Well said frimmel, my wife surprised me by saying she wanted to see it. I found it a rather mild movie, but enjoyable none the less. I must admit, I had to go home and watch the second half of Pearl Harbor to get a lil action fix.
Go see it though, They got all the period vehicles right…even the Russians and to that I say bravo!
I’m almost positive Karl7 would attend too. He lives in the city and is a very dedicated player, as we all are. We’ve been trying to get together for a game for a while now. Can’t think of a better way to do it then this.

As a Philadelphia Eagles fan and the victim of “filmed practice” gate, I hate to say this but it must be Tom Brady. After they won their SB’s both coordinators (Weis and Crennel)left and went on to ruin both Norte Dame and Cleveland symultaniously. Throw Josh McDaniels into the mix and Denver was a mess while he was there too. Bill Belichek was a pedestrian coach until he had Brady and became one of the best ever. They need to thank the stars that Brady made them good, not the other way around.
Brady makes everyone around him better. When he finally got a quality WR in Randy Moss, he broke the TD reception record. Then he broke the record for TD receptions for a TE when he got Gronk. Miami cut little Wes Welker and all Brady did was have him break the receptions record in a season.
Brady never won a SB with a running game or a solid defence. Look at this year, all they did was lose Welker, Aaron Hernandez, Gronk for most of the year, Shane Vereen, Vince Wolfork on D and they still went 12-4 with white guys named Danny Amendola and Julien Edelman (am I spelling their names right)…amazing. Heck, Edelman was a QB in college and Brady threw 100+ catches at him for over 1000 yards and 6 TD’s! Don’t forget what he turned 3’ 7" Danny Woodhead into for San Diego, a monster. This guy could make Bill Gates and Jonah Hill Pro Bowlers
Sorry guys if I am rambling and I hate the Pats but it’s hard to doubt the facts. Again, as an Eagle fan and growing up in San Francisco, It’s fun to challange niner fan and Joe almighty! Go birds!
I’m glad to contribute as well. I had to keep my bronze badges going…I guess that’s better then nothing. Most of my forum time is spent over at the Axis and Allies Miniatures forum. Although I do stop by here at least once a week to check on you guys and the latest news/info/brawls.

Last year, someone was selling a still sealed AA50 copy on CL for $75! I just missed that one.
I occasionally see them pop up on eBay for $250-$300. If you see one for. $200 or less. I say jump on it. Shipping cost is usually steep though. $25-$35 mostly.
Yea man I think your best bet is eBay unfortunatly. Check Craigslist too. Last summer I saw a garage sale add saying they had AA games and I got 6 different games including a complete anniversary game for $7 each…can’t beat that :-D You’d be suprised how much AA comes up on Craigslist.
Yea, a four team playoff is what people have wanted for a long time. BCS honks have always believed that the current system in place works. This year it did but in past years there have been many questions as to who belongs in the championship game. A four team playoff eliminates any question as to who should be in the title game.

This Sunday will be the first time I get to break out the AA50 and give it a go! I’ve read a lot of posts that this might be the best version of AA to play and I’m so excited. After playing countless games of '84, Europe, Pacific, and Revised, I hope I’m up for the challange. Lucky for me I get to go up against a softballer like Variable so this should be a slam dunk for me, haha.

So glad to see that it got funded. There was a large donation by a backer that funded in honor of his father that pushed them over the top, pretty awesome. This game will be so much fun to play and using the pieces with global will be a whole new adventure.
