I totally screwed up the US turn.  I built 3 tanks to place them in Southern France to defend it (and any planes that survived the Med battle) from Italy.  Of course the instant I liberated France, I cant build in Southern France.  Duh!  Scratch 3 US fighters.  Probably shouldn’t have them anyway, I totally wasted the Italian Navy, you got one hit.

So now I have to go a whole hog bet that Germany can’t reconquer France on Germany-6.  I was going to be greedy and blitz the British tank through Normandy into Holland but I think I need to leave it in France to defend it from the Germans.  So I’ll have 9 inf, 1 tank, and 4 fighters defending France from your entire Luftwaffe.  The way I see it, if (IF) you can defeat all 40 Soviet pieces just West of Russia AND reconquer France (and grab all the free money) all in the same turn (got to do both), I will concede.  But I believe that I have learned quite a bit from my first game of A&A 1940 Global from my second game.  I think my Mediterranean play vastly improved.

Java is a graveyard for the Allied fleet since the entire Japanese air force and navy can attack.  You usually need six loaded aircraft carriers but a support fleet to move in there.Â

It is especially bad when you only get 7 hits with 6 fighters, 1 BB, 3 CVs, 2 cruisers and 2 DDs.  It appears I need to wait longer to take on the entire Japanese navy.

I don’t know if I got TOO aggressive too quickly, but I have to help the Soviets out by opening a new front in the Europe (before its too late.)  Of course there will be some massive naval battles next turn, but I have carriers grouped better so I am better off now than I was last game.
