allies should not get Switzerland. They attacked allies and axis alike whenever someone entered their territory, also held prisoners from both sides.

I wouldn’t add any additional units to the board. Tournament games or any game which something is on the line, I’m sticking with the official rules and set up for balance reasons.
But I think in a friendly game that you want to experiment in, letting China build things other than infantry and art would be fun. I would most likely only let them into bordering territories like WILD BILL and myself suggested.
OR even if you have an extra player who wants to play and is a complete noob let them be china without restrictions, and see how well your Japanese game handles it.
I usually play to have fun, have a few beers with friends, and smack talk. I paid for the game I can use it as I like. Who cares if I’m wrong or if it’s not how it’s supposed to be played.

I think Chinese units should be allowed to enter any territory bordering China. This allows them to interfere in Amur, FIC, or Korea etc. But not be able to stack in Moscow or India. Only as long as China and said ally are at war with Japan.

So Krieghund, we still need a clear official answer on what happens to a major IC with 10 damage on it when its captured. Germany bombed Moscow’s Major IC and it now has 10 damage on it. Next turn Germany captures the IC. Does it keep the 10 damage after its been changed into a minor, or does it drop down to 6 damage?
My understanding is that it drops down to 6.

Nothing historical about this. I just thought it would be fun and interesting to have 3 different sides duke it out. Europe vs Asia vs new world/Britain. Something new to play.
I was also thinking about a free for all type of game where everyone made about 30 ipcs and you start with nothing but you get 100 to spend on whatever you wanted. captured territories are worth 3 and captured capitals are worth 10. Could apply to any axis and allies board. kinda like risk but with axis and allies units and rules.

3 sided global 1940posted in House Rules
America, Great Britain and ANZAC (107) vs Germany, Italy and France (66) vs Russia, Japan and China (75). No National Objectives.
I realize that the difference in wealth between the teams is a lot especially between 107 and 66. But if you look at the board you will see that the gap will decrease quite fast. The British empire is vast and thus will be hard to hold onto against all of her opponents.
China can leave china. also cant decide whether i want to keep them the same i.e. build only infantry and art, or let them build everything and give them a factory or two, one in Manchuria and second in Kiangsu. also giving them their mainland territories back from japan. That would mean i would have to paint up some pieces or get some from HBG. Also that would mean Japan would only make 15 at the start. I am also assuming everyone would capture kwangtung, french indo china and Borneo. that would raise their income right back up to 24 plus the Philippines for another 2 up to 26.
Set up will remain the same as Alpha 3. other than a few changes
Germany will start with Finland, Bulgaria and Greece
Italy will get Yugoslavia
french cruiser in 110 is moved to 105 off of Bordeaux
French units in England switched to British units and British units in France turned into French unitsMaybe’s
Minor IC added to New Zealand like in OOB i realize it was a typo but i think it should be there.
add 2 french infantry to French indo china, mabye a cruiser in 36 or cruiser and destroyer.Cant decide whether i want neutrals to be able to be invaded without consequence, or not able to enter at all. I am more in favour of invadable.
Turn order would obviously have to change i was thinking something like
Germany 35
Russia 37
America 52
Italy 12
Japan 15
Great Britain 28E 17P
France 19
China 23
ANZAC 10I have yet to try this, need to find time, but i think it would be loads of fun. input, criticism, anecdotes, anything is welcome good or bad. If something similar has been tried before PLEASE TELL.

They are called AA artillery, because those guns are classified as artillery. Hence the name. I think they changed the name from the simple AA gun to AA artillery because it sounds new and better.

The Type 3 Chi-Nu mounted one Type 3 75 mm Tank Gun, one of the largest guns ever to be fitted on a World War II Japanese tank. i would love to see that as the medium tank for japan or even as a heavy tank for japan since they didn’t really have any heavy tanks that weren’t experimental.

I’d much rather have the Model 92 Armored Car than the 87. Much cooler looking than the 87 with that dumb looking dome top. The 92 had better specs plus it’s in the game Men of War Assault Squad, if any of you played it. I realize its not one of the ones you are unsure about. Just putting my 2 cents out there.

but if you make the light tanks attack at 3 if combined with heavier armour, or maybe even defend at 3 if combined with infantry. tanks are sitting ducks if they don’t have infantry to support them. then id say 2-2-2-5 makes sense. 3 at defence if combined with infantry would be a good compromise don’t you agree? I just don’t like seeing light tanks have the same defence as medium tanks. artillery can only move 1 space. but a light tank can move 2 and blitz. so thats where the extra cost comes from. heavy artillery have 3-2-1 while light is 2-2-2. taking away attacking power for extra movement.

Light tanks should be 2-2-2-5. Cost 5 because if they were 4 who would by mechanized infantry? They also had thin armour, so a 2 is reasonable for defence.
2-2-2-5 for light. maybe attack at 3 if combined with medium/heavy
3-3-2-6 for medium
4-4-1-8 for heavy
I’d like to see a heavy only being able to move 1 because of how much fuel it takes to move these babies long distances. plus if they moved 2 spaces they would be pretty overpowered.Alternate fighter should not be 4-4-4-11. Who would buy a tac bomber when you could buy a fighter worth the same amount with better stats. should be worth at LEAST 12. I like the 3-3-4-9 as an alternate fighter.

Russia Invaded Iran with Britain during the real war so i can understand why they would get a NO for taking Iraq. i don’t know about Ethiopia or Libya though but hey its a game. Plus i was also thinking that if there were Russian troops in the mid east and Egypt. Italy would have an even tougher time, thus securing a victory city that the axis need. They would need German assistance in taking Egypt so that drains money from the eastern front. even if Russia gets totally taken over. I don’t think Germany could win against America and a strong Britain with all its forces in Russia. How much will you have left defending France or southern Italy, if Italy couldn’t make more than 15 a round?

each team puts down a set amount of money. lets say $100 each. thats $200 for the game. the winning team gets the $200. Lets say the axis won. Germany, japan, and italy(if playing global1940) count out the total number of allied territories captured add the ipc’s they are worth and divide 200 by that number. say germany captured 20, italy 10, and japan 15. so 200/45= 4.44. germany gets 20x4.4= $88.88 italy gets 10x4.44=$44.44 and japan will get 15x4.44=$66.6. if each player put in $33 or some sort of equivilant to thier starting ipc’s id say they did pretty well. OR they could just split the winnings 3 ways each player gets $66.6.
Plus you could use the money during the game if you wanted.

Russian troops in the middle east/africaposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
Wanted to know how many people actually send troops to capture Iraq? Then continue down into Egypt to help out the brits and take Italian territories in africa. I realize this leaves Russia a little weak on defences. But with all those NO’s and a strong egypt with russian troops i think its worth it. Plus what is an axis response to this?
