My idea is that the attacker gets to roll 1(or 2) dice and what ever the number is is how many disabled defending infantry which means that they can’t fire back.

I got a bunch of these and the quality is good, you just got to bend back the 88’ barrels. plus each package gives you pages of new piece ideas. The one with the 88’s also has some rare coastal defense units. check them out.

If Germany didn’t lost ww1 we wouldnt have had:

      ww2.
The consequences of the end of the Ottoman Empire (a lot of middle east shits thats happening today, like Israel).
Maybe NO SOVIET UNION and NO COMMUNISM.
USA staying isolationist and not trying to gain influence here and there, nor participating in any war.
FRANCE out of the annoyance of Europe.

      What would happened next? Dunno!

But at least in ww1 although even Italy fought against the Austro/Hungaric Empire and the Prussians (My grandad was 18 in 1917 and fought ww1 AND ww2), I still think the “bad guys” where absolutely France+Uk+Italy+USA+THE REST OF THE WORLD.

      Imperious LeaderI

Axis and Allies D12 system rules:
The purpose of this is to integrate the new pieces from HBG as well as new sculpts from AA41 and AA42.2.  The goal is to fit all the pieces creating unique values into Axis and Allies games.
I had considered using different unit values by nation, but this proved too difficult. The utility of using D12 allows many new units each having unique characteristics.

Note most OOB units are double attack and defensive values: (Attack-Defense-Movement-Cost)

      Infantry: 2-4-1-3
      Artillery: 4-4-1-4
      Mechanized Infantry:
      Armor: 6-6-2-6
(Note: these are considered mid-war tank design and can’t be built till turn 3)
      Fighter: 6-8-4-10
      Tactical Bomber: 6-6-4-11
      Strategic Bomber: 8-2-6-12
      Battleship: 8-8-2-20
      Cruiser: 6-6-2-12
      Destroyer: 4-4-2-8
      Submarine: 4-2-2-6
      Carrier: 0-2-2-16
      Transport: 0-0-2-7

      New WOTC sculpts:
Note: These cannot be built as early as turn 3

      LAND:
Heavy Artillery: These are a 6-4-1-5 unit and have a special feature. If they roll a one result in combat, the defender must select an air or non-infantry land unit as a combat loss.
Late War Tanks: These are 8-8-2-8 units and can blitz like other tanks. In all other respects these perform as tanks. These tanks can be built as early as turn 6.

      SEA:
Battle-cruisers:  These are 7-6-2-16 units and like Battleships they take two hits. They also bombard at 3.
Super Carriers:  These are 2-4-2-18 units that carry 3 planes. They also take two hits, but the first hit does not affect their ability to launch or land fighters.
Destroyer Escorts: These are specialized units to protect convoys. They have a movement of 3 spaces or four if leaving a naval base. These are 4-2-3-10 units and have the same abilities as a destroyer, except as long as you have at least one Destroyer escort, all transports in the same sea zone as the destroyer escort defend at 1.
Heavy Transport: These perform just like Transports, except they carry three Infantry or two armor type units. These are 0-0-2-12 units.
Advanced Submarine Design:  These are 4-2-2-8 units and have special abilities. They can avoid combat with destroyers or destroyer escorts at a 1:1 basis. If you got for example 2 of these subs and you enter a sea zone with 1 destroyer escort or destroyer, they can avoid combat and  pass thru into the next sea zone. If for example you have 2 of these units and get attacked by at least 3 destroyers, combat is performed in the normal fashion. If at any time the destroyer count is equal to the submarine count, the advanced submarines can submerge immediately.

      AIR:
Medium Bomber: These are 6-2-6-9 units and have a number of new features. They can  perform SBR like any other Bomber, but are the only units that can  pick up Paratroopers
Advanced Fighter design:  These are 8-8-4-14 units. The key feature is their ability to be used somewhat differently in SBR. In these actions they get a +1 in combat as escorts or as interceptors.

      Imperious LeaderI

I don’t know why i didn’t bring this up before but most states ( in the US only) have passed propositions dealing with ability of citizens to address the valuation of their properties. This is especially acute since 2007 when the economy tanked. I have an undefeated record of something like 75-0 since 2008 for getting a lower property tax bill on my properties.

All you do is Google your state to see if they have this worksheet and fill it out online.

You need two comparables and you want to find candidates that were sold prior to Jan 1st 2012. I would use Redfin for this to find these. Just search the map in your area and look for properties that match your own.

Want you want to look for is properties that sold for a cost per sq. ft. that is as low as possible below what your property is currently being valued at. You need at least two of these. They should be of relative age as your own and be within the same area ( like within 10 miles).  These candidates should have been sold no latter than this January 2012 ( however, some states allow this to be pushed forward to say March).

They will contact you by mail and email.

Also, a warning… they will deny you the request to change the valuation and you will appeal. This is automatic because the Government does not want to lose money. But they will.

You can appeal either online or fax the request.

Eventually you will get a hearing and you make your case. Remember: most states ( i checked) require multiple copies of the compatibles and pictures. If you don’t remember i have seen them turn away those people and reschedule the hearing. Always be prepared.

I know this is not the usual thread for these boards, but i know you will save thousands due to this economy nobody should be paying the valuation from prior to 2008. The government does not do this for you, you must control your fate and do it yourself.

Next year begins the new property tax year. So for that period you want to look for property sales in this year.

IL’s financial advise in now closed.

      A

Easy and it is what I did immediately upon seeing the ABORTION of a map that A&A had at the time. Make the boundaries of these 4 places realistic……

Have the Caucasus be the actual mountainous area plus the southern plains to the immediate north only. Have Ukraine  directly border Caucasus, Moscow & Eastern Europe (& Balkans) Have Eastern Europe border Ukraine, Russia, Karelia (& Southern Europe & Germany) Have Karelia border Eastern Europe, Russia & Khanty-Mansi (as it should)
      ‘Easy - peasey’.
That original map was a giant turd! One of the worst, if not the worst, map produced for a very popular game. The game is great - that map crap.

      Imperious LeaderI

      Global 1942: Quick Start Guide

This module uses Alpha 2 and original out of the box rules unless specified here. This scenario begins in Dec 1941 with the Japanese attack at Hawaii. Germany is at the gates of Moscow and pushing her last strength to capture Moscow. Positions and units quantity, and type are based on actual positions for Dec 41.

Japanese Surprise Attack: On the first turn all Allied Naval and Air units on the Pacific maps defend at ONE against Japanese attacks. Land units fight normally.

Soviet-Japanese Non aggression Pact:  The Japanese may attack the Soviets only by announcing one turn before this intention. The Soviets can attack Japan only if all Soviet territories are under Soviet control. Note: if Japan attacks the Soviet Union any Mongolian forces bordering any Japanese forces are automatically at war with Japan
      (Exchange units with Russian Infantry).

The new turn order, starting IPC total and control changes:
      Soviet Union: 28
Control lost: Baltic States, Vyborg, Eastern Poland, Belarus, Smolensk, Western Ukraine, Bryansk, Bessarabia, Ukraine.
      Germany 41
      Control lost: Romania, Hungary
Control gained: Baltic States, Vyborg, Eastern Poland, Belarus, Smolensk, Western Ukraine, Bryansk, Bessarabia, Ukraine, Normandy, France, Yugoslavia, and Crete
      Italy: 12
      Control lost: Ethiopia, Italian Somaliland
Control gained: Greece, Tunisia, and Cyprus
      Japan: 28
      Control gained: French Indo China
      USA: 52
      UK: 30 Europe, 16 Pacific
      Control gained: Ethiopia, Italian Somaliland
      ANZAC: 10
      China: 12 Territories
      Vichy France: 7 (strict neutral)
Control gained: Southern France, Morocco, Algeria, Syria, and Madagaskar

Lend Lease: The US or UK player can send a total combined aid to the Soviet Union of 30 IPC. Procedure: Buy a transport(s) and place it off board in a Lend lease Box. These transports can’t be used for any other purpose other than Lend Lease. Each Transport sends a fixed 5 IPC (place IPC under transports). No more than 6 transports can be allocated for this purpose. Lend Lease aid is first available on turn 1. However, the Soviet player does not actually get the aid until turn 2. The IPC sent can only purchase non-infantry land units and air units of any type. Lend Lease cannot be used for Naval, Infantry, or factories, etc.

Interdiction: Any European Axis Submarine, Plane, or Surface ship located in open sea
(Not Baltic, Black, Mediterranean) can deduct 2 IPC each from this total. If they are located in any convoy box, they can cost 3 IPC each from this total.

Note: If Japan and the Soviet Union are at war, Japanese Submarines, Planes, and Surface ships located in Sea Zones in 3, 4, and 5 can cause reductions to Lend Lease payments.

Minor Axis Allies: Finland, Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary have unique forces (use German pieces) these automatically join the axis on turn 2. They can freely move on that turn and Germany can move into them or build units (Romania). Germany does not gain the income from these areas until they are activated on turn 2, or attacked earlier by the Soviet Union. The factory in Romania can start producing units on turn 2 as well.

This module does not use technology or National Objective rules. However, Paratroopers and Mechanized Infantry technology are standard rules. Paratroopers however are restricted to a one sea zone rule, which means they can’t cross any more than one sea zone before landing.

Changes in Strict Neutrality:  Attacking a strict neutral only activates other strict neutrals within 2 spaces of the invaded neutral. Vichy France is a special case. It is strict neutral; however, axis units may fly over or move thru these areas without triggering any change. Also, an attack from any player results in only war with the area under attacked; all other Vichy areas still remain neutral.

      Imperious LeaderI

Well i have not playested the E39 module enough, so continuing on Pacific would be next.

It is only a matter of 5-10 minutes to add oil centers, but i dont want to jump ahead of myself.

The main thing with e39 is creating an IPC fund for Germany and rules which govern it’s use. The amount is most important, but i have not played enough to get that right.

Sorry, I misjudged the sarcastic tone of the whole subject. No disrespect.
