Japan is the Peyton Manning of A&AR – it puts up big numbers every time. However, if the Allies do their job right, they do a Bill Belichik and run out the clock on the Japs. It’s all about the numbers . . .
I love the analogy!

Does a battleship HAVE to partake in a sea battle or can it not join in and take part in the exptect amphibious assault with its shore bombardment?
I just want to make sure Im crystal clear on this. If subs are in no way involved in combat, during their NCM can they submerge?
My opponent just had a very very bad J1. I thus spent 40ipc on US pacific navy. 1 CV, 2 subs and 1trn. Next time i’ll pick up a bb and then a trn for atlantic and some guys. I will crush him!!!
My new strategy is destroy Germany first no matter what. All out, 110% wail on Germany. Unless the J1 goes horribly horribly wrong. Then I send in the American Armada!
I have a quick question. The rule where you can only mobilize a certain number of units corresponding with the income value of the territory. Does this rule apply to your original ICs? For example, can Russia only place 4 units in the caucuses? 5 is off limits?
I’ve always played you could mobilize as many as you wanted on your original ICs, but ICs you built or captured were subject to the rule. Very likely I could be playing incorrectly.

Thats certainly the truth for me.
What do you guys think about sending your entire pacific fleet, BB and Trn, to Atlantic?
I’ve just started playing A&A Revised and LOVE this game. I’ve only played a couple of games so far, but the end result is always the same: My complete and utter destruction. I’ve always played the allies so far. I typically attempt a KGF strategy, but I think my American strategy is weak. I attempt to get a tranny train going to Europe, but it seems to take forever. I think I get too caught up trying to build a decent pacific fleet, while at the same time trying to take out the germans. I would like to hear what your typical (or insane) American strats/first couple of moves are.
Hey. I’m looking for somebody who has great patience to help teach me how to play online. I’ve played the board game f2f a couple of times, lost everytime with allies, but would like to play more. I’ve been messing around with mapview and abattlemap and think I have those down. I’m not sure how those dice sites work, so I’d rather just use in the in-house dice. So if anyones interested let me know.
I got another question. Where the heck can I buy this game? Every where I’ve checked online is out of stock. Is this usual or are they just low because of Christmas?
I read the rules and maybe I just missed it, but I would like to know about amphibious landings. For example, if my transport lands 1 tank and 1 inf in an enemy territory with no defenders:
1. Does the move from transport to territory count as 1 movement?
2. If yes, can the tank still move 1 more space?
Im assuming yes to #1, but I just want to be sure.
Sweet! Thanks for the help!
I forgot about transport rules. Though more importantly I didn’t know I couldn’t “Kamikaze” my fighters. That pretty much blows my theory apart. What about this bid process though? Can someone explain that to me?
Ok, so I just started playing this game last week and am pretty much addicted. So, I’m going to throw around a few basic questions and some crazy ideas that I come up with.
First question: How does this bidding thing work? Is this part of the LHTR, is it a normal rule? mostly just use it when you play online, what?
Second Question: So I was bored and was looking at the map and thinking… How could I crush those pesky Brits with the Germans. so… I thought what if on G1, germany sends every all 6 fig (I think they can all get there, no all return) 1 bmb, and then 2 tnks via trn. If I am correct you have
Germany with 6 fig, 1 bmb and 2 tnks
vs.
Britian 2inf, 1 art, 1 tnk, 2 fig, 1 bom and 1 aa.
I realize this is a little risky, in fact, if you lose, pry nuts, BUT was wondering if anyone has tried it, what people think, etc. Is there a place to properly calculate these odds?
