Just because one is drafted doesn’t mean you are sent to the line as a rifleman. You have 1000’s of rear echilon positions that could be occipied by women leaving more men availible for field duty.

That is kind of splitting hairs isnt it GeZe? They set out to kill people, that is why they got up that morning.

RE: Should Japan re-arm?
We still have troops stationed in S. Korea left over from the Korean War…
If memory serves they are there because it was just a cease fire, and not a peace treaty that was signed.

RE: Cloning….
This kinda reminds me of the scene in Jurassic Park, where Malcome says “You you so concerned with whether or not you could, you never stopped to think if you should.”

RE: Should Japan re-arm?
I think that Japan shoudl rearm if they feel that it is needed.

RE: Chechnya
Yanny in his infinite wisdom said:
There is no denying it, the only reason terrorists from the Middle East (mostly Saudi Arabia, our ally), target us is because we are on Israel’s side.
I only wish I had such ability to read the mind of arabs.

RE: We should not attack Iraq
Didn’t declare war in Korea or Nam, those must not have been wars either.

RE: We should not attack Iraq
Kinda funny. I can remember the day when people said that the U.S. congress would never allow Bush to attack Iraq. Now they will.
How long before those people are wrong about Europe?

RE: Bush Covering for an Invasion of Iraq?
Yes, because the CIA has had such a spotless track record…… LOL!

RE: We should not attack Iraq
Yanny Said:
So have we. We are the #1 producer of Biological, Chemical, and Nuclear Weapons. We not only used Chemical weapons on the Germans in WWI, but we also used Biological Warfare against the Indians in the late 1800s. And hell, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We are the only country to use all three.
France and Britain and Germany also used chemical weapons. Crying out loud the French developed chlorine gas and the Germans developed mustard gas.
Yea, the blankets with smallpox. We all took history and know this. It is a good thing that the Spanish were so nice to the Indians when they were on North America because as we all know the white man is the only one to make Indians suffer.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki, yea we dropped A-bombs on them.
It seems that a key element is being skipped over though. All of the acts above, well the people that carried them out are no longer in charge. Many of them very dead. Sadaam however is guilty of some of the above, and still in charge.

I don’t think that anyone here could assume they are not biased towards Israel.
Hey, I admitt they are supporters of Israel but they are open about it. Not like CNN and the biased “stuff” they say.

RE: What the USA Can Do to Save the World . . .
Why is support an issue. Whoopty do, we had support in the Gulf War. How many of the supporting countries did something worth while? How many provided units, I dont mean a Jet ski and a shotgun, I mean units that were combat ready and trusted. Heck, for that matter how many sent troops to Afgan, where we had so much support according to Yanny?

RE: Building on the WTC site
Just because you proclaim it to be free does not make it so. Everything that is ‘free’ was paid for by someone. Instead of raising taxes to increase the salary of a firefighter, you are raising taxes to pay for the firefighters living space. Why not skip the middle man and give the money to the firefighters and let them decide how to use it.

RE: Building on the WTC site
Way to be Moses. I appreciate Fire Fighters as much as the next, my brother is a fire fighter. I understand that it would be nice to have free housing for fire fighters, but that sounds awfully like welfare to me.
