You can only register once with any particular email address … trying multiple times will not help!

We’ve never had issues with forum registration confirmations using this software before (it’s on the same host and running the same software as iwillnevergrowup.com) so it perplexes me why there would be an issue.  Heck, I even ran two test users last night to make sure it was working and everything went through without a hitch.

As for having 2 seperate “registrations” … one is just paying for your spot at the con.  Obviously no user information is provided when all you are doing is going to paypal and paying!  There’s currently no method (without extra expense, which the con cannot afford at this time) to have both done at the same time within our current set of limitations.

Correct.  Paying your event registration does not register you as a user on the site, it just sends the FMGCon committee a payment and an email with what you paid for (and your name for the badges)

Go to the Discussion Forums, click on the link in the “these forums require registration” statement and enter a user name and email address.  The forum will send you a password to verify.  Then you should be in.

Looking good.  A lot like the Vietname game I made a couple years ago (and have yet to playtest unfortunately), but different enough that they would have separate feels to them.  Hmm.

I had never seen the images from last year’s event .  That is a nice gathering of players and games (though I could do without the group shot- what a motley crew!!!).

Plus, the smattering of Yope dice towers never hurts any picture. :lol: :wink: :mrgreen:

Maybe the pic with all the empty tables and chairs should be removed, can’t say it was late with the sun shining through the window.

To be clear, the registration for the DISCUSSION FORUMS is Fixed!  You can not yet register for the event itself … but soon!  (hopefully VERY soon).

For anyone interested in setting up a specific game and filling it with like-minded people who want to play at a specific time we have a discussion forum set up just for you on the FMGCon.com website!

Just go there and make a thread with the game you want to set up to play, when you want to play it, approximately how long it will take to play and how many people you can/will take to sign up for it then wait for people to sign up!

The bank and paypal accounts are being set up so that the Registration page can be opened up.  With FMGCon being a separate entity from here on out, using the existing Fieldmarshal Games account just doesnt work.

You know, you complain about the stain not matching with the boxes that you had purchased but, dangit, I think it looks BETTER with the lighter colored boxes inside the compartment areas!  It adds contrast and looks fantastic.

Very nice job!  And a very simple way to do it as well.

PS : for anyones future reference, building lumber is always 1/2" smaller on both dimensions than it is labelled (ie: 2x4 are actually 1.5x3.5 inch, etc).  Long ago they used to be exactly as labeled but with milling and changes in production (and the quality/quantity of wood used) that has changed over the years to what we have now.  For building purposes, not a big deal, but if you’re doing furniture, you always want to check first.  In these cases, sometimes it pays to buy better-than-construction-grade woods (usually found in the trim aisles) if you need an exact size.

Indeed!  revisions are underway to make it compatible with other versions of A&A as we speak.

MINOR BUMP IN THE ROAD!

It seems that the 420 wing DOUBLE BOOKED that weekend and we were the 2nd booking.  As a result we have to take the previous weekend of September 14th-15th.

Hopefully this doesnt cause any issues with anyone.  Unfortunately there’s nothing we can do about this.  The people who booked before us obviously get their booking ahead of us.

The hall dropped the ball, there’s nothing the FMGC staff could have done differently.

Yup.  We even have a reciept here that says Sept 21st and 22nd.  Of course, being the 2nd party to book that weekend means we had to give it to the first group.

At least this wasn’t WIDELY advertised (and no posters up) yet.  Which is why I said it’s just a minor bump, nothing too major.

I personally would have preferred the 21/22 weekend (gives students at the nearby college time to get settled in before spending the weekend partying with us!) but it is what it is and we go forward!

Not a big fan of acrylics.  As stated, it’s REALLY loud and dice tend to bounce a lot.

The problem with flying to (anywhere in) Canada is that there are insane Airport charges and taxes added on.  One of the many reasons a lot of Canadians fly out of Buffalo!
