      What I would like is a package of poker chips (compatible with existing A&A versions) to use with 1914. I find that there simply isn’t room on the board for all the different stacks for each army, especially on the crowded western front.

      So I just give each nation a single stack of chips with the required infantry unit on top.

      The system I use is:

      grey/white = infantry
      red = artillery
      green - tanks
      blue = fighters

      Additional colours might be reserved for new units vis:

      black = bombers
      yellow = cavalry

      A nice touch would be for each colour to be embossed with the appropriate unit type.

      Equivalent pieces for ships aren’t as important but maybe double sided chips for naval units?

      Thanks Coach for the opportunity to acquire those pieces of History. The original signed Rulebook was really the one I wanted and I have no problem donating to the cause of the Charity you chose. How about doing a Toys for Tots one?
      That was one I was personally involved in for many years as well as the POW/MIA group.

      Coach I would go with the scale you use for tactical bombers. Even though there is no intention to use them with WWII era aircraft, sizing them in the tactical bomber scale provides a more consistent line-up between products. In other words there are many who use HBG pieces for many uses and would like the consistency of scale that HBG provides with your other product’s. IMO it keeps the product line more linear.

      @Tall:

      “Coach”,

      ––As far as the Island Warfare set in your Global Warfare-1939 series sets goes,….Do you have plans for making,…or could you PLEASE include an APD Attack Transport? These were the WW1 era 4-piper Destroyers that were rebuilt into Attack Transports for the Marine Raiders and other units. The Japanese also had simular Attack Transports and both were seen starting in the Guadalcanal campaign.
      ––My Marine Raiders are anxiously awaiting their rides into battle.

      ––I’m including a drawing & some pics, below.

      @coachofmany:

      Just catching up, hope you enjoyed our small but fun con!

      Will any pics be posted? I am so disappointed that I couldn’t make it out. I had been planning to go for months, and then my wife and I decided to open up a café. Needless to say, all my free time is used up there. I really hope that it went well enough to do another one next year.

      -jluna1273

      Those darn women and their desire to mess with our gaming time with jobs n’ stuff ;)  (j/k, of course, congrats and best of luck on the Café!  It’s something I’d love to do myself)

      Second the motion for pictures!  Pictures, pictures pictures!!  Wish we could’ve made it but work, time, money and distance all got in the way this time.  :(

      If you’re building a scenario around the interwar American War Plan Orange, you should also look into the interwar Japanese doctrine of Kantai Kessen.  Orange and Kantai Kessen reflected each other nicely, in that both envisioned the US fleet sailing west into Japanese waters, where the two fleets would engage in a Mahan-style decisive battle…which, however, each side expected to win.  Japanese plans envisioned significant attrition of the US fleet along the way (chiefly by submarines, I think), prior to the main event (an old-fashioned slugging match between battleships).

      Read the rules. Generally happy with what I see. Greatly simplified in the right places (e.g. no more US dud torpedoes) while some optional complexity is added in others (terrain rules).

      One thing I really do miss, however, is the inability to retreat for the defender?? Was that decision made simply for reasons of added playing time?

      If my old eyes can see them quite well so I suspect you will be good. Almost everyone at my LGS uses these for WaS.

      Yea just looking for cheap ideas, but with them you still need the actual dividers. If you go with cardboard boxes the costs might be similiar

      @coachofmany:

      I do need to produce some UK Infantry markers, i will put that on our list.
      island Warfare is delayed but we are looking on the best way to produce these sets with our factory.
      We are actually changing the way you can purchase pieces on the site, no more ones or two, there will be a 5 min. on pieces and markers. We have to do this to keep us going.

      Coach,

      I forgot to mention the website states that you are out of stock of those nice plastic German roundels.

      Those are bleachers (houses) from NFL Monopoly. I glued short dowels to the back and painted them brick red to use as minor factories.
