    • RE: Deciding who's who

If it’s a 1 vs 1, we can usually just decide between the two of us. For a 5 player game, I’ll mix up the cards with the country unit setup on it, turn them face down, and everyone picks one.

I’m pretty sure that you’re suppose to use defending units that were killed in the attack’s roll behind it so that you’ll both recognize that they’re dead, but you’ll remember to fire back with them.

    • RE: How to counter strategic bomb?

To add to that, even while repairing you factory to working order, you should be ahead of Britain economically if he’s buying TWO bombers… you should be able to take Britain easily. And if you just build out of the Southern Europe factory, you’re economy will be FAR advanced. Britain will either have to abandon the bombing strategy or be conquered.

    • RE: USSR

Russia does NOT have the IPCs to spare to throw down an IC IMHO. And even if they did, where would you put it? Most of their countries only collect 1 or 2 IPCs….

    • RE: Britain Strategies

If Britain is being attacked that heavily, then Germany isn’t putting the pressure on Russia that they should, and Russia will start eating their Eastern countries alive. I don’t see KBF as an effective strategy for the Axis, and I rarely see it.

    • RE: Best route through asia

Good point. Allow me to elaborate on this.

I’ll usually take over China on J1 to make sure that America doesn’t build an IC on Sinkiang, but I don’t use that as my route through Asia. I just hold China, and use the Russian or Indian route to move through Asia.

    • RE: Alternate Country Combos

It annoys me when people mess around with the way the game is suppose to be played. So, it’s my thought that you shouldn’t be trying to get him to play with alternate country combinations.

But seriously though. He’s your brother. We really don’t know how you’re going to convince him to do what you want to do.

    • RE: What's your favorite country and why?

Japan. You have tons of options to attack the Allies. And late in the game, after you’ve taken British and Russian holdings, you’re an economic powerhouse and can wipe the floor with the Allies.

    • RE: Best route through asia

This is a decent question. I voted “other”. Now let me give you my thoughts on the matter.

I don’t think that China is the best way through Asia unless the Allies have left it undefended. The north-eastern Russian border is a much easier way through, and allows Japan to take some easy IPCs away from Russia. Likewise, India gives you the option of attacking the Caucuses, or moving into Africa. The China route doesn’t allow this versatility.

That may seem like an overly simple analysis, so if you’d like me to elaborate on my reasoning, let me know.
