I bought this game new in 2006, tried to play it once and put it awy until today. My friend and I said that today would be the day we would give botb another try. I have been reading all these posts and questions and the FAQ’s for the past week now and thank goodness for all this info.
The game was a lot of fun once you tell yourself that this is no traditional AA game. I was the allies because I read that a lot of people said the axis blows right through the allies and I thought I was up for the challenge….Let’s just say, My buddy had enough victory points by turn 4 for the W …oh well.
His blitzes and my poor supply placement cost me the game but next time, I will be prepared, Again, Thanks for all the info on this game guys.
Just got AA50 on ebay for $220.00 :|(blaaagghhh) :| so looking forward to playing that next.

Foe some reason, I cannot load a saved game. I go to the “load saved games” tab and see the game I’ve saved and click “open” but when i go to play it, the “play” tab won’t activate.
Any ideas??? and thanks. -
RE: Remember your 1rst game?posted in Axis & Allies Classic
Your story was a lot like mine…1988 at my friends house with 2 other friends and his dad…I was U.S. an like you had no idea what I was doing. The dad was germany and for some reason sent 3 subs down around south america. I spent all game chasing that damn wolfpack and pretty much losing the game for the allies.
We still laugh because our buddy that played the U.K. put a Industrial complex in every african country so, I didn’t feel like the only clueless player that night. -
Battle Cry!posted in Other Games
A buddy just picked up “Battle Cry” anniversary at a store that was having a 50% off sale. We are lifelong AA players with the occasional game of Fortress America mixed in. We have always wanted to try Battle Cry…Is it any good?

RE: What was original retail price of A +A Anniversary Edition?posted in Axis & Allies Anniversary Edition
I had a copy in my dirty little hands in a mall in Scottsdale AZ and was about to get it, then i saw the $99.99 retail price at this game store. My wife gave me that look and I made the mistake of putting it back thinking I would get it later but unfortunatly, I didn’t.
She hates the game, calls me a tool for playing and gets bent when I’m gone all day playing. I tell her It’s my geography lesson and ask her to show me where Malta is on a map…she can’t…Who’s the tool now??? -
