      It should be.  Chinese units can be placed in any Chinese controlled territory.

      I really like the Big Pieces, so I think that I will start using the Chinese flags as damage token or the Chinese factory itself.
      If somone edits the Big Pieces an adds  a damaged Factory, it would be the best choice.

    • Rules: on N.O. UK AA gun on Soviet territory

      Rules?
      Does an UK AA gun on Soviet territory count as an “other allied piece” for the Soviet N.O. if it is moved into a red space.

      I was thinking how the INDIA aa gun could end up retreating to a red space over a few turns.

      I like the damaged factory vs using flags

      The bombers and a few other pcs look to modern and not WWII
      I also like the pcs of nations to be different when possible

    • RE: Control of Territory

      UKR is a red territory for both scenarios.  If Italy takes it, then they will own it and collect IPC’s

      The 42 scenario does not change the starting ownership.

      @The:

      Is there anything by way of a new “map” for Triple A for AA50? I haven’t bought the actual game yet, and thought taking a look the virtual way might be nice. Also, where can I find the rules book? Do I have to go through the errata first?  :-P

      Triplea does have an AA50 map.

    • RE: IC in Norway for Germany?

      Norway is very difficult to take back if lost.  The Allies could take it and keep it.

      I enjoyed using Triplea for Revised and I felt it worked well, but I have been using battlemap for AA50.

    • RE: North-West Europe

      I think NW Europe affects the allies more.
      The UK can not move into sz5 with all of its fleet and hit France at the same time it lands in other sz 5 conncected spaces.  The UK would have to split its fleet up in order to hit France.
      Think about how many revised games had this move before AA50.

    • RE: This is a Limited Edition Game

      @toblerone77:

      I personally expect to see the A&A franchise to dissappear altogether in a year or two. I’m stocking up on as much AA stuff asI can get.

      I don’t think so.  Money is there to be made.  Look at the number of Axis and Allies board games and the few computer games that have been made in the past decade vs the 1980’s.

      They could make a computer game version of every game and introduce it to new crowds who have never visited a forum.  I realize that the AI is a problem, but Classic and Iron Blitz brought new people to game.  Computer games offer a synergy to the product that would enhance other sales.

    • RE: Naval Units: what is worth buying?

      @Bardoly:

      Bombers are WAY better than Fighters in all aspects other than the following:

      1. Defense on land.
        The Bomber is weaker than the Fighter, but with the extra range, it can usually get back to a safer position than the Fighters can, and since neither can land on newly captured territory, as long as your Bombers land behind the front lines, they are rarely in danger of ever having to roll for defense.  Usually the only times that Bombers ever roll Defense is when other Bombers (or sometimes Fighters) are attacking them.  For land defense, 3 Infantry or 2 Tanks are quite better than Fighters, so why ever buy Fighters in a land war?

      2. Defense on Carriers.
        Fighters are the “Queen” of Fleet defense, so if you are building fleets, then you will be purchasing some of them, but at 34 IPCs for a fully loaded AC, versus 3 Bombers for 36 IPCs, I would much rather be the attacking player with 3 Bombers.  For an extra 2 IPCs, the odds are that you kill the fully loaded AC at a loss of 2 Bombers.  That’s trading 24 IPCs for 34.  Keep that up and you’ll win the game.

      Fig are good in land war for mobility (moving 4 spaces vs 2 for tanks to supplement a distant force for a turn that may be destroyerd without help) Reinforcements may be a turn away. Fig can help hold the line.

    • RE: AA50 Rules Errata and Q+A

      In this case, I wound sincerely recommend an extra step before “attacking units fire”, just to check special abilities of all units. This shall remove the confusions around “having Destroyer eliminated in the middle of a combat”. Plus, this extra step can accommodate future house rules if additional special abilities are added onto other units.

      I made a flowchart to illustrate my point. In addition, I tried my best to clear up the “press attack & retreat” step by splitting it into several condition checks. Should I misinterpret anything in the flowchart, please point them out. Many thanks.

      Best,

      LOL This chart reminds me of work.  IPM?
