    • RE: New game called: Battle of France 1940

      @C_Strabala:

Is this game still available? I am highly interested in finding a copy…

I checked for his website, because I had it, in my favorite searches, but the website is no longer there.

I’m not sure what is going on.

Sorry, that is all I know.

EPISODES OF COMMUNITY PAINTERS AND CUSTOMIZERS

      EPISODE ONE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uG5C7N5pZ8U
      EPISODE TWO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mv6YdLWG7rY

Hey guys wanted to make an exciting announcement.

If you follow You Tube, then most of you know, DTROY.

We have become close friends, even know we have never met, we have become texting buddies, and one of the few people on the forums, that has actually, seen my face, via my phone.

We were talking, today, about content for his You Tube Channel, and I told him you ought to do a series on, “Painters and Customizers in the Community.”

He thought it was a great idea.

If your interested in DTROY, displaying your Painted Pieces or Customizations, then contact him via his You Tube Channel.

When you contact him, send clear pictures, the title of your content, and a brief description of the content.

**Example: John Brown’s Painted Japanese Navy: Disrupter Camo Scheme

Show Casing my Japanese Navy, I painted.

      Cheers!

      John**

Something short and simple. He may have to edit some things, but he is willing to display people’s content,

Especially, those of us who do not use YouTube, to put content out.

Instead of axisandallies.org being the only place to showcase your content, you now have world wide access, to display your creations.

I thought I would pass this on, to those of you who want DTROY, to showcase what you have created. :-D

      **Cheers!

    • RE: Can HBG and GHQ be mixed?

MP, the video of DTROYS GHQ models, is called, “Painted Axis and Allies game board pieces.” This was DTROYS first video ever on Dec. 9, 2013.

      I hope this helps!

      Cheers!

David, I personally don’t have the GHQ models, so I don’t know how they feel, but I’m sure these guys can describe them. :-)

    • RE: Can HBG and GHQ be mixed?

I can tell you, that DTROY on youtube, has bought the GHQ tanks, which are metal, if memory serves me correct, along with HBG’s miniatures, which are plastic.

He goes into great detail on his very first German video, which that video is 3 years old, about the differences.

As far as ships and planes, not sure the scale of GHQ, but everything HBG does, just about, is on scale with your OOB pieces.

When painted, they both look great. You can detail, the insane detail in the GHQ tanks, but they look cool.

I only have HBG and OOB, but check his older German video on the tanks.

I hope this helps and welcome to the forums! :-)

      Cheers!

      @bgugs:

You work quick! I haven’t gotten to anything else since classes started and I got my new job. Those look awesome. Will definitely be referencing your work when I get to my Germans.

      Thanks bgugs1

Everyone told me, the more I paint, the faster, I will get.

I like variety, so I came up with historical, and did some camo schemes, for just fun.

Even though, this game is based on World War 2,  I use creative freedom, to have fun, and since I have to look at them every day, I like little spice on my steak, lol. :-D

    • RE: John Brown's Painted Axis and Allies Pieces

I hope you enjoyed, these six desert schemes. I painted 104 pieces. Not every scheme got every piece, especially the metallic series, because they are mostly mobile units, with little artillery and no regular trucks, but I did give them some mechs.

I thought it would be fun to spice the desert up.

Next up will be, GERMANY PART TWO: GROUP TWO: DESERT CAMO SCHEME REGULAR INFANTRY.

      Until next time!

      Cheers! :-D
