    • Cruise missiles with Drones

Say you are firing a cruise missile into a territory you are attacking with other units. Is it possible to use a drone to support the missile and then the second round have the drone support another unit?

Can Italy move thru the Suez or strait of Gibraltar(while neutral) and then declare war on the same turn by attacking the British in the combat move phase?

    • French surrender

If France is forced to surrender by being surrounded wouldnt they not lose their money to the conquering power since their capital has to be taken for this to occur?

      Any help or info appreciated.

    • RE: KMT CCP truce

@Noneshallpass I always assumed that the ‘if’ was more of a ‘if these conditions have been met’ so as long as a major power has declared war on china, then the truce can be called. That being said it does seem rather ‘gamey’ to be able to break the truce and call it to suit their needs. On the other hand wouldn’t this type of cooperation be more in line with what they actually did and how they acted?

Can the KMT and CCP call a truce multiple times? As in call the truce, then break it, and then call it again.

Any help or info would be appreciated thanks.

    • USSR entering China

Can the USSR enter China before July 1939 or do they have to wait until then? Specifically to reinforce CCP controlled zones but also possibly to attack kmt or Japanese controlled zones in China.

Any help or info would be appreciated thanks.

    • RE: Spain

Ok so if Germany and USSR go to war while the civil war is still going on then the factions do not align and instead still operate as controlled minors to them?

Basically the factions can never align then, only a neutral(nationalist or republican) Spain can align and only under the circumstances mentioned in 13.1?

    • Spain

Im pretty sure i know the answer but my opponent is not convinced so just wanted to be clear on this. In 13.1 under Participation it says ‘Germany and USSR are not at war with Spanish forces and cannot attack Spanish units or land zones(or vice versa).’

What happens if the nationalists and republicans are still fighting when Germany and USSR go to war?

If they align is there then no conclusion to the civil war in terms of VPs or free divisions?

Say Germany and USSR don’t go to war, would the nationalists align with Germany(or the republicans to the USSR) once they go to war with another major power?

      Any clarification is appreciated, thanks.

    • Special Fortification Zones

In 12.8 (a) it specifies that ‘All islands that are not part of the Home Country of a Major Power’ are Special Fortification Zones. I’m curious how this would apply to islands that have more than one territory such as Borneo/Sarawak or Dutch New Guinea/New Guinea.

Would a fort or coastal art in one of the territories protect the whole zone? I’m inclined to think they would cover all borders on their half of the island but am not sure. Or do they not fit the definition of islands as they pertain to special fort. zones?

Any help or info would be appreciated, thanks.

    • RE: Tundra and Ice question

I always understood it as ‘Tundra’ zones were those with the shading of the northern Russian zones, northern Canadian zones and Iceland while the ‘Ice’ zones were those with white shading like Antarctica, Greenland and Iceland but that was just me.

I dont care for the tundra/ice rules either but I like the idea of only ski troops being able to move through them.

    • Anzac surrenders?

I always use the same color units for all the commonwealth 2 keep things simple, however i am now wondering if it is necessary 2 keep track of Anzac boats & land units in the case of the possibility of New Zealand & Sydney getting captured resulting in an Anzac surrender, in which case all Anzac units would b removed from the map. Am I correct in assuming this? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    • RE: Iraq alignment clarification

I would say yes they should align to Germany at the end of that same combat phase. It fits the Iraq alignment conditions since there is a German land unit in a land zone adjacent to Iraq.

    • Turkey at War exp

In the turkey at war expansion if turkey aligns to the axis and Italy subsequently surrenders, what happens to turkey? Do they surrender as well, are they then operated by the German player on their turn or do they still operate as independent during the Italian players turn? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    • RE: Tigerman's Barbarossa Game now at HBG

Had a few questions regarding this game.

      1. It says AA guns, supplies and trains are destroyed if targeted by SBR and hit. Was curious if 1 hit destroys all supplies/AA guns/or trains in a targeted zone or just 1 of them? The way it describes them in plural terms throws me off.

      2. What happens when multiple generals meet in battle? For example 2 Russian generals meet 2 German generals in a battle, do you add their skill levels and roll ? Or do u only use the highest skill level and roll? And how is it decided which attribute is used or is the winner of roll able to use multiple attributes?

      3. What are considered vehicles? For times when vehicles get a modifier to their roll. I was thinking vehicles would be all armor, mechs, SP artillery, and maybe tank destroyers but wasn’t sure. I figured SS grenadiers would be considered infantry since their counterparts for Russia are Guard Rifles.

      4. I understand that all units being used for combat are moved in the combat move phase and then all units can be moved in the non combat phase, even those used in combat. However it specifically mentions aircraft are able to move up to their move limit during combat move and then must land in a tt that has been friendly since beginning of the turn. My question is : Are aircraft able to move in the combat move phase even if they aren’t going into combat and then land in the non-combat phase and if so do they need a supply to be used each time like other units?

I wasn’t sure about this since it seemed strange that aircraft could move their limit in combat move and then again in non combat move, but only if they are going into combat.

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    • RE: USSR Victory Objectives "scoring" protocol

@chris_henry I’m inclined to agree with u when it comes to how the rule can easily be taken advantage of, but as is i think the intention of the buffer zone VP was to not have those tts be possible for worldwide communism VP’s and the fault lies, as u described, in the lack of the word potentially. But given the ambiguity, I once again figured I would check with y’all on the off chance I was missing something. Thanks anyway tho.

    • USSR Victory Objectives "scoring" protocol

Worldwide Communism states 1 vic objective 4 each tt worth at least 1 ipp that it did not possess at the start of the game and are not scored as part of another soviet victory objective.

I am curious about say whether USSR has some but not all of the zones for “buffer zone”, would that mean that since they do not have them all then they would not be “scored” for the soviets. It sounds like they don’t want doubling up on any tts for victory points, which is fine. I am simply curious if they mean that worldwide communism victory points can never be gotten from the tts listed in buffer zone, or that if say the soviets possess all the tts for buffer zone then obviously they would be unable to claim them as VP’s for worldwide communism. In which case it would seem smart to always leave one buffer zone tt out if possible so long as they had at least 2 of the 3 buffer zone tts worth 1 ipp(east poland, karjala, and lithuania).

I’m inclined to think that any player should go with whatever path allows them the most VPs but the wording of “scored” threw me off and once again i wanted to be sure. Any help or input would he appreciated, thanks.
