Seems to me when we help nations, they dislike us more than before. Yes Yanny the rich give moiney to the poor. Not not every problem can be solved by throwing money at it.

German Relations
Seems like the place to talk about what was said by the German Justice Minister. Questions or comments?

RE: What the USA Can Do to Save the World . . .
Why is it the job of America to save the world? I can understand giving a helping hand to those that need it, but where does it end?

RE: We should not attack Iraq
Yanny:
You don’t care about these people, your a heartless American. No wonder half the world wants us dead.
Well i tell ya Yanny, thanks for clearing that one up for me. I had no idea why 50% of the world hated us. But now we can all blame him for it :)
Would it be stupid to ask for numbers to back up the whole “50% of the world hates us…” or could I just assume that someone was, shall we say, grasping at straws.
Yanny:
You warmongers are so quick to kill these people. You people only care about Americans.
We only care about Americans… yea that makes alot of sence. That whole Somolia (sp?) that was all about helping Americans. We didn’t go to that country to help people, cause we only care about us.
And when we dropped food in Afganistan. That was all about the Americans. Had nothing to do with feeding civilians, it was all about saving Americans.
Well congrats Yanny. Ya figured us evil warmongers out.
I am just glad Yanny has not started talking about “the Man” keeping him down.

RE: We should not attack Iraq
And as we all know, the U.N. will enforce the new resolution? How often do they enforce a resolution that is needed?

RE: Best Presidents since WWII
Why was Reagan so horrible? Or was that just an accusation to toss out there?

RE: The Drafting of Women
Yanny Said:
If Women aren’t going to be forced to die for our country, then I damn well shouldn’t be either.
Slighty flawed logic. I mean there are people who don’t have to work, why should I? There are people who don’t vote, why should I? There are people who cannot wipe their own bum, why should I.
Yall get my point

RE: The Drafting of Women
Ya know, the idea of women out there on the line might not appeal to me but I know some chicks who could hold their own. They can stop a bullet as well as I can. But to each his own.

Moses Said:
I dunno, how much do you believe in evolution? The extinction of species is inevitable
But moses, a dog is a cat is a tree is a human. We cannot let allow animals to die, after all animals are people too.
That was my liberal, animal rights person impression. :)

RE: We should not attack Iraq
After i read what horntet said, good to see ya back by the way, I can help but wonder if you ever described how your civil rights were being violated Yanny.

Clinton, obvious reasons.
Do enlighten us as to these ‘obvious’ reasons why he was one of the best presidents in your opinion.

RE: Will the U.S. and China eventually come into conflict?
Yanny Said:
Imagine a small regular army of Green Berets.
The following is IMHO
While it is a cool idea to dream about it is not practable. They contradict each other. Green Berets are not meant to be used in huge formations in a battle. They are designed to work in small groups. The same for SEALS, Delta Force, Rangers, Airforce Special Ops, Marine Force Recon ect…
They have been used in large groups and the operations were not spectacular success’

RE: History following a common theme?
Looks like TG Moses VI answered your question Yanny my man.

RE: Will the U.S. and China eventually come into conflict?
The biggest lesson learned from Nam was, IMHO of course, keep Politicians away from the war and let the soldiers fight it.

RE: History following a common theme?
I do enjoy being in the company of those who are not fond of the former president.

RE: History following a common theme?
The attack on the cole was the result of a bunch of factors. Mainly Public Relations. The navy was down sized including some of the oilers, the ships that fuel ships that still run on fossle fuels for those who did not know. With fewer oilers that meant that more ships had to report to ports for fuel, Like the Cole. The Cole could not have shot that dingey if it wanted too, the guns that were manned were not loaded.

Just what I was thinking Moses.
Oh, and it was suppose to be “Dont know much” i never read before i post :)

Yanny Said:
One knocks out Pacific carriers by taking advantage of their low alert status and firing a torpedo at it’s rudder.
So you think China will start a war with America by hitting it with a torpedo? Dont much much about politics, but I like to think that most of the world might be against them should they fire on a U.S. ship without being provoked.

RE: History following a common theme?
well Crypt you are right. The best fiction has some truth in it. But in all actuality i was yelling at Yanny and not you crypt :)
Yanny Said
the first thing they would do is find a way to knock out our few Pacific carriers
Hate to ask but, how does one go about knocking out a few U.S. carriers. Secondly, it would seem that “knocking” out a few U.S. carriers would provide a short term tactical advantage, but what is to stop more carriers from arriving and Subs firing missles (non nuke of course).

STOP USING TOM CLANCEY FICTION BOOKS AS A REFERENCE!
The man is smart, no argument there. It doesn’t every thing he writes will come true. If everything he writes does come true, i am going to ask him to add a character named “Jazz” who becomes a weathly in his next book.
