      If the US liberates Paris,
      then France collects income…
      and then Germany may conquer again Paris and get the french money.
      :-D

      @Proud:

      It would be nice for high resolution setup cards and global map setup or just the map.

      That’s exactly my wish

      @Proud:

      OK. maybe this will help.

      Quote from Setup Posted by IL

      Alexandria:2 Infantry, 1 Artillery, 1 Tank, 1 Fighter
      Anglo Egypt Sudan: 1 Infantry
      Egypt: 1 Infantry, 1 Artillery, 1 Naval Base

      You’re right,
      but I was saying that in Djensen’s pic I can see 2 inf in Anglo Egypt Sudan,
      while the setup chart indicates just 1 inf in that territory.

      Alexandria
      Egypt
      Anglo Egypt Sudan

      Is that the answer to my question?
      Sorry, but I can’t understand what you mean…

    • RE: Italy's first move…

      I think that Italy’s first move strictly depends on what happened on UK1.
      If German pressure on London is not too high,
      UK could easily sink the Italian fleet in SZ 95 and retain some valuable pieces there…

      @Imperious:

      United States 35 IPC:
      Central USA: 1 Infantry, 1 Mechanized Infantry, 3 Bombers, 1 Major IC
      Eastern USA:1 Infantry, 1 Artillery, 1 Tank, 1 Fighter, 1 Major IC
      Sea Zone 108:1 Destroyer, 1 Transport

      I guess there are 1 air base and 1 naval base in the Eastern USA…

    • RE: J1 attack Hawaii?

      You can ignore the US transport
      and use 2 BB and 1 CRU to do the shore bombing.
      On average rolls, Japan gets Hawaii with 1 surviving unit (tank).

      @Krieghund:

      @Jake:

      do the same rules apply also to Japan and FIC?
      I mean:
      may Japan land airplanes on FIC
      on the same turn it get control of them with land troops?

      No.  In Japan’s case, it is invading an Allied territory, so the territory was not controlled by a friendly power at the beginning of its turn.

      FIC, like Syria, Morocco, Algeria and many more
      were part of the Vichy France
      (and fought against Allies)
      and Vichy France was allied with Axis.
      Anyway, if your answer is the rule for the game,
      thanks for clarification.

    • RE: Rules Q&A

      @Krieghund:

      @Shakespeare:

      If after war has started and no one has claimed Borneo Sumatra, may the Brits land airplanes there?

      Yes, but it will not give them control of it.  Taking control requires land units.

      So, after war has started,
      the Brits can land airplanes on Dutch territories
      if they are Dutch controlled.
      Following that,
      I suppose the Brits can land airplanes on Dutch territories
      on the same turn they get control of them with land troops, right?

      My question is:
      do the same rules apply also to Japan and FIC?
      I mean:
      may Japan land airplanes on FIC
      on the same turn it get control of them with land troops?

      @Krieghund:

      Questions like these can be answered by applying a simple principle.  If the situation isn’t specifically dealt with in the rules, treat the Dutch and French territories in exactly the same way as Allied territories whose capital is held by the enemy.

      According to what’s written here,
      I suppose the answer to my question is yes… isn’t it?

    • RE: Why wait as Japan?

      @Tavenier:

      My careful conclusion is that Japan has the best chance of winning if it attacks in the very first turn, while the allied forces are scattered across the ocean. The US gets a +40 boost, but loses Manila + bonus (7) and probably Hawaii (1). And it means Japan gains 8 with Honolulu bonus. So really the US only gains 24. And Japan gets to invade the Indies and Hongkong, which means less IPC for Britain.

      Any thoughts/comments?

      I agree with the idea of attacking Allies in J1,
      but I think that you need all transports to take Honolulu on the the first turn;
      Manila can be taken on the second
      and some of the Dutch East Indies on the third…

    • RE: The new facilities

      ANZAC setup: 1 Major Industrial Complex in New South Wales;
      New South Wales territory is worth 2.
      Major Industrial Complexes con only be built in territory 3 or more worth.

      Is that an exception to the general rule
      beacuse the Factory is not built by the player,
      but previously listed in the setup?

    • RE: Actual AA pacific 1940 map pictures

      @Emperor_Taiki:

      Starting IPC count

      Austrailia: 9
      Canada: 2
      China: 10 (+6 burma road)
      French: 2
      Japan: 26
      Netherlands: 11
      Soviet Union: 9
      United Kingdom: 18
      United States: 17/57

      Why only 10 for China?
      I can see 12 Chinese territories, 1 IPC worth each…
