    • RE: Sub Sneak Attack

I just realized this was a 1941 question. I am not familiar with those rules, so subs could work a little different in that game.

Also, if subs are attacking enemy surface ships and one is a destroyer, their sneak attack ability is cancelled.

@RYNO87 I am not positive, but I don’t believe subs can do sneak attacks on each other.

    • RE: British Economy/Middle East Questions

@Saber25 It doesn’t matter what side of the board the units start on. Obviously, they will get mixed up as the game goes on, and it could be hard to remember them all. When playing global, all territories on the Europe map, except Western India, or whatever it is called, go towards Britain’s Europe economy. This includes territories captured or neutrals taken over. It is the same way on the Pacific map except Western Canadas ipcs go to the Europe economy. Western Indias ipcs go toward Pacific economy.

    • RE: Attack on the neutrals by allies

The one time I tried it, it just resulted in a stalemate at Spain. All we did was trade unit for unit essentially. I had more income, but had to ferry all my troops over, so couldnt make a breakthrough. I couldn’t make any headway in France, and he couldn’t take Spain over. Eventually we had to end the game because it was taking to long. Of note though, I didn’t know you could build factories in nuetral countries.

Currently I am reading a book called Seizing the Enigma: The Race to Break the German U-boat Codes. So far it has been pretty interesting.

@Magro Just a note. I don’t think UK can build factories in Persia or Iraq, due to them being neutral.

    • Does the U.S. get 30 ipc bonus in global?

I have a rules question. In the Pacific version the rules say that if Japan makes an unprovoked declaration of war, the U.S. gets a one time bonus payment of 30 ipcs. However, nothing is mentioned about it in the global rules. Do they still get it then or not? I thought they wouldn’t, but I don’t know for sure.
Also, what exactly is considered an unprovoked declaration of war?

    • RE: Second stand in france

I have always tried to take Normandy on Germany’s first turn. All you really have commit to the attack is one or two offensive units and a few infantry to take hits. It has worked for me so far.

Very interesting. Good work! Any idea what you could use for units if you don’t have A&A WW1?

    • RE: Help me understand Unit Reference

@Anuja Welcome to the game and the forum. I have never played A&A zombies, but it should be the same as the other games as far as attacking and defense. No one pays to attack or defend. The chart you have in the picture is the unit reference chart. The cost you see is how many ipcs that unit is to purchase. Your purchasing is done during the first phase of your turn. The move section shows how many territories or sea zones each unit is allowed to move. The attack section shows what the units attack roll value is. For example, a tank is shown as three. That means if you roll a three, two, or one you get a hit. Infantry have an attack roll value of one, unless they are supported by artillery, in which case their roll value is two, meaning they get a hit on a one or two rolled. It works the same way on defense, except that some units roll differently on defense than on attacking. I hope that helps. Let me know if I need to clarify anything.

    • RE: Is Artillery Useful?

I have wondered the same thing, and until recently, in the games my brother and I have played artillery was never really purchased. However, I am beginning to think it’s more valuable than what I thought. For example, say you purchase eight infantry. They will cost 24 ipcs. If you are attacking with them, you only have a roll value of one and it’s not likely you will get many hits, if any. But say you buy four infantry and four artillery. That will cost 28 ipcs. But now, all eight units will have an attack roll value of two, for only four more ipcs. To me that seems to be worth it. But obviously, artillery are only good for supporting infantry while attacking. Infantry are a better value for defense since they cost less but roll the same as artillery would.
