@8d88 but also change up the far east group. it wasn’t only infantry, it was mechanized, 1 tank, 1 art and 2-3 infantry.
The Manchukuo force should have similar composition. and the Americans in China should have 1-2 more infantry, and 1 artillery at least. China had 500 divisions of admittedly poor quality, but that’s reduced to Japanese army road apples.

I have some upcoming news for my game. It will eventually be published after lengthy time off. I just selected the Pantone colors for the pieces, which were never finalized. We ordered a set of pieces (enough for our playtest games). Setup was recently done, some board changes are being worked on. I know i have been flogging this since 2012 ( and even since 2006).

@8d88 well the bomber can be placed in Finland so it will only be used in 7, that makes for no disaster for Germany in7 and not a ruined game. Its hard for Germany to fail in 7 and lose a plane or two and still allow a UK BB

Because a few people live there in today’s time frame, does not mean that entire armies can cross with tanks and artillery through hundreds of miles of sand dunes. You watch too much Rat Patrol! You and the one that thinks movement is unrealistic nonsense should go to the same BBQ. The block in that game is realistic enough. Look at the Qattara depression. Their is a reason why Rommel and the Allies totally avoided this place at El Alamein! its an impassible quagmire of desert!

new map cartography, oil centers, real neutral armies/navies ( not just infantry,) D12, NO National Objectives, Real Tech Chart, start 1939, not 1940, USSR then All axis and rest of allies move sequence, remove NCM, add Rail Movement, Atomic Weapons, etc

- Frogmen- once per game ( or 3 times per game) the Italian player may make one target attack against any ship rolling 8 or less to hit.
- Bersaglieri -up to X of these may be built, in combat they have automatic hits ( they were sharpshooter units)
- Rommel effect- When German and Italian units are in combat and the German player has armored units, they receive a combat bonus of re rolling X misses.

I have done the 1942.2 map and its great. They could have just used that. I didn’t get “paid” i did it to benefit others and their welcome to enjoy it. The AA online thing has an ok map, at least the colors are decent and the pieces are great! Its just the multiplayer interface and the AI.

Getting back to topic, what about forget light cruiser. Instead a 3-3 unit that takes 2 hits…the Battlecruiser. And Perhaps each nation can pick one attribute either a shore Bombard at 3, or always move 3 ( 4 with naval base… AKA “Fast Battleship”), or AA gun platform…AKA Alaska Class Battleship… getting any hit goes against planes.
The cost of such a unit would presumably be around 15-17 IPC
Since 6 sided dice only allow a small window of differentiation you need to give these extra units something outside the box, but within the system.
Battlecruisers can model old battleships, Proper Battlecruisers, Pocket Battleships, Heavy Cruisers, etc
The Cruiser can stick with Light and some Heavy Cruisers. I would substitute…or downgrade at least one BB for each: Japan, UK, Italy, USA ( only choosing in pairs- One allied one Axis in order to preserve pay balance

Germany needs a bid of at least 2-3 infantry with RR and 2 hit BB with no naval occupation rule.

Russia attacks the Baltic probably gets one hit, then SS submerges
In Kariella, you need 2 fighters, 2 either tanks or (defend at 2 units), plus 16 Infantry= 20 units
You can try for playing on the margins with 18-19 units, with 2 tanks in novo with 2 infantry ( idea is the tanks reach most spots) and 7 Inf in Yakut.Germany builds only men, or 3 tanks-rest men
