The big ‘question’ or ‘hook’ of the movie is how he learned how to implant an idea. But after I asked that question, I let it go to a degree. Now how he learned to do inception and what it cost to learn is the entire point of the scenes with his wife and her constant appearance. I connected those two together shortly before the big reveal but I was disappointed that ‘there is a connection and you’re missing it’ didn’t pester me more.

Nolan gave you everything you needed to make that connection or hit that inspiration before the reveal in the film similar to “The Prestige” where I was very aware I was not connecting up the dots. I was aware that the answer was right in front of me and I wasn’t seeing it while in “Inception” I wasn’t as much. spoiler for The Prestige When we see all the hats I started getting a little voice saying “Do you see it now?” And that voice kept crowing at me till we learn of the trap door in the big trick where I finally connected the dots.

“Inception” somehow missed in creating that which is likely more about my own thought processes and decisions of participation in the movie than any failure of the film. I think that the whole action part of the story with the mogul they were trying to get to break up his father’s companies was MacGuffin and the real story was about what it cost to learn inception. I think the action parts distracted me too much from trying to connect the dots between the guilt over DiCaprio’s wife and learning how to do inception. They hid it a little too much that the story is a quest for redemption.

This kind of nitpicking is typically a sign of a movie I really enjoyed.

Not really harder, just different.  you can’t totally look to revised as a basis for what you can do here, because of the changes. 
Its not necessarily a must to keep the allied fleets together.  it all depends on how you build them and where the opposition is.

I personally like for germany to waste fighters on a vulnerable american fleet at SZ12.  when there is a stronger back up on SZ10. that means those fighters are not bothering Russia…. but like i said it depends on the positions

Once while playing the original A/A in a desperate move I sent a British transport with 2 infantry
from the western Med. into the Black Sea and attacked Ukraine that had 4 German fighters.
I rolled 2 ones, he missed on all four and then I rolled snake eyes again. Unforgetable and hilarious.  What a rush!

Junebug baseball. You get around an outside utility light at night with a baseball bat and swing away. The person with the most connections with Junebugs is the winner.

I kind of liked that neither of them spent a lot of time recriminating themselves. They both miss her and seem sorry she is gone and would love to have her back but aren’t falling into that cliche ‘ohhh I’m a bad parent because my child was killed doing something questionable’ riff we see so often.

I find it very refreshing really. Way too often do we have to watch people beating themselves up over things they aren’t responsible for.

OK, now that is just plain awesome. That beats out any recent medieval recreation I’ve seen! I’d volunteer to work on it. It does look slightly out of place considering it’s environment, but maybe my cultural views of castles are too shaped by hollywood.

To top it off though they need to expand it out and make a town, just like there would be…

Yeah I thought so as well. When I shaw this show I was wishing I could participate. Some of the things they were doing really intrigued me, such as did you know that the spiral stairs going up the guard towers always spiral to the right? This is because most people are right handed and the defender above would have the advantage as the person climbing the stairs would have difficulty swinging their sword. Same reason why they make the passage ways narrow and the door entrance at the top of the stairs is low so as to force the individual to duck under and be vulnerable for the defender to attack. They were also showing some of the nasty traps they have waiting for invaders such as the oil cauldron to pour on them, the tensioned “spring loaded spike belt”, to name a few.
And to build it the way it was done is great, truly amazing.
