For aircraft, Japanese army is green, white is navy. Paint both probably 1/3 and 2/3 ratios for all air units

RE: Advanced Technology Models Requirements By Countryposted in Global War 1936
@hbg-gw-enthusiast Here’s the expanded idea! Its a print on demand service that you can just get a set of counters based on either Global 40, or 36, or its a make your own where you decide the color or each nation, which combination of nations, and the unit values.
Additionally, you can select Civil War, WW1, WW2, Modern, or Napoleonic…all with (Attack, Defend, Move, and dice bonus for elite soldiers or Better trained men or not. This will solve alot of issues and give new people who simply cant keep up with 6 types of infantry and constantly looking at charts to remember what the values of a particular unit. Secondly, it makes for easy travel and packing, third, if your designing a game you can submit one with a counter set, and if it has merit latter you can insert miniatures. -

RE: [House Rules] The Cruiserposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Well it adds more richness to the game that instead of Heavy/Light idea ( realize the Heavy is most likely the predominant representation of the “Cruiser”)
WE look at the other classes of ships that could be modeled:
Battlecruiser’
Pocket battleship
Fast battleship“Battle Cruiser A2 D2 C12 M3 SHS 2. A hit can go towards a plane or ship.”
it cant be that weak, its not a destroyer.
it has to be either a one hit 4-4, or a two hit 3-3
M3 and the hit allocation is possible. I feel it should be different by nation because they used them for different needs
Japan needed fast battleships
USA needed AA gun platforms
Cant identify the others without more research -
RE: Proposed Naval Unit Color Scheme for GW 36 v3posted in Global War 1936
@insanehoshi I propose counters because G36 has WAY TOO MANY UNIT TYPES. People spend all their time looking at charts to look up info. COUNTERS solve this easily with large 1 inch or .75 inch square counters. Of course nobody has made any to this point.

RE: Axis and Allies Classic 10 part series on YouTubeposted in Axis & Allies Classic
Germany needs a bid of at least 2-3 infantry with RR and 2 hit BB with no naval occupation rule.
Russia builds 8 men
Russia attacks the Baltic probably gets one hit, then SS submerges
In Kariella, you need 2 fighters, 2 either tanks or (defend at 2 units), plus 16 Infantry= 20 units
You can try for playing on the margins with 18-19 units, with 2 tanks in novo with 2 infantry ( idea is the tanks reach most spots) and 7 Inf in Yakut.Germany builds only men, or 3 tanks-rest men

What the hell did they do to ruin this game?posted in Axis & Allies 1942 Online
The so called update made what was a 5 minute operation to complete my turn into a 30 minute fiasco. Why? because the two aspects of changes to make the arrow lines more narrow fell on deaf ears. In fact the arrows are much wider and you basically need to perform two additional tasks to “see” what the enemy has. It was much simpler before. The second was the clicking on your own units especially transports and loading them. For whatever reason this was an issue and it only got worse and some stupid glitching is preventing clicking a unit to load and moving it 2 spaces. The issue again is the thickness of the arrows preventing a recognizable space to move too due to many lines.
The dice roller is another pile of crap. It is not random and is privy to “tit for tat” . This is if the attacker hits in small battles with ridiculous force, somehow by osmosis the defender hits on nearly every roll, reducing the attackers advantage to an even pitched battle. So the attacker takes the same loses regardless of how many units he has. No matter what “the makers” say about this they are wrong. I got like 400 hours into this game and my impressions are more justified than anybody who works for the company that makes the game.
The fixing of the Americas was a welcome change, but the battle dialog staggers and looks choppy. The request to retreat is sometimes missed for those who want a fast battle , which ruins games potentially. The music is still boring and i wish each nation had its own theme playing during your turn. I see some other graphic changes made and they improve the look of the map.
WE should have the choice of dice rollers in the game and you should be able to edit the units for our own purposes. lastly, all units should roll at once. Their are too many levels of combat and waste even more time. Players can easily see which units hit by clicking the dialog that displays this. -
RE: [House Rules] The Cruiserposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
I think each nation gets to pick one attribute and its attached to the unit for the rest of the game:
choices are:
move 3
AA gun ( hit a plane idea)
?So if you pick move 3, that’s the benefit you get for the game , every time you buy that unit it will move 3 ( or 4 from naval port)
This models the idea that each nation used the ship for entirely different purposes

RE: Why is Global better than Revised?posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
All AA games require a bid, while Revised requires other changes to be decent. It does not offer much in the way of doing many different things “options”, victory only has a few directions to be successful. Global will always be the most popular option because it finally addresses the Historical “wargame” hunger, while Revised is more like a “game” like “Advanced Risk”…generic and basic-
I hope they make another version of 1914 like E40 with more units

RE: 🎲😢 PRNG dice support group — and rantingposted in Axis & Allies 1942 Online
But i don’t want to be “kept in the game” with diminishing returns. I am already here to stay and win. The angst comes in when its not a logical result on average and contains a “personality” which should not be there!

RE: Statistical Model for Predicting the Winnerposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
How does the model handle force projection?
Example: USA has 50 tanks in Brazil and no transports
Germany has 50 tanks in Germany and no transportsWhich nation will kill more units and take more IPC and take more VC?
