Can I pipe in with another convoy question?
The convoy in sz10. If there are Japanese ships there, does that deny the US the Mexican money?
Cheers

Interesting. From the rules, I never would have got that. I understood that new planes could be placed on an old or new carrier, but not vice versa. My thought was that there is no carrier there at the end of non-combat, so the planes can’t land on anything. And planes are required to land at teh end of non-combat. This is an exception, then.
Got it.
Only if they ended their movement in the carrier’s sea zone. If they are in the territory from which the carrier is being mobilized, they cannot be moved onto it.
Ok, just so I am clear. I move my planes onto the empty sea zone in non-combat, then build my carrier, and my planes are automatically on the carrier? That is legal?
I need to add a question here as well. Before I bring it up to my opponent, I need to be sure.
Let’s say I have 4 planes from the beginning. I build an aircraft carrier. Can I place my old planes on my new carrier during place units phase?
I say you can’t, but I need to be sure.
Cheers
OK, I need clarification on this as well.
I amphibiosly attack Philipines. There is a transport in the sea zone. My BBs can ignore the transport and do shore bombardment, while I hit the transport with planes and/or other ships?
While I have your attention, can I build a minor factory on a zone worth 1 IPC?
Cheers
The fllet goes to Pearl, but not the planes. The rest of teh planes & bombers on Kwangtung on an airbase gives the dual adjantage of hitting yunnan with all airpower and hitting an allied fleet if it ventures in range.
It seems no one else is playing this way. I am curious to see how this would play out against the strategies being used out there right now (with no bid). Someone play against me PBEM?
PS - I find it amusing that someone is giving me -1 karma every time I post. It is good to see that even without trying I can deeply affect someone’s psyche. I really can make a difference :-D!
If you are looking at it as a ploy, then the US should probably try and minimize losses. I wouldnt send any planes stationed at Pearl out to play - save them for the counter attack. Also, make sure the Brits are in position to capitalize on the Japanese fleet being away. They might be able to stage a nice raid on the DEI or farther up the coast of China.
Unless you block with the US, how are you preventing Japan from taking Pearl at all? Transports from Japan make it. If the carriers are 1 space away from Hawaii at teh end of J2, which they can be, the Japan can hit with 10 ground units (assuming an initial Japanese buy of a minor factory and 2 TTs) and fighters/TAC.
I get ignored every time I mention anything about this, but I am really confused why the japanese couldn’ go all out for Hawaii.
What are you all doing to stop this? If the entire Japanese fleet is there, it just isn’t feasible to hit it on US3. I am not beating my chest, but really would like to know what others are doing to eat through 3 carriers 6 planes 2 BB 4 DD 2 sb etc. I find that I can’t retake it for a number of turns (I’m still trying to figure out the best buys to do this) and I’m in serious danger of losing Sydney right after. Everything else seems irrelevent.
Following all this, I have to ask - are you all NOT trying to take Hawaii as your first city? Why not, as it is the easiest to fall?
What if Japan parks her fleet with tts on turn 2 between Hawaii and San Francisco? I can’t hold Hawaii and San Francisco.
I just haven’t been able to stop Hawaii from falling.
This guy definitley answers his e-mails
I need to check out the new Pacific game to see if ships are in order. I am also looking into planes and some utility units like ports, airports, trains… So many thing to make and so little money. :O)
Formal release date is set for the Origins Convention but I hope to be selling them before.
Happy New Year, JackI’d say black, as Avalonhill has made black its standard for Germany.
I’m looking forward to this product. I’ll spread the news on www.axisandallies.org.
Maybe ships will follow?
Have a Happy New Year!
Again, anyone with light blue Table Tactics pieces they are willing to part with?
Happy New Year
Also, does anybody have the light blue WWII pieces from Table Tactics they are willing to part with?
I can’t comment on whether he will release them, but he replied about my inquiry as to what units he would use.

To: XXXDifferent classes of tanks and tank destroyers. Also 4 classes of infantry units. US green, UK tan the standard colors. Just not sure if I should be with gray or black for the Germans.
Wow, that is something to look forward to. Can you disclose what units you will be doing, and in what colours?
Cheers
We no longer have our WWII pieces in the Xeno colors. In June we plan to release a new set of land units that are country specific and in 8 colors.
Best Regards,
JackHello,
I recall that you had produced pieces in the colours that Xeno games used for World at War. Do you still produce them in the colours of the light green for china and the light blue for France? I have not been able to find these colours in some time. In particular, I was looking for the sets with the half tracks.
Cheers
In terms of detail, I would definately say that there will be much less in Table Tactics, but the style they went for was different.
The quality was always good - no flash, and the edges and detailing were always crisp in the products I bought from them.
I wouldn’t necessarily buy them instead of FMG, but perhaps to complement in order to offer more unit variation.
I emailed Table Tactics about getting some units in the old Xeno colours, and this is the reply I got. Looks like the playing pieces junkies (Myself included) have to spend more money come the summer.

I was wondering if it would be separate from Europe or not.
Ignore the karma - seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. I’m actually mystified as to why it is still part of the forum.
