Round 1 = inf Round 2 = Inf round 3 = Inf round 4 = inf –— and so on and so on… imo russia is easy as hell to play… keep buying inf and wait for the USA… which adventually takes Japan out and then you can start to spread out again with the 50+ inf in moscow… works everytime for allies when we play. Russia never falls. Boring to play… but you never lose.

first of all, i find myself reading here alot on strategies etc… thank you all… .so far, I have played three games as Japan… and man… can’t seem to win…
My question -
two subs in a sea zone… player attacks me with a destroyer and two planes… first round - I hit destroyer (because planes can’t be hit by subs)… all of his units miss… the planes have to leave right - - - can’t keep attacking because no destroyer to find and locate?
One more question comes to mind from above… if a major sea battle is going on… sub hits can only be taken on fleet not airforce… right? this is probably in detail in the rules and I missed them maybe??

Example - G1 subs in 108 and 103 attach british fleet in 110 - no destroyer present can the british airforce scramble to defend - Alpha 2 rules….
Also, if subs attack an aircraft carrier that has planes on it, can the planes attack without a destroyer present…

Sealion - OK, i am understaning the premise of the G1 Buy and launch G2-G3 - however, what do you do with the subs before you launch - - Alpha 2 rules - take out UK navel units with air support? Thoughts please, and thank you…

Bought the 1940 east and pacific - played it once and new to the boards here…. question… how do I find Alpha 2 rules… .would be very interested in reading… seems that the USA with 82 production is impossible to overcome, but haven’t read all the strategy forums yet.
Second question - the income board goes up to 72 I believe… does this mean the United States (or anyone for that matter) is capped at 72 even though production may be 82 (US in the war) so they have 10 in the bank so to speak. Example - US is at war and production is 82 but they only realize 72 so they can lose 10 production from lost territories but still have 72 to spend… kind of long sorry.
