    • RE: What is your first buy as UK (assuming baltic carrier)

I’m usually good with the AC, tran and some inf.  Works well, makes your navy a force to be reckoned with and will keep Germany’s air force land locked.

    • RE: SBR in AAR

Actually, when I looked back at the rules it says per bomber.  So it would seem to me that out of the box you can do the limit of the territories worth with each bomber you have.

    • RE: What nation do you like the least

England is the worst for me, mainly because your options are so limited and after a while you have nothing to add to the fight, but support for america and give some love in norway.

Russia is a ton of fun, whacking at germany and then trying to get them to overextend is good fun and challenging against a canny opponent.  Japan is great fun because done right Asia is just to easy of a plum to pick.  The Gerry’s ar good because action is imminent and once again a good sucker play is well worth having.  America, is probably one of the most challenging to get right and I’m still working on it, but the challenge in itself makes it interesting.

    • RE: How many ships do purchase as Germany in a typical game?

If we’re playing with Heavy Bombers and I’mGemany I’ll start off the game with 4 dice going for it.  If I get them I will buy bombers and transports.

With that mix you can destroy the British fleet and harry the Americans into having to drop their troops deep into Africa.  Or they have to spend a lot of cash on working up a defense.  Either way the bombers and transports are dual useful.and at 23 a turn I can still buy inf to keep Russia at bay.by turn 5 I will own most of Africa, will have sunk most of anything in the atlantic and will be holding my borders firm from Russia.

    • RE: Can Russia go Ballistic?

Doing this turns you into a paper shell.  Remember one of the major advantages you have over germany is that it takes you one turn to get infantry to your front.  Push to far with out enough back up and you won’t be able to hit his counter.  Pushing to far into Japans territories is the same mistake your to far pushed out and you can’t support yourself.  Buratia is a nightmare and putting anyone in there is a death sentence since Japan will almost 100% pull battleships, planes, bombers and whatever else they need to destroy you.

Keep your cards close to your chest with Russia.  America and Britain can’t get there fast enough if you over extend yourself to soon you’ll be all alone and also be pushing your allies into doing things they may not like.
