      “You think in Communistic system greed disapears. A new upper class is created out of the party/government just like capitalism, except no upward mobility.”

      False, where did I ever say this? In fact, I mentioned several times that even under communism, greed will not be eliminated. And I’ll even say it again if you want me too. What we can do is keep greed at a minimum and do our best to submerge it, unlike in capitalism were is encouraged (both directly and indirectly). Ditto what Yanny said on your “new upper class.”

      but greed is encouraged both directly and indirectly by communsim as well.

      @Yanny:

      A New upperclass is NOT created. Elected Representatives will be at the same status as everyone else before they were elected and after they finish their term.

      but they have more power, authority, and influence. They can work together, and get nicer cars and food.

      Hey we elect president bush and he ups his salary! He’s equal though…

      @F_alk:

      @yourbuttocks:

      You think in Communistic system greed disapears. A new upper class is created out of the party/government just like capitalism, except no upward mobility.

      I think it would have as much upwards mobility as a capitalist system. It’s just different “virtues” that you need.

      Not true, the buck buys you respect. Where can you get that in a communist society where you are gifted at farming so you have to farm? There is upwards mobility, I have seen it. Don’t tell me there is not…maybe not in Germany though.

      "Then communism will still work . It’s true that greed was around before the invention of the capitalist system, but capitalist presents so many more ways in which to promote greed and to accelerate its growth. This has become so grotesque that greed is actually embraced, rather then rejected. "

      Communism promotes Greed, Jelousy, and Envy just the same. If not more laziness and greed. It promotes people working hard, correct? In a school, you would have to study hard to not do physical labor, correct? There is already competition to do better than others…and if you decide to sit back and do nothing, whats stopping others?

      “So you would care no more for a love one or a best friend? However, communism naturally benefits almost everyone, yourself included.”

      I would rather save my Dad’s life than yours. I would rather save your’s than Joey Bishops (because i never wrote to him.) Our society brought me up to care about the people more who you know more. An ideal society would have everyone care for everyone. Thatneeds to be done before Communism even starts, and just starting that up isn’t worth the consequences.

      "colored people "

      i hate that term…so whites aren’t worth of color! we’re peach-ish!

      Anyhow the media does tend to focus more on what can possibly be a hate motivated crime. On the day that Diallo guy was shot 41 times, 4 white guys were killed by a mob of black people. Possible both hate crimes, or justy plain crimes, but the media seems to report one thing and not the other.

      @cystic:

      @TG:

      No harm in asking, but how old were these “child” prostitutes? I find it disturbing grown men have to indulge themselves on little kids. That’s just wrong no matter how you look at it.

      wow Moses, you’re even more naive than i am. There’s (grotesquely enough) a huge market for these girls (even younger than 10!!!).
      lots of efforts are going on to clamp down on import of these girls from S.E. Asia right now . . . plus you have other girls (usually native in Canada) as well.

      the younger they are, the less of a chance they have STDs. that’s why some people want the child sex.

      The komet looked a bit too cramped if you ask me. When I first saw it in person, I was like, “Hey, where’s the rest of it?” Also, the problem with the Komet (besides the frequent explosions) was that its landing made it very difficult to avoid Allied ftrs. And how long was the powered flight? :wink:

      wow! i envy you! I saw a v2 rocket, v1, mig 15, Me262, a bunch of planes in Arizona, but you saw a Me163!

      Now we gotta break in and see the Gotha 229.

    • RE: Bush's new "Snoop" Executive act

      @TM:

      Colin Powell is a good man. As secretary of state, he does his best to improve the plight of Africans who have no one else to look up to. Just watching the desolate faces of famished African children change as bags of United States’ corn and grain arrive to their remote village is one of the most satisfying and fulfilling feelings no act of self interest can ever take away

      Colin Powell is pretty Liberal, but it balnces out John Ashcroft. Anyhow, my mother was at a fireworks display at Harbor Island in NY two fourth of Julys ago, and what she believed were Africans who immigrated to America were cheering “Freedom!”

      Those are true Americans…people who work hard and love their country…at least its principles.

    • RE: International Crimminal Court

      @FinsterniS:

      @TG:

      Yes, another problem would be if there would be capital punishment under the ICC.

      I don’t think Europe would accept capital punishment.

      Also why i vote yes is that one day, we will need an international court to juge war crime fairly, not the “justice of the victor”, but a fair judgement. I don’t know if this court will work out, but i think we must put hope in it.

      Also i am strongly against what Horten said about “immunity for NATO member”, no single country should have immunity, this is against every basic principle of justice. All country outise NATO would find this to be unfair; and it would be !

      John Ashcroft visits Europe on vacation. Someone accuses him of warcrimes! Same with soldiers. It is that simple. We have to prevent that for our militaries.

      The victor writes history…he might as well control the courts…it is not like an international court would not be unbiased. If certain people don’t get the death pelenty, and if that’s the go to court, then it isn’t serving its purpose.

      "Also HFW - i think it may be possible for Bush to have had a minority (i.e. fewer than 50% of all votes cast) yet still win the election (votes split between the two smarter, yet equally boring candidates - Nader and Gore). "

      I know. Electoral college.

      “When that happens here (i.e. the Prime Minister’s party has a “minority” of seats, or less than %50 with more seats than any other single party) - 2 or more parties might force a non-confidence vote, forcing an early election.
      Not that you care, but i just threw that in for our Canada-phile Moses”’

      I care. Its nice to know how other governments elect their officials.

      “Still, AFAIR if you take the total amount of votes cast, then Bush did not win a majority. Your indirect election system might have been great and useful in the time of hosre carriages, but in the times of the internet and telephone, it becomes unfair und injust (sp?).”

      How is that our culture’s fault or Bush’s fault? No one really likes it. No one really gets to updating the system I guess, and at this point it is the least of our worries.

      "True, i haven’t heard of that law before. But (and this is true for any country in the world) i do not expect a government to give up power (or tax income or whatever) once they have seized it. "

      Wrong again! Under pressure from the labor party and Israeli public, the law wasn’t pushed from PArliment and never went through! (this is old news and I never got to reporting it!) I’m very happy to hear this.

      "Well, then give it all back to the Turks, who have ruled over that land for most of the last 1000 years. To say “it’s not theirs” you have to define under which conditions you can claim ownership, how long ago is your claim, how long did you own it then and all this. I guess our views differ there, which leads to supporting different groups. "

      I see where you are coming from…while we are at it, let’s remake the Roman empire. I call Emperor. Truth is that your logic dictates that we must support the state that exists in modern times. That state is Israel and by that logic you must support its existance.

      "“No, i mean that incident about two weeks ago, where the israeli military admitted “it was a mistake” and promised to have a closer look at that.
      If you want me, then i can search for the actual date and place.”

      You could if you want (to tell the honest truth when you are searching through headlines a million of these pop up.) I bet that it was in some way provoked. It wouldn’t be the first time.

    • RE: The Existence of God

      @Yanny:

      This is flawed from the start of the first paragraph. It automatically assumes a Monotheist God. An Agnostic does not always have to believe or not believe in Monotheism.

      there isn’t more than one God and I can assure you. The idea of it is too conjured up by man wanting to expalin is multiple surroundings. If there is a God, he is of words we cannot explain, and numbers we cannot count. To say you can is arrogant because if God is supreme (even that too light a word) then what can a lowly man compare him to what he already knows? Furthermore throughout time man thought he kn ew everything knowable. 500 years from now physcisit (sp.) can prove in ways we cannot imagine that there is no good and that the Universe is eternal because the spped of light this divided by time that and who knows.

      "There are but three possible answers to this question: (1) the Universe is eternal; it has always existed and will always exist; (2) the Universe is not eternal; rather, it created itself out of nothing; (3) the Universe is not eternal, and did not create itself out of nothing; rather, it was created by something (or Someone) anterior, and superior, to itself. These three options merit serious consideration. "

      The Universe is finite according to our math (if the vo9lume of open space around earth was infinite, density cannot exist because M/V, would nopt be able to be performed. There has to be an end to that logic, yet this logic can be outdate in the future.) Where did it began and how? Is it really important to know, we obviously can’t figure it out now. I believe God started the unvierse and existance, but that is only because I have no better answer. That and becauser someone always tries to spite me…it is either ghosts or God!

      "i can’t see how 62 AA-rocket programs are a sign for arrogance, i think it’s more a sign for geing “under the pump”. "

      Know your own country’s history. None of those programs shared any knowledge with each other. If you think the CIA and the FBI were bad…

      “Well, i think all “educated” germans know and more or less care about the G8. Out of our history we know / have learnt that you can’t try to live isolated in this world. Therefore we care for what is happening at those summits. The positions on the G8 may be different, but still they care (positively or negatively).”

      All “educated Germans?” So, not all educated Americans? If i am “educated” i guess I knew more less than more about the G8.

      "understandable? That is my whole point, when saying the “US americans have a talent for provoking ill feelings in me”. I can’t tell how big my talent or the german talent is. It was extremely high in the last century though. "

      Yes, killing all of those Jews was ingenious. That is if you want to compare what every action the Germans committed. America invented a lot of things to, though with a lot of help from Germans. But Icannot say that the German or American people are truly better people. The most we can debate is who is socially better…and inventions have nothing to do with it. I msut say this spitefullness against America is dangerous. Read your own writing. “Saber-rattling” culture? Look down at us, for we have an Brutish culture!

      "Wasn’t it you who said you shouldn’t trust european media, as they are all leftist and whatever? "

      I never said the governments had anything to do with it. And i wouldn’t trust their media, or anyones.

      "Does it say “corruption” anywhere? … Don’t see it. It’s just that your president, who was voted by a minority into his office, does not help to promote a picture of the US as “caring”, “thinking” or “cooperating”. It’s saber-rattling and a lot more that i would then have to think of the US americans. "

      Hey ignorant fool. Bush won. Newspapers eventually counted all of the votes in Florida, and because america has an electoral college, Bush would of STILL won. Did your media report that, or i guess you were to busy studying up on the G8 conference. People cannot know everything, so when some Americans don’t know, it isn’t a friggin’ huge tragedy.

      "Flag day is:
      June 14th… 1885 invented… by a teacher… official since 1916.
      This is not your major national holiday, so i had to look that one up. "

      Where is my house??? If you don’t know, you don’t respect my culture…i’m just kiddin’!
