RE: AAG40 FAQ
Can an Italtian tank in Egypt blitz Jordan and activate Iraq on the same turn?
No. Only air units may move in both combat and noncombat movement.
Judging from this answer I assume a tank can’t blitz out from his stack to capture an undefended territory and then move back with his friends as his second move. Is this how it has always been in Axis and Allies? The groups I play with have always allowed this.

Capturing Allied territories
When your teammate’s capital has been captured and held by the enemy, are you allowed to capture their territories? Or can you only liberate them from enemy hands? For example, if Germany captures UK, can US move into Canada and take control of those 6 IPC’s? I know that if Germany were to capture them and then US won them back they would become US controlled until the UK is liberated. But in Pacific the Dutch territories can be “captured” by their allies because it is assumed that Germany has captured Holland. So it seems like the same logic should apply.

Russian National Objective
Does an Axis sub in sea zone 125 block Russia’s NO, or does it have to be a surface warship?
Thanks

Chinese fighter
Can the Chinese fighter fly out to sea to attack Japanese ships, and return to land in a Chinese territory (or Burma) or is it restricted to fighting only on land?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Does J1 Attack "Break" the games?
Hey Hewhoisnickel
AN2: Destroy both destroyers with planes, use original transport/destroyer to take Java, and on the way, Dutch New Guinea. 54>46>45>42 Move second transport and submarine to SZ46. Build another destroyer.
Sounds like you are using one transport to take two territories in one round. A transports move ends when they unload, they can’t unload one unit then move on and unload a second unit elsewhere.

RE: Transports in 1942
Disarming transports and removing them from combat is actually a pretty good rule once you get used to it. It stops the practice of using transports as fodder during naval battles, which is unrealistic. Instead it is necessary to protect them with warships, which is how it should be.

RE: Strategic bombing quest.
Hey Jive
If the AA gun misses the Bomber, the bomber rolls 1 die and that damage is applied to the factory. It is a one round attack. The bombing mission is done.
AA guns always only fire once, at the beginning of combat. One die per attacking plane. After that they are ignored for the rest of combat.

RE: Allied opening strategy
Sorry you’re right, I meant the Caucasus. My opponent is very good, but he was probably playing Russia a little too aggressively. One thing that worked out well for me in taking Caucasus in G1, I killed both Russian fighters. The Russian subs attacked my BB and trans on their own in R2 but failed, and the UK airforce was out of range, so the German BB and trans actually survived until round 3 and were able to dump a second amphibious assault on round 2. I’m not saying this is a sure-fire strat, just something to consider if Russia is lax in their defense of their territories.

RE: Allied opening strategy
My opponent used this russian sub strategy against me recently. Germany countered by sending everything at Karelia on round 1 (including BB and trans because they could ignore the russian subs in the Black Sea). Allied player laughed because I had allowed British navy to survive and didn’t attempt to go for Africa. Because Russia was under-manned, Karelia fell on G1. We swapped it back and forth a couple times, but eventually Germany kept it and took Russia on round 4 or 5. Allied player stopped laughing, and this strategy has been abandoned.
