      Also, you cant dog on Cunningham too much, he did have almost 100 civilians he had to look out for. It’s one thing to order the United States Marine Corp to go out in a blaze of glory, but they had responsibilities beyond their honor. Not that is saved the civilians in the long run :/

      @Guerrilla:

      I say this to my American compadres, although to my international compadres, Happy Thanksgiving if you want to join us. Always enough turkey for everyone. :mrgreen: I’m thankful it actually feels cold enough to be Thanksiving in Texas. First year I was here, it was 80 on the holiday…

      GG

      I completely agree, love the cool Texas weather this Holiday.

      Imperious LeaderI

      The Spurs benched Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, and Green (4 starters and top scorers) and the bench still made it a game with the Heat at home full strength.

      Thats true but it was earlier in the season. The teams now are very different. Based on the period after the All star game.

      For me, I often get lost with the sheer mass of cards that are in all the sets of dominion, so I don’t mind just playing with the base. There are enough variations to keep it interesting. I know the feeling though, especially if they make the environment user-friendly or graphically applaudable.

      About a decade ago, I purchased a bargain bin CD ROM for Sid Meier’s Windows Civilization  and Colonization (DOS)

      $10 from one of those office stores then .

      I replayed both a gazillion times on 2 sequential PC’s.

      It was hard enough to get a group together as a single…
      Even harder now that I am married.
      Most of the get together folks I hung out with now have kids, and even less time for such a game gatherings anymore.
      After work, I can play a solo game on my PC for a while, save it , and then get back to my chores.

      Not sure why you would limit yourself to just board games that would need other folks to match your schedule.

      Thanks Wittman, I’ll definitely try and spearhead that endeavor. If anyone does have suggestions for readings they have done, I would be grateful if you could tell me about them here.

      When I went to Fort McHenry, I was told by the ranger there, “‘The Dawn’s Early Light’ is the definitive volume on the campaign, specifically leading up to the Battle of Baltimore.” Great text, reads like Cornelius Ryan’s classic, “A Bridge Too Far.”

      Anybody else play this sport? I haven’t stopped playing since I was 11, or when I did, I regretted it! The game is a major addiction and workout. I workout during the week, and on Sunday afternoons, 4 hours of play forms most of my cardio.
