I would not want to leave France alone and allow them to place 6 more inf down or allow the UK to move any units out of Paris to stop Italy in S. France

You cant leave the UK BB’s  alone. You are likely only going to lose a sub or so in each battle.  What a trade.

I might consider leaving the uk and french cruiser alone for one round or the Canada TR/DD.  We will see.

    • RE: Are Tech Dice back to only one roll per 5 IPCs spent?

I liked the system for tech in AA50, but I often wondered if old tech tokens should have some upkeep to keep the research going… lets say1 ipc per turn for old tokens if tech is not reached.

    • RE: Global Board compared to Anniversary Board

I like AA50 when I am trying to get some old players back into the game who know the basic rules.
After one or two quick games of AA50, they will be ready to move on to Global.

    • RE: Picture of US & Sea Zones together, West meets East

the position of it with a naval base shows the historical importance of Halifax, Nova Scotia and its distance in relation to Europe.

I have met plenty of old timers who sailed in supply convoys from that port during the war.  It may happen in the game as well.

    • RE: UK1 @ SZ 95 scenario question

Not sure how it may turn out delaying Italy one turn at sz95

If the UK takes out the first Italian fleet, it may not be able to rebuild ships off of the UK safely or prevent Sea lion with only 29 main ipcs.
Italy could build one DD to block the French or attack the French fleet or the remaining UK in the Med. with fig.

Germany will be a strong counter the next turn and the UK may not have any navy left.  one or two German TR might be enough of a Sea lion threat to prevent the UK from attacking the Italian fleet.

If the Uk can be protected, then Moving the CV and other ships protect the French Fleet in sz 93 might be the better risk.  French fleet could leave on its turn and then the UK on its turn before Italy moves again

I assume the CV is attacking with a loaded friendly fig aboard and not defending?

The statement looked like it could be read either way when I first read it.

    • RE: What qualities make a great A&A player?

Having your pcs positioned for flexibility for secondary opportunities and
the will to take a moderate risks that the opposing player may not see as rationale at first.

positioning pcs to feint an attack to force the opponents pieces to move away from the real target.
