    • RE: Scales??

      Yes, I agree IL, I also will keep the plastic subs except for Japanese, I am using the metal I-400 model.
      I thought about using GHQ destroyers , but decided to stay with the panzerschiffe models.

    • RE: Scales??

      I chose pieces from GHQ that were still well known but because GHQ metal is soft the barrels will bend. For the Amerciabs I code the 105mm Sherman since it had a shorter barrel than the 75mm and still looks like the Sherman, it is a Sherman. I would of liked a PZIV for the Germans but went with short barreled pZIII and IV, used the Tiger 1 for the heavy tank. Choices can be made to help ensure that you pieces look good, but endure handling.
      I agree not to use GHQ for ships, way too fragile.

      Nicely done Coach, what type of paint did you use on the figures?

      I am using Vallejo paints.
      I do use a spray primer before I paint them.

      make sure you wash the plastic with some dish soap and water to get the oils off from the molds, use a primer, then paint and varnish.

      @Emperor_Taiki:

      @Imperious:

      The political relationships are also the result of treaties and past results that caused the treaties.

      pieces of paper

      @Imperious:

      The political relationships are a result of the goals, armed forces, resources and geography of the opposing nations.

      And even if #4 was removed as an effect to why Japan wont be attacking Russia till turn 4, the others proof the rule because this is a historically based game and not ‘candyland’.

      That is what i thought i was saying.
      ill reinterate, no one is saying japan should attack the Soviets.
      I am just saying that the non-agresion rule is redundant
      should rules be redundant?

      eddiem4145 i really dont see this as an arguement, I want to know ILs reasoning behind his rules. I have enjoy this discusion.

      You are being redundant!
      Play the game the way it is designed, if you do not like it, do not play it!
      I have to agree with IL that it is ridiculous for to Japan to March to Moscow.
      Japan had to go south for the oil since they were cut-off.

      Yes, I live in Tulsa, we are playing a big game Saturday august 7th, from Noon to whenever.
      We are playing global 1940 on a 48" x 96" board. We could use another player.

    • RE: Global War 1940/41

      Not much else to choos from, I use the standard roundel OOB for the UK, and the far east roundel for India, and the blue circle with white center for the Australians. Sometimes choices have to be made because out of options. I did not want to use the post 1945 roundel with the maple leaf. Any suggestions?

    • RE: Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion thread

      @Brain:

      I can’t believe people are complaining that the pieces are too detailed. If you want less detail, then buy WOTC pieces.

      People will complain even if they were hung with a new rope.
