I’d like to see a movie made detailing the entire life’s story of Micheal Wittman, obviously with a focus on his accomplishments throughout the war.

RE: Is internatioal woman's day sexist?
Garg, I can’t wait til Mother’s day comes around. I look forward to that pointless thread when it does.
How is it you manage to get out of bed in the morning when so many innocuous things threaten you to the core?

RE: Moral question…
Well it’s obvious Heppsititus stinks up a government building.
lol. I run my own designing & contracting business. So I am familiar with the blunt nature of job sites.
However, I hope he realizes that the next step in this process, is that if the person doesn’t groom themselves that they’ll “get groomed”. In short order.
Perhaps I should argue that I saved this person and my company -that- fate.
There is no excuse for being regularily disgusting, and a “danger” to yourself and others.
lol. I run my own designing & contracting business. I have also worked for many construction companies over the years. So I am familiar with the blunt nature of job sites.
Unfortunately the courts don’t have a “Oh you work in the trades” clause in the law.
I’ve seen more then a few people loose their careers after being diagnosed with severe cases of “Foot in the mouth” disease. I have also seen many cases of companies paying dearly for managers who have suffered from said disease.

RE: Moral question…
There is a vast difference between having justifiable grounds for dismissal and public belittlement of an employee.
I’m not saying that you didn’t in all probability have adequate grounds to terminate the employee. But on the flip side of the coin you didn’t mention in your initial post whether or not you discussed with the individual whether he had any medical or religious conditions/restrictions that may have been contributing to is apparent lack of hygiene. God forbid he does, because if he does and he is smarter than he is clean… you’ll rue the day you ever opened your mouth in front of your staff.
What I’m saying is that there is absolutely no justification under any circumstances to publicly belittle any employee in the workplace. Firstly it can have legal implications. Harassment can be used to define a broad range of behaviors in the workplace. And generally speaking the courts tend to favour plaintiffs in situations where managerial personnel are seen to exhibit discriminatory or abussive behavior. But more importantly is that as an employee I would be asking myself when will it be my turn for public humiliation. Furthermore what is stopping me as an employee from telling Jimmy that his Curry sticks up the lunch room, or that I hate Franks pink shirts, or to tell you you’re a shitty boss in front of everyone else for that matter. Because a pattern of saying whatever you want in front of whoever is around will foster that attitude in all your employees.
You have every right in your personal life to tell it like it is. I’m sure to you, your farts smell like roses and your breath is like rainbows to everyone around you. And if you want to walk around pointing out others short comings then that’s your prerogative. However the workplace is no place for it. If you need to address a situation in the workplace you do it in private.
All that being said I will acknowledge that tradesmen and construction sites can be less than professional workplaces.

RE: The entire city of winnipeg now pays rent
I’ll stick by my wording. However the fact that you can find so many other words to adequately describe your own title tells me that you did it knowingly.
As to the rest of it… Again I would think that the courts would have taken into the consideration any and all actions that would have made any such contract void. And if such an argument holds water, then I’m sure it will be a factor in the case going forward.
Perhaps you could phone Ottawa and offer up your services as part of the Crown Legal team. You seem to feel you are well equipped to represent Canada interests in the area of Aboriginal Affairs.

- A week of -no change- and I said it out-loud to him in front of a group of people…
- Another week of -no change- and I simply dropped the bomb, you F’n STINK, and it still didn’t seem to register…
This is unconscionable behavior for anyone on a managerial or supervisory role. Public humiliation of an employee (regardless of the causal factors) is deplorable behavior. While it may have made you popular with the other employees in the short term and may have solved the immediate problem, you have probably done more long term damage to your credibility as a leader than anything else. And if you don’t get sued for discriminatory practices you should count yourself very lucky.

RE: The entire city of winnipeg now pays rent
It seems as though the article indicates that no resolution to the issue had been identified. But rather simply that a fair majority of Supreme Court Judges have acknowledged a failure on the part of the Federal Government to up-hold its side of a 140 year old contract.
The label you have given this thread is highly inaccurate and inflammatory. This seems to be more rhetoric and a carry over from the other thread. My personal views on the subject aside, I’m inclined to defer to the judgement of the people with the skills, Knowledge and authority to make a ruling on the matter. After all they are a charged with the task of up-holding the laws of our society and are far better equipped to pass judgement on such matters than anyone on this forum.
The bigger question at hand is with how much foresight and intelligence shall the matter be dealt with by our elected and appointed Governmental officials in finding a fair and mutually beneficial resolution.

3 more days and it will have been a month since we have heard a peep from moilami.
At what point do we consider this a fruitless endevour?

RE: Custom Global Table
It is a fantastic table.
what I particularly like is the fact that the early shots are in your kitchen… leading me to believe you are either single or soon to be divorced. :-D Because I know that if I came home and dropped a 4’ x 8’ sheet of plywood in the Kitchen I’d better be building something to sleep in. Cause I’d be needing it when I was outside later that night. LOL
Great work!

RE: What impact will the USA have, if any?
I agree with Flashman. the entire idea that U.S.A. can do anything in the 4 turns prior to entering the war is absurd.
It’d make more sense if U.S. had a reasonable navy, but having it parked some where with no allowance to move. Additionally it’d make sense if they got a bare minimum of income until they are active in the war.
Otherwise the whole thing makes very little sense.
The idea of being able to move American forces en-mass into position for turn 4 is quite silly.

Very well done map. Looks very good.
Am I to guess that because the factories are printed directly on the map that these are the only places teams can produce?

RE: CoD - CoD MW3
My PC is in my office as well.
But with the advent of wireless mice (?) and keyboards I can have my computer in my family room whenever the mood strikes me. :-D
I can sit on the couch and play Triple A (or whatever game) on a large screen whenever the mood strikes me.

RE: CoD - CoD MW3
Wow you must have a really old pc.
I use my PC on my flat screen.

RE: TripleA for G40 is sweetness!!!
Triple A is easily, hands down, my preferred method of playing turn based strategy games. So many great options and flexibility to ensure things are governed by the engine. Personally I feel all the added features are nice and since you can turn them all off with a single click they are also not a distraction if I wish to eliminate them from play. Many add to the atmosphere of the game and while they might appeal to the more juvenile side of my personality isn’t that what escaping to the fantasy of a video game is all about?
Cmdr Jennifer obviously all the efforts you have put into ABattlemap make you biased towards your own work, and that is understandable.

RE: Have you ever cheated at an A&A game?
Love the drinking option….had to go with it!
I would have to believe all the options should have the “I was drinking…”
Not sure I’ve ever played a game of A&A where I haven’t been consuming alcohol.
