    • Iron, Blood, Snow & Mud

I have a copy of Iron, Blood, Snow & Mud by Phalanx games.

I added Axis & Allies pieces and control markers to replace card tokens that came with the game. Have not played it, ironically. Just have too many games.

      Asking $40 plus shipping

      Message me if interested.

These are recommended numbers, assuming you use chips as well:

    • RE: New Game - World War II on the Western Front!

@PGsquig As for units, if you have a copy of Europe, the only thoing extra ou would need is to somehow mark paratroopers and air transport planes for UK, Germany and US. Trucks for France, UK, US and Germany, and that is it.

For markers, everyone should have the needed control markers, but fortresses (I use D-Day fortresses), supply tokens (Use Bulge or North Africa), entrenchment (I use the green chips). That is all.

I do have a deluxe version tht includes everything except the miniastures coming.

      @PGsquig

Terrain absolutely does play a factor in movement. It can slow down or funnel the enemy.

Weather is optional, and yes, it can wreck the Mulberry Harbour.

Supply is brought up by truck just like in North Africa. Bulge is more what I modeled this after, but North Africa is pretty much the same in terms of supply mechanics.

How a game turn is conducted is different, though. You choose a unit (or group of units) to move to a single space, whether it is to attck, or must to move. Then you do it againwith new units and keep repeating. This allows for you to hit a space, and if not successful, you can hit it again. Or if you successfully clear a space, then the next batch of units could then move through the hole you punched. Supply can be brought up and used in the same turn. It opens up alot of possibilities compared with the standard way. That being said, there will be a more ‘standard’ ruleset in the future for those that prefer to keep things simple.

    • New Game - World War II on the Western Front!

New game to add to your collections!

This game is focused on the western European theatre.=, and can be found here:

      https://combatminiatures.org/en-ca/collections/historical-board-games/products/world-war-ii-on-the-western-front

Complexity is about the same as Axis & Allies: Battle of the Bulge, or the upcoming Axis & Allies: Stalingrad.

      Here is the BGG page:

      https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgameexpansion/446680/world-war-ii-on-the-western-front

Two scenarios are included in the game:

The Battle of France, May 10th, 1940. This scenario starts on the very day the Germans started their invasion of the Low Countries and France. The obvious place to punch through is Ardennes, but as the Allied player, will you make the same mistakes and get encircled, or can you manage your forces better and engage the Germans on even terms? If France is knocked out, is there time for Sealion?

D-Day to the Rhine, June 6th, 1944. This scenario begins with the Allies landing. The Allied player is allowed to do 2 landings, but they do not have to be on Normandy - other options present themselves! As the Germans, can you fend off the Allies and keep them out of Germany for the win?

Complexity of this game is medium is about the same as Axis & Allies: Battle of the Bulge, or Axis & Allies: Stalingrad.

Features of the game include rules for:

terrain, such as forest, mountains, beaches, wetlands, and rivers
special movement that allows for armored exploitation
      airborne specific missions
      amphibious assaults
the need to keep units supplied using trucks and supply tokens like in A&A Battle of the Bulge.
weather , which can affect the use of planes, and ports
event cards, which can add unexpected events, such as food shortages, civil unrest, severe weather, morale, political interference, etc …
What is included? The components found in this game are:

1 18x27 mounted folding game map
      1 colour illustrated rulebook
      1 double sided battleboard
      4 double sided set-up charts & player’s aid
28 event cards for The Battle of France
26 event cards for D-Day to the Rhine
      3 Off Board Cards
In addition the the components provided in this game, you will need to supply the following in order to play:

Control markers for France, Germany, UK, and US
      Fortress markers
      Beachhead markers
      Supply markers
      Strategic Damage markers
      Entrenched markers
      Mulberry Harbour marker
      Airfield markers
      6 sided dice
Miniatures units for France, UK, US, and Germany
      Coloured chips
Most of these components can be found in Axis & Allies Europe: 1940.

    • How much complexity do you want in your Axis games?

What sort of complexity do players prefer for their Axis & Allies games? Super basic like the original Milton Bradley game, or more complex, like Bulge, or Stalingrad?

And where do you prefer to have a more indepth game? Is it with lots of unit types with varied abilities, supply rules, terrain, more detailed combat etc … ? Do yo want lots of optional rules, or diplomacy rules?
