holy crap why did you dig this up? I mean I laughed at the user name. Then I was surprised to see Yanny and TG posting. I are confused…
Not to mention the majority of those we initiated…but that won’t stop Garg from rejecting reality.
Oh so America initated 9/11?
I was unaware.
Yes, because nothing ever happened in those regions prior to 9/11. So, right you are.
Not to mention the majority of those we initiated…but that won’t stop Garg from rejecting reality.
Garg, you can do a google search on just about anything and get a hit.
If you google aliens impregnated Richard Nixon you get over a 1/4 million hits. Of course if you put it in quotes for the exact phrase you get no hits.
In WWII, do you think any of the weapons sent to covert agents found there way to the Germany military? Since that possibility could not be reduced to zero, do you think the logical conclusion was to then offer zero support to covert operations in case the bad guy gets some of your goodies?
I think NATO did the right thing in Libya. Do I think there was zero chance of support falling into the wrong hands, of course not. Was the risk worth it? I think so.
So, if one wants to help anti-Assad forces one will take the risk that some of that support may fall into the wrong hands, I am sure some of it will. Do you offer zero support because a rifle might end up in the hands of Al-Qaeda? Yeah, I don’t think flooding the area with stinger missiles is the thing to do either.
Garg, if the current US president is not familiar with the concept of blow-back then god help us all!
There is history here, though. The Taliban was essentially trained & funded by the CIA. Of course at the time they were devoid of precognition, so didn’t think it would come back to bite them in the ass. Iraq is similar but not exactly the same, as well as Noriega.
But either way, what Garg quotes is a Tennessee Senator fearing that Al-Qaeda will end up with the support given to Assad opposition groups (which apparently some oppose, probably for their own power).
@Imperious:
I agree with Garg, Lincoln was probably the best president after Teddy of course.
I’m surprised more people don’t say William Henry Harrison.
Skip extremism. From an objective/historical/factual point of view, Islam in general is a more accurate description.
It’s definetly over the 50% hump.
You really think that the western world is at war with over 50% of Muslims? Wow, I hope that’s not the case- something like 1.6 Billion people in the world are Muslim…
If it weren’t for Garg being 'Nadian, I’d say we’re American: we’re at war with everything.
Lincoln was a tyrant, a hypocrite, and a self serving power monger.
Good Riddance.
One of your best trolls yet. I almost fell for it.
skyrim is pretty awesome. I would have over 300 hours into it if I hadn’t scratched my disk.
@Cmdr:
Glad you are better, need you around to spar with, you know?
I’m in Kentucky, it’s pretty cool. You should look into it.
I am, had a job offer to do sat tv in Lousiville, KY but had to turn it down, not sure if I can handle climbing a ladder with a dish in my hand right now.
That, and, I am not overly impressed with Louisville. However, it is AMAZIG how beautiful Kentucky is from Hazard county all the way west to Metropolis, IL (yea that’s in IL, but its’ darn close to the KY border, and that’s where I crossed over from last time.)
Louisville is not bad, I visit once in a while. Lexington is great, small enough to easily get away from, big enough to have some perks like other cities. And if UK wins anything people go crazy.
I’ve always thought it was live life to the fullest/max and let go of your fears.
A nice sentiment, but the population that uses it seriously are some of the biggest jokers I’ve ever met. I mean that as a joke of life.
@Cmdr:
I disagree. How many HALOs are there now? How many Final Fantasies? They have high end graphics for cutscenes and, in my opinion, drivel graphics for the game itself.
It seems to be industry standard to blow half the budget on the graphics for the scenes and leave the rest to be barely passable to say it is better than 20 years ago.
Really you need to be gaming on a PC if this is your concern. Drop a few K into a nice machine and the right games and we won’t see you again for a while.
WARNING NO FILTER@Jermofoot:
I’m Malachi…graphics aren’t my focus on games. They just need to be fun. I play Minecraft because it’s awesome, the pixelation just adds to its character.
Do you use the same line to describe your woman? ;)
Pigxelation adds to the character? :lol:
If I’m pixelated then character matters less and less… :evil:

Thats like saying Tanks are to overpowered, you cant use them.
Is this referring to what I said? If so, that’s not at all what I conveyed.
Anyways…
The issue being discussed here is the difference between war and murder.
Another side of that equation is the moral question from “Minority Report”, which is - “is pre-crime criminal indictable?” The problem being that everyday people are being sentenced to death, just because of who they associate with, regardless of if they have committed a crime or not; because the balance of probabilities suggest it’s only a matter of time before they “carry out an act”.
threadjacked because potty humor is and always will be funny.
I had Subway last night, no problems.
@Cmdr:
At least mcdonalds out here doesn’t dump 50 pounds of salt per pound of fries like Wendy’s does out here.
Remember, I live in The People’s Republic of Illinois. We’re just like Detroit, but 40 years lagging in progress!
No one is worse off than Detroit. No one.
@Cmdr:
Who ever said subway was fresh meat? They said eat fresh, well, the onions are probably fresh! The dirt is definitely fresh! Ya know, they never said eat fresh FOOD did they? lol.
And Gamerman, I have to say, that is NOT our best and brightest, we have way better! A certain mayor of a city here in IL who bulldozed an airport in the middle of the night because the owners didn’t want to sell comes to mind, a certain state senator who tells governors what to do and how to do it, or puts them in jail comes to mind. Said senator’s daughter who never has an opponent when she runs for office, also comes to mind. lol.
Welcome to IL, vote early, vote often!
So you’d like a dictator that oversteps their boundaries and disregards due process/justice system and runs unopposed?
Have you tried North Korea?
Ok, saw the clip. How can you really tell anything from that? All I can see are her legs, which are fine.
What kind of supermodels are you banging, IL?
LOL…
I had forgotten about the Uhura dance…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxk1BSQo8bg
But YOU have forgotten this!
Not exactly my flavour… but not bad!
Yeah…I’m gonna say she’s smoking there. I don’t know what IL is talking about though, I don’t remember seeing it.
@CWO:
Drones can be seen as a logical extension of a point noted by Richard Overy in his book Why the Allies Won. He argues that the Anglo-American bombing campaign against Germany in the West (as contrasted with the Russian ground offensive in the East) reflected the Anglo-American preference for technology-based, capital-intensive methods of warfare which minimized the amount of manpower that had to be put into the direct line of fire. Drones raise the level of the required technology even higher, and reduce the number of directly exposed personnel even further to (in principle) zero.
Can we say “duh”?
I agree with frim, but in the case of open conflict I feel they are fair game. They aren’t really that useful for asymmetrical warfare/small cell terrorism.
