mike64 I double checked it and it is fine. I go confused over the buy - so when it came time to place the air base I bought, AHA, like magic it was replaced by two subs and inf…
In other words , It is all fine and it’s your turn. It was easier to just place the subs and inf ad then edit them out and put in that airbase.
Sorry for that - I need to further develop game play as well as my skills in this game
@mike I made some big mistakes on that turn and tried to fix via edit but screwed that up too
I think I should have just started it over. what do you think?
