A lot of good posts, but a lot depends on what happens with the other powers prior to the USA entering the war.
ie Did Taranto fail badly? etc.
I think you should post your video with all of the what iffs…maybe make two videos.

RE: What's the longest time France has survived? Please read the post belowposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
On the rare chance that Paris does not fall on G1, then italy can grab it on I1.
In our game last month this happened with an Axis win in the end.
An extra 19 ipcs plus the Paris tt as well made for a strong Italy going into I2 -
RE: Do you raid?posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Japan bombing India can be devastating. It can nearly stop them from producing for several rounds. UK usually does not have enough interceptors to counter Japan during the first rounds of war if Japan positions itself. I have even brought some TACS to hit the AB and NB.
If India is at -20 on its factory, it is usually best to hold the $$$ for one round to avoid being hit again and again. I have seen this a few times. It limits the responses that UK Pacific can do and the India Infantry stack will not grow during this time.
Need to build at least one or two Japan Bombers during peacetime in order to be ready for this attack.

RE: Save Paris or Londonposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
I think the UK would not be able to hold off the Germans in London if they went all in to keep Paris, but they could make it difficult for the Italians to take Paris after a German failure.
I just saw the Allies win the Paris battle for the first time in our last game. It changes the dynamic when Italy takes it.

RE: How is the balance with the new Alpha 2 changes? Please give your view.posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
A lot of effort has gone into the USA NO’s to provide Pacific battles and consequences.
The global game is big and long and I have not played enough with Alpha 2 to notice if the USA player can ignore Europe without consequence on a regular basis with various German strategies. Having a different USA NO for the European side can compensate for it if there is an unbalanced situation. We will see. -

I like the idea of having a NO for Gib and Suez that affects the U.S. There should be some offset if a player only plays one side of the board.
Adjusting the NO’s on the Pacific side for the US improved the game. We may need a small adjustment like this for the European theater.
Another idea might be Axis subs in the Atlantic.( ie the US loses 5 or 7 ipcs for Axis subs in the Atlantic, similar to the UK NO)

RE: ANZAC strategy after the hammer fallsposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
I think the ANZAC are more subject to the whims of the enemy than any other player. You might get a couple of islands early on. You might have a fortress of fig. and infantry. It really depends on what Japan does since they could ignore ANZAC vs other natural theaters on the board.

Convoy zones: I do not see the income change if more than one enemy naval unit is in the sz. It just seems to use one unit with the highest damage.

@Get:
Would anybody know where to get good cardboard to print these on. I’ll print card stock, and mount it on…
Ideally this cardboard would be on and the same with a suggested roundel-making cardboard, does anyone know of a good roundel-making cardboard?I believe Imperious Leader has a link somewhere in which he prints tokens on an Avery Products sticker sheet. He then places it on a smooth chip from any game/hobby store.

These are all good points, especially on a board of this size with a lot of new rules and options.

The Portland group lets the team talk and meet while the opposing team is building and thinking.
I think it is a good idea after watching them.

RE: Time Limit Poll - How long do you allow each player for turnposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
I met a group of players who use the “Cone of Silence Method”….No talking to the player who is taking his turn. Most disusss before turn starts.

RE: AAG40 FAQposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Krieg.
scenario:
US moves into sz 6 on its non combat move during its turn 3, and it declares war at the end of mobilize units.I believe this would prevent Japan from loading units on a TR in sz6 the following turn since Japan is already at war from the previous turn.

RE: Do Air Bases / Naval Bases, stop the Blitz?posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
if AB and NB stop the blitz, then there will be no blitzing in W. Europe. All of the TT have something.
