      11. Now it is the Allied turn. The same procedure is followed as before. The defending CAP fighter shoots at the incoming planes, and they get to fire back.

      12. The Japanese CAP fighter misses, but the Allied planes shoot it down.

      13. Both planes select the same carrier group to go after. The ships miss their AA fire, so the planes are free to attack.

      14. Both planes score a hit on the carrier and it is sunk. Planes must now return home.

      15. Planes on both sides must land on their carriers. The US plane lost its carrier, and so must ditch at sea (destroyed). Both sides may reshuffle the composition of their groups. At this point, the Japanese player decides if they wish to retreat, and they choose to continue the battle instead. The Allies, however, choose to retreat, The Allied ships return to port and the Japanese fleet continues on its original mission.

Asking the community here which map version would be preferred from below, or there a combination not represented? The game is European theatre, but there is an Asian/Pacific half as well. Game will be offered through HBG.

Historical flags only on capitals or important cities. Territories outside of homeland use lighter shade of colour.

Historical flags on capitals and small flags on territories to denote ownership along with colour. Territories outside of the homeland will use local flag.
      4efd671c-9f95-454f-813a-ea2451814a57-image.png

Axis & Allies roundels used instead of historical flags. Territories outside of homeland still use local flags.

Axis & Allies flags used for all spaces. Outside homeland is a lighter shade.

Lol. This was way bigger than just the 6th army! Thing is, if he was paying attention, he could have prevented me from cutting him off. All he needed to do was reinforce just one of the spaces I had to attack, and that would have done it.

      Regardless, he wasn’t winning anyway.

You might want to take a look at Total World War which does show using rail within more of the axis & allies type system: https://triplea-game.org/map/total-world-war/

If you want something deeper then I’d recommend War in the East: https://store.steampowered.com/app/370540/Gary_Grigsbys_War_in_the_East/

Been playing my old Napoleon in Europe by Eagle Games.

I originally bought the accessories to this game including the flag stickers for the flag bearers.

Some are coming off now. I know that there were people out there that wanted a scan of these.  Well I can scan them if someone wants to make stickers?

I was musing about the Caproni, but think it would not be distinguishable as anything special. The Re.2007 would work as a recognizable jet fighter, though. I think.

I am using HBGs Me 262 (bit small), Kikka and P80, so I would want all the fighters to be in that size even if they are not to scale among themselves. Maybe a Gloster at 700 would do it for me.

One of the other stickies in this forum is the actual FAQ thread, titled “Axis and Allies 1914 FAQ/Question and Answer Thread”. However, you are correct in that there are contradictions (including the one you brought up) in this thread. The Russian Revolution rules used to be a lot different before they were rehauled in the official errata, and those previous FAQ questions and answers still reside here. It would be nice if this thread were to get cleaned up, but Jim010 hasn’t been on in almost two months, so I don’t know if he still pays attention to this thread.

What I can tell, though, is that all the information summarized before the Q&A begins is accurate. The Q&A in the first 6 posts was made before the Russian Revolution changes, so only trust answers to RR questions from the 7th post on. If I’m still wrong on that, the stuff in red in the first post of this thread is for sure correct; anything contradicting it is wrong.
