America is always wrong, everything we do provokes ill feelings? Stop the double standard against America or we will pull men out of Bosnia! (Well, if you don’y exclude American servicement from the International court!)

America is very good at this provoking IMHO. And please, feel free to pull back your troops, and pay your debts to the U.N., and stop blackmailing the U.N./ international community.

I hate having the worlds strongest power break into tears and cry for revenge at any opportunity……

Now America should pay back the billions, did I say we shouldn’t? But how about everyone acts like Finland and pays us back from WW2 all the way to Y2K? Its a two way street. Europeans proke bad feelings more so, but because America is the world’s leading power it is only natural they would be scrutinized more heavily. Does it make it right? No. And still, stop justifying your bigotry.

"I’m not so sure China would win a future war. They do have a larger army, but ours is more advanced. It would not be very hard for America to increase the size of our Army several fold, but it would take years for China to update it’s military.

Besides, we are better positioned. We are close allies with South Korea, Japan and Taiwan. We have 100,000 to 150,000 troops deployed in South East Asia, in addition to naval assests. We are also starting to deploy anti-missile systems. The Chinese equivalent wiould be being allied with Canada and Mexscio, deploying 100,000 troops in Mexico, and porting one of it’s fleets at Vancouver. "

China has nuclear weapons, and they could take ouit Taiwan to spite us, and I doubt America would want to fight a prolonged war. I do hope that future wars with superpowers are convential, because the fear of the destructiveness of nuclear weapons…but all we need is one suicidal nut to change that.

Still, many young vegetarians have to take a lot of supplements and pills (iron, calcium, and vitamins D and B12) to make up for the lack of beef. And this could end up costing you, if you’re not careful.

Unless you have a lot of money to blow, a vegetarian life style is probably overall less healthy than a meat eating one. So eat those tacos!

No. A vegetarian diet is much cheaper. Compare a tub of tofu to a side of beef. Which is cheaper? Trust me, vegetarian lifestyle = less money spent on food.

Well, would you eat 2 pounds of grain for dinner or a half pound of beef? What is more expensive? I have ate organic on and off in my life, and believe me that veggie stuff with no meat anything is more money…unless you want to live on almond butter and tofu and thats it!

“another law was passed that made it illegal for parliment officials to say anything bad about Israel.”

Ha, it’s starting to sound a lot like the Communist Red Scare.

exactly, war indeed brings out the worse in people.

But one thing-the law about discriminatory land policies. A strong majority of Muslim israelis are pro-palestinian. It is a possibility thbat part of the motivation for the law was to not give land near areas militants can be sneaked in. But i’m sure it is mostly because it is racist.

If the population continues growing, that will become an eventual reality. (32 pounds of grain are required for 1 pound of beef)

Yes, but how about all of those hilly areas where you cannot farm? Beef ahoy!

I’m starting a boycott of soda because they create co2 for our favorite tasty drinks…but CO2 isn’t exactly good for our O3 (ozone.)!

If the world population kept growing, we would have to stop eating meat, but in western nations birth rates are lowering, and so in countries where people aren’t starving currently, they won’t be starving in the future.

Plus, there is too many fat people!

"Hmmm… I wonder why the buffalo became endangered species in the first place? Could it be those evil NAs hunting down the buffalo to near extinction like crazy? Also from what I heard, the buffalo population (though nowhere the size of what it use to be) has grown quite a lot, especially with the domestication of the buffalo (just look at Ted Turner and his Buffalo farms). "

The “white man” and a couple of black guys too hunted the Buffalo to extinction. And they are not endangered. There is 250,000 of them. Three alone in Zoo America! They are the heaviest natural animal of north america.

They should just give the buffalo to the diehard NA’s (and there are quite a few of them; otherwise we wouldn’t probably be having this discussion) to hunt and some of the government owned land (which still owns about 25% of all American soil) for them to hunt on.

Come on, we sort of do this for the Eskimos in terms of whaling

They buy their food, alcohol, and tobacco in stores. They don’t want to hunt anymore!

But give them some better land to farm on!

America spends 150 billion dollars a year at least on Europe and Korea. (possible 180, i know korea is 30, but i forget if the 150 is a combined statistic.) America gives money to “aid” countries when no one gets it and god knows we never meant for it to really help the “people” anyhow. America dropped 22 billion dollars like a hat to mexico, and gave billions to China, the power that will take us out in less than 50 years, thanks to the soft money donations to the democratic party. Give me a goddamn break, and people complain about 3 billion dollars to israel! Stop throwing all of our money away like that! America can care less about Russia invading Europe, and we know it isn’t going to happen. So why spend all the money for it??? Korea might be important for a future base of attack on China, god forbid there is a future war. Israel, Egypt, and other countries affecting the Suez canal are also important.

I’m not sure what I am ranting about anymore…

    • RE: Communsim is not good

“Why is it under a capitalist system that public schools tend to “suck.” Yet in other quasi-socialist countries like China, public schools perform exceptional?”

Sweat-shop labor is socialism? God bless capitalism. China is totalitarianism.

You communist society would fail to fix the problems of capitalism because the problems of capitalism are all greed. You cannot make a society void of it! We can’t stop bad parenting today, so how do you want to change the minds of those in the future? You would need to control every aspect of a man’s life to make a perfect communist (read
Zamyatin’s We for example), but then again their society is undermined by R-503’s (is that that guy’s name?) Greed.

So you try to say “Greed has nothing to do with communism, why bring it up???” It has EVERYTHING to do with it. Capitalism isn’t working perfectly because of greed. Now with communism, the same greed exists, but it wouldn’t allow the economic mobility to be earned, theirfore what is the point of trying? Common good? Give me a break! Noi one cares about their fellow men. Someone wants capitalism because overall it would make the best effect on everyone thus their life. One wants communsim because they want their life to be affected in a positive way. When it comes down to it, the desire for a communistic change isn’t selflessnes, but rather selfish.

"In a Socialist/Communist Society, you would probably have a set of free state sponsored colleges, and you would go to one based on your intelligence level and how well they did in elementary school. "

Yes, Germany has that. But you don’t need socialism for that, besides the state sponsored colleges…and public schools suck and we all know it. So why would we want all state schools? Bad idea.

"If an human gain power; he is certainly fit to survive ? No, he probably exploit others, and we encourage that. "

Not everything is explotion. There is intelligence and good ideas.

Milton Hershey for example. He built his workers a socialist paradise, which is now Hershey Pennsylvania. He is famous for never cheating on his wife and living a scandalous lifestyle. In fact, he increased employment during the great depression, and how did the workers repay him? Half of them went on strike, while half were loyal to a man that gave them a chance. A man that went truly to rags to riches. With communism, there would be no Hershey bar!

      @TG:

“Very simple. Babies cry and moan all the damn time, and they learn to do it more and more. Greed gets their diaper changed, and their milk microwaved. So pre-school could try top reverse it, but they were afffected right after birth.”

I’m not sure you can associate this very heavily with greed, since this is a matter of survival (even in a communist society, we must all survive). Also, babies cry all the time, even if their diaper is already changed and/or their tummies full. I’m sure after a baby is immediately born, the reason he/she is crying is not for those mentioned above (maybe for his/her mother, though it’s often that the baby still cries even after being reunited). Also, I was thinking that a communist society would “provide for him/her” in the first place. However, what you could do is make the argument of children “throwing tantrums” to get things their way (which in this case we are all guilty for). Again, pre-school would try to reverse it (as in isolation from his/her peers if he wants to build his/her own city with ALL the blocks).

Simple. The need to acquire is instinct, but through that greed is acquired. You can’t stop that. As long as a man can strive, have hunger, or want something, greed will exist. No one truly wants greater good, remember. It is all how it feels to yourself.
