We use this rule. If fighters are in a territory with a air base, they may scramble to an anjacent sea zone. TAC or Bombers may not scramble.
Good rule.

RE: Who wants Roundels like AAA Europe/Pacific 1940 ?posted in House Rules
I appreciate your comments on the roundels.
Yes, I will go out of the box whenever possible.
I agree, I will not use the swastika.
Why do you like the Romania roundel over the other version?
Union jack for india is a good choice, I like it better than the post war roundel.
Great comments, thanks.
I do not like your choice of roundel for poland, but I am all about accuracy, thanks. -
RE: Request: Adviceposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Imperious leader has many good maps and rules on this site as well as game tokens, boards that can be downloaded an printed out.
Many others have posted good house rules that can be added to your own game.
There are a wealth of great ideas and places to get miniatures for the game.
If you stay with the out of the box miniatures, it will be the cheapest.
I use 1/72 infantry, 1:285 tanks, mechs, 1/700 aircraft , and 1/2400 ships for my 48"x 96" board, but they are not cheap. -

RE: Who wants Roundels like AAA Europe/Pacific 1940 ?posted in House Rules
The roundels I make on eBay are on 3/4" Avery labels stuck to a AAA roundel.
I am going to make roundels just like you get in a Europe 1940 game.
They should be first class. -
Who wants Roundels like AAA Europe/Pacific 1940 ?posted in House Rules
Please vote for (7) Seven Countries
I am wanting to make nice Roundels just like in Axis and Allies Europe / Pacific 1940.
They would have the same thickness and colors as existing Roundels.
If there is enough Interest I can make a run of them and on the second run we can make others.
If there are other Roundels wanted please let me know!1A. Italy - Out of the Box

BTW, I’ve never seen a twenty.
Yes, I know……I am going to make some to cut down on the Tens.
So now what would you need?
Thanks -

RE: IL's Axis and Allies Global 1939 and 1942 filesposted in House Rules
@Imperious:
Ok so in both cases the thing is for one round?
If that is the case the cost must be changed:
pay 2 IPC fixed cost and 1 IPC for each adjacent territory or sea zone.
so if you want a fort in an area adjacent to 6 areas, the cost is 8 IPC
Small islands inside a sea zone are 3.
Yes, I like that.

I have to agree, we changed the fort rule to first round only.

RE: Global War 1940/41posted in Global War
Convoy’s in this game: Do each power start out already collecting its convoy? Such as the Soviet Convoy for 4 IPC… so Russia counts that in the collect income phase or do they need to do something first to the convoy?
Yes, it is part of their income.
If it is interrupted, they lose it, but the country intrrupting does not gain from it. -
RE: Table Tactics New Product Releaseposted in Other Axis & Allies Variants
Dr Larsen,
I think that is too big. Honestly, if we are using light med and heavy tanks the difference will be pretty clear.
I prefer using the A&A Panther as my upper range identifier (maybe a tad bit bigger for a Tiger) but no bigger than that.
Agreed
TWG tiger is too big IMO.
Use a tiger 1 just bigger than the panther, obvious difference, use a kv2 for the Russian heavy, obvious difference and you do not need to take up precious board space. -

Wow!!!
That is huge. I thought my 48"x 96" was big but……
I have map envy! :| -

Yes,
The Vichy and free French are battling it out.
This global game is pretty massive.
We like playing it though. -
RE: Oil well Rules "WANTED"posted in House Rules
I like IL’s rules and I am going to use them with slight modifications.
Germany and Italy will use the oil fields of Romania. I also think that if they can trace a supply path to Venzuela, they would have oil.
Japan needs oil somewhere, give them oil from Russia and the us until certain times of the war , then when they are at war, they must have oil secured or serve penalties.
Penalities would be either moving only half their pieces they require fuel or make them all move a limited range. -
RE: Oil well Rules "WANTED"posted in House Rules
I am trying to make a model to represent an oil complex.
Here it is on the Europe 1940 Board.
I used a Oil derrick & Shack from the game “King Oil”, and “N” scale oil barrels (you can get them from C in C), this is mounted on a penny.
Just a draft for now. What are your thoughts? -

Which sculpts from the new table tactics models are in scale with axis and allies models.
