      @surfer I think you need a destroyer to be able to hit submarines (and spot them for airplanes) , but they can submerge after one turn. When you develop improved destroyers they are more powerful. No submerge, no first strike!

      @dawgoneit I moved (Edit) your train from Calcutta to Rangoon. I assume you didnt realize you had a train there. Trains are not military units, but they are powerful in transporting other units up to five moves a turn.

      @Caesar1 every building needs an engineer in the territory you want to place it. to build a barracks you need an engineer and 2 material in the same territory. research center needs the same. a railroad only needs an engineer

      @Grinchveld It was not a smart move. I could only place 2 units even though I had purchased 3. I wanted my units closer to the frontline

      @Guderian1 I originally repaired west germany since it had a more healthy factory. (G40 doesnt need docks to build battleships)

      I couldnt edit damage to factories so I only edited the carrier where I was not allowed to place it. (technically I would have had to repair 3 more in west germany). I make a second edit to remove 1 infantry.

      @surfer I think we should play as the engine allows. Theres too much hassle to get 7 people to adhere to all details.

      If anybody wants to start a new game we can do it then. I want to play a new game with fewer players as soon as I get a hold of all the rules.

      @surfer Im pretty sure its correct the way it works in the engine. Its the treacherous notion of this game. There are plenty of these differences from the typical G40. You wont discover them when reading the rules, only when you play it.

      The only problem I am aware of is that carriers have 2 lives, which they are not supposed to have until an upgrade. This can be mitigated by downloading an xml file with the newest updates. You can update if you want to, but its not necessary for this game

      @Guderian1 I assumed you didnt want to scramble against 7 planes in denmark , yaroslavl or toll.

      I made a mistake. I realized during the placement turn that I need to have docks to be able to place a carrier. without it my baltic sea fleet is doomed.

      Will you allow me to repair 13 in west germany instead of 10 in germany so I can place it there instead? this will ofcourse mean I can place one less infantry.
