Did the forum not post the turn or have you not posted it yet.  Just checking since sometimes the system is strange.

I am posting now.

You know, even with your massive sub convoys, and not having ANY of the goodie islands, I am still cranking pretty good money.  Asia looks mighty yellow.  But that all ends now I think when the UK… expands.  I did a strategic retreat in anticipation of the UK-Chinese expansion.

I decided not to annex Tijuana…. right after I completed my entire turn and forgot to attack it.  (doh)

Just the same, I only get two IPCs from Mexico and to replace the Artilery, would cost four.  Doing what I did forces you to “hang” either the dd or the sub attacking my transport which is just fine.

if the Americans attack the German carrier, do NOT score a hit on the capital ship until you get your sixth hit.  Casulties are as follows….

Sub, sub dd, dd, tactical bomber in scramble, 2-hits on carrier, then the 4 fighters.

welp, I am going to attack Western/Northern Mexico with my Alaskan division.  (heh)  If the system lets me pass by your “sub” that is.

Italy is good but they will be spending most of the income defending Europe.  It is hard for them to help out much in the war against Russia.  Time is not in the Axis’ favor since the Allied Economy is so large.

Curious about a few things:

• When the US subs went to the USA, did I scramble my lonely fighter?  That is why I built the DD so I could get the option

• Was I not able to use my suicide tokens on the ANZAC and USA transport at the Philippines and Manchuria?  I am still not locked down on those rules but my whole game at the Caroline’s was about destroying those boats.

• I still have a big pile of Japanese money for ships.  I want to build them in the Japan sea zone.  Is that an instant fight with the US ships if I drop them there?

• lastly subs don’t block.  Can a transport simply pass right by a sub when traveling through sea zones if it is only a sub there?

Unfortunate rolling for Japan in that Naval battle.  Regardless, Japan was losing it’s entire Navy due to the American counterattack.  The combined economy of China + ANZAC + India was going to be enough to contain Japan without needing additional US spending.Â

In Europe, things are looking bleak for the Axis.  I don’t see a chance for Italy or Germany to capture either Moscow or Egypt any time soon.  The invasion of Norway is a major impact on the German economy.

I didn’t even care about the US counter attack.  I had to kill the transports.  If I had destroyed them, there would have been NO ECOMONIC MOVEMENT in the Pacific for at least two full turns.  I crank 58 and then 60 IPCs or so.  The allies would not have had even one transport in the entire Pacific Ocean.

Do me a favor.  Advance my AAA from Yakut SSR to Yenissey.  Thanks.

I mean I don’t regret the battle.  I simply had to do it (I had an edge) so you kind of have to take advantage of those.  But what can you do?

The Japanese are in big trouble.  They rolled pretty good (well above par in the battle) but the Americans… never missed.  You kicked my @ss.

Game is not over yet (completely) but it pretty much is.  I have to hope against hope that you roll… lousy at Japan.  I was really counting (my whole game really) on sinking those transports.

What’s unusual about tipping BB first?  They still shoot as a 4.  The first five hits will be on capitol ships since they can still roll on defense.

So you my very first hit is the HMS Prince of Wales.  Then the USS California.  Then (one hit) each on USS Enterprise, USS Hornet, and then USS Yorktown?  So the first five hits, capital ships?

Okay?  My first 6 hits are Akagi, Hiryu, and Kaga.  Then the Yamato and Musashi will each take a shell, then my subs…

Obviously…… I am going to hit the Americans, ANZAC, and the HMS Prince of Whales with everything I’ve got…

I just calculated the odds.  Because I have the 3 tactical bombers and because you didn’t fly the ANZAC fighters to the Caroline Islands for scramble (and your six US subs are in Hawaii) I am a 54% favorite.  You are a 45% favorite.  It’s that close.  I’m taking my shot (try to sink everything and strand all the Anzac and US troops on the island.)  I can’t let those transports get anywhere near Asia.  So be thinking about how you want to take casualties.  Because I will be hitting you.
