      The red I posted was Larry’s summary of others in the long pages of posts.  I actually do not agree with everything in red in my previous post, I just wanted to jump start the brainstorming.

      At this point, I could keep the current rules with a small change of damage (3 +1d6).
      or just 2d6.

      A lot is going on at the Larry Harris site and I wanted more participation by members of  this forum.
      Many of us do not post at the other site very often.

      @jeffdestroyer:

      thanks,  I did not put the air base/naval/factories up yet

      yeah, that’s weird. The capital actually has a minor factory! It’s like ANZAC not having a naval base on NSW

      @GrayBlaZe:

      Yes and I have even a bigger color difference between the two European boards.  So much so that when I show it off so far to three different people the first thing thay say is wow the size is impressive, the second thing is, “look how different the blue is in the sea between these two boards.” stands out big time.  Not a big deal to me but I can see how obvious it is when it keeps getting pointed out…

      Ours also has quite a color difference. There’s more yellow in the blue of the Pacific board - or the other way around, can’t check, don’t have the board here. It shows less in the land areas since abit more yellow in brownish colors won’t show that much.

      Also it shows so hard because there happens to be a LOT of ocean there. :)

      Doesn’t really bother me, though.

      kcdzim is correct.  Making a combat move against a power immediately makes all sea zones containing its surface warships hostile.

      I actually like the distinction.  Your allies don’t capture your land, they liberate it, but you do capture your own land.

      Really does not change much of my plans yet…maybe in the future, but not yet.

      Subs submerge before any dice are rolled, attacker first then defender.  At the time the USA player rolled his hits, the decision should have already been made and acted upon.

      Japan could leave the TR unprotected for a turn since the China Fig can not attack it and no one else can either.
