      @Yahoo:

WASHINGTON - Hillary Rodham Clinton announced her candidacy for the 2008 presidential election Monday, saying quote “I want to finally give women a chance to be behind the Oval Office desk, not under it.” Her move ended months of speculation among the press.

    • The Aristocrats

Hi everybody, long time no see.

Anyways, I just had to post this here. First, explanation of what The Aristocrats is (From Wikipedia).

The Aristocrats (also known as The Debonaires and The Sophisticates) is a joke which is alleged to have been told by numerous stand-up comedians since Vaudeville, and often only among an audience of other comedians. In publicity for a 2005 documentary film about the joke, it has been referred to as “the world’s funniest joke” and “the world’s worst joke.” It may be either depending on who’s telling it, who’s listening and the innumerable variations upon the theme. It is rarely told the same way twice.

The joke is something of a game in which those who tell it try to top each other in terms of shock value. This was also used as an inside joke by comedians to test the mettle of others. Throughout the history of the joke it has evolved from a cliche staple of the Vaudevillian comedian into a postmodern anti-joke.

Anyways, here is an example from the Aristocrats Joke Database.

      (from http://www.dead-frog.com/aristocrats/ )

########WARNING: THE FOLLOWING IS PURPOSLY GROSE, DISGUSTING AND REVOLTING. IF CAN’T HANDLE SOMETHING LIKE THAT DONT READ IT########

    • RE: Would the Allies win without Russia in the real war?

About the the use of nuclear weapons…

The US did not veiw the Japanease as humans, thus it was okay, in their minds, to nuke them. But they veiwed the Germans as humans so I doubt they would have used nuclear weapons. Hitler did not use gas as a weapon during the war as he knew how evil such a weapon was. And if Hitler could see that if a weapon is to evil then it should not be used I am certain that the US would have seen this too.

Dude, how old are you? That book’s recommended grade level is grade 5. But isn’t making up a utopia a little advanced for grade 5’s? This is confusing.

    • RE: Introspective on Morality

      On the topic of morality…

I recently read a articale in an old Scientific American (Magazine). It was about a group of researchers that followed a group of boys growing up. They gave them various tests and things like that about how they would deal with situations and why they did what they did. what they found-

the reserchers think there are six levels of morality:

      -I didn’t do it beacause-

      1. I don’t want to get the punishment
      2. I want to get the reward

      3. I want people to like me

      4. It is agansit the law

      5. I have a social contract (or somthing like that)
      6. Its just wrong!

the first group is mainly ages 0-10

the second is teenagers (kinda figers)

      the third is 20+

only a little percentage reached the 5th level and no one reached the 6th

thats all, just somthing interesting I read
