      What Barney posted I have done to neutrals too as far as adding armies but not as much inf. Yes Spain and Turkey in my game have 11 inf each with a fig tank aa gun AB. Destroyer.
      In my game for strict neutral influence is where each country can only influence certain neutrals based on where they were at And which countries were trying to get to join them.
      So to influence Spain or Turkey cost you 10 icps
      And you roll a D20 die and on a 4 or less that strict neutral joins your side. If you get either one your inf are cut in half and you only get 6 plus the rest.
      To influence the other stricts it costa you 3 icps and roll same d20 die 4 or less then receive what ever army is there and yes you get the territories value added to your income.
      If you really want to get historic then some neutrals just join sides at time of war. A lot didn’t flip until 44. My way is to spice game up a bit every game and has a 30 to 40% games being different with all the other stuff added.
      Ya maybe I’ll tweak the neutrals more closer to 100% historic but I don’t see that happening soon.
      Testing new Cruiser BB AD values by using 2 different colored dice for each ship.

      The auto retreat works like this for ground d12
      Ger 12
      Italy 10-12
      Japan 11-12
      Uk 11-12
      So let’s say 10 ground attacking 10 defending ground Ger against UK
      Ger rolls there normal attack values. They roll
      2,3,7,8,8,2,11,12,1,12
      Now you count hits but you rolled 2 12s so now those 2 pieces have to retreat before next round of combat. Same would go for UK. Any piece rolling a 11 or 12 would have to retreat also before next round of combat. So for planes in a DF would be the same. Any plane rolling a 12 let’s say has to retreat before combat.
      Or after combat round. Ways to play with it
      Man you could also go by if you only have 1 or 2 plane movements left you have to retreat after DF and or combat after 1 round due to low fuel because of prolonged combat fight flying.

      OK Wow what a game with a 180 flip.
      Germany. Was going all out for Moscow it looked like due to probably the US going to Gib first to block a 3 island Group NO so it gave them time to not have to defend Europe right away and besides the Wolf Packs were doing there job first 3 turns. US had 13 ground on Gib but with Ger and Italy counter and took it back. After seeing out come and looking at things its better for US to park closer to London. They can go either way then.

      While Germany was building up and Italy and UK going nose to nose in MED & Africa the allies where building a landing assault in Europe and the Allies where looking good for a win so Germany decided to attack Moscow on turn 5 because he really had no choice with a weak defense in Europe.

      SO the big battle was on. But the Russian player threw bad dyes and Germany’s stronger pieces rolled better.
      Germany was able to kill 4-5 Russian figs with bonus plane kills while the Russian figs never got a bonus German plane kill. The numbers where pretty much even.
      So this was a great test for the upgraded LL chart which we made stronger. At least Russia had 9 figs in battle.
      That’s huge for them. This also helped them from being SBRed all the time. I believe if Russia didn’t get diced Moscow would of held. That’s what we are looking for now.
      With Russia still building ( moving 1 IC from Archangal, Stalingrad IC and Tankograd IC) and collecting on following turn was able to still get 2 pieces on LL and build 2 tanks for 4 icps at Tankograd and had some decent defense for Stalingrad which I’ve never seen in any game out there yet. So now what I’m saying is even if Germany took Moscow and Russian had better dice even though they lost, Germany wouldn’t of had as many ground troops attacking Stalingrad. Russia may have held and then with only Germany being able to build 6 units in Moscow would of been some thing I’ve never seen also in games.
      If Moscow doesn’t fall now Russia has a chance to hold Stalingrad or take back Leningrad if defense is to weak.

      Japan Japan left there Carriers off Midway after capturing it and US attacked them on turn 1 like real war. Was told Japs were baiting US. Then US had to repair 4 battleships which were costly in repairs ( like 25 icps total ) and then went to Carolina’s and then to Dutch Islands picking 3 Island Group NO’s on the way and holding the Dutch islands blocking 2 bonus Oil victory points from Japan. But by then didn’t matter. Stalingrad fell and Axis Europe just to strong in income for allies to over come. So end of T6 Axis wins.
      Its all in the live stream taped video if you want to see. I’ve also never seen an allies fleet that big in the pacific.

      Italy also would of gotten Cairo ( 1 VP ) on T7. We rolled out battle to see if it was gonna happen.

      And that’s that. Great game. Now no minor tweaks and we just live stream and play.

      Was great to see the guys and to play fave ti fave . Although, I would have liked to have okayed against Adam and smashed up his fleet .

      Here’s a few more NOs that I’ve played in other games for Canada.
      2 icps for 1 warship in N Atlantic certain szs
      2 icps for 1 warship in Atlantic certain szs
      Same as no axis subs in certain sea zones maybe and or need a ship in these szs to get money
      3 icps when US is at war with Axis this would take a load off Canada’s lend lease historically
      Or as mentioned give Canada a 1 free supply token per turn
      There’s a few more but mostly if allies in certain territories Canada receives more money but I
      Don’t like them mostly unless it’s an actual
      Canadain ground unit there. Like if an Canada inf gets in Normandy receive 2 or 3 icps.
      Or maybe give Canada 3 icps per turn if UK Europe controls all there territories but don’t know how deep you want to go.
      In one game I’ve seen Canada collect up to 13 icps per turn and another game up to 20 which to me was crazy. Canada was taking African territories

Bad weather, idiot general, etc. Dice allow for that sort of situation.

      Yes bad dice = morale issues, supplies, leadership etcetc but I am looking at where if the dice go real bad it’s restricted but not the place to discuss since this is probably off topic

      OK. After some discussions about ship AA guns I’m going with a few changes in my game.
      The Destroyer will not get the bonus AA plane kill now. It still has its AD@3 against planes only.
      As mentioned the AA on destroyers was just a plat form so them AA guns will be part of the AD@3.
      Battleships will still get there bonus AA gun kill @1. This is based on them using the more equipped AA guns for defense when alone.
      Cruisers now will go to AA gun bonus plane kill @2 based on them losing a turret of ship guns for better AA capability and plus they move 3 also but always did in game.
      This should make the Cruiser even more a important ship ( and weaker countries ) for air attack defense with BB or fleets or maybe even small assault fleets with shore shot.
      Also didn’t get to really try the new Tac/ Dive values of AD@6 first round only and can pick target and rest of combat rounds AD@4 with no pick. Dropping there play load only first round like stg bombers.
      Just have to figure out if BB cost stays the same and or Cruiser cost changes too.
      I feel if the Cruiser loses a ship gun turret it should go down 1 in AD value. Then some said then I’ll buy all Battleships. Go ahead with right combo of fleet gonna wack it. So these are the numbers for now.
      BB C14 AD@9 AA@1 bonus plane kill
      CR C9 AD@7 AA @2 bonus plane kill
      DD C6 AD@3 depth charge @3
      Tac/Dive C8 AD@6 first only pick target AD@4 rest of combat rounds.
      But Tac/Dive can only hit surfaced subs @3.

      Don’t forget planes are dog fighting same time as combat.
      Figs C8 AD@5 2 or less bonus DF plane kill
      Tac/Dive roll a 1 after first round get a bonus DF plane kill too
      Stg Bomber rolls a 1 get a bonus DF plane kill too. May drop this based on there focus is dropping payload first round only so can’t DF on first round like Tac dive

      After some major test rolling and ave odds were gonna go with
      option 1 mentioned above that is being tested now.
      BB C14 AD@8 AD@1aa. 2 hits. Dam AD@6 AD@1aa. Repair 1d6.
      CR C9 AD@6 AD@2aa
      This makes the Cruiser a all round ship you need for air defense.
      So in game if nobody knows you roll 1 dice per piece but have chance for a double hit. Lets say if you roll for
      a BB and roll is a 2 you get 1 normal hit other sides casualty choice.
      Roll for a CR and roll is a 2 you get a normal hit other sides casualty choice &
      you get a bonus plane kill from ship aa and now you force the other side to have to
      pick a plane also as a casualty. For now still there choice.
      Also figs get a DF @2 bonus plane kill too.
      So now in naval battles you have all the possible combinations going on.
      same thing in land battles where land figs and tacs are doing the same thing.
      Yes there is some air superiority going on too in these battles.
      So figs AD@5 AD@2 DF So if a fig rolls a 2 or less they get a bonus DF plane kill too and a Normal hit other sides choice but now you force them to have to take a plane
      casualty. This has been working out great in game. This way not all planes get bank or saved till the last 2 rounds of combat and planes win the battles. I disagree with this. Planes helped yes won a few small battles but over all just helped in battles.
      Only problem is still Ger buying a ton of planes the round right before they attack Moscow. Well I’ve seen this go both ways for Moscow in game. One time more tanks than planes. So Ger has 9 figs and Moscow has 8 figs. In first round Ger got 3 bonus fig
      DF kills and Russia on defense roll got 0 DF plane kills. So now next round Ger has 9 figs and Russia 5 figs. Ger got 2 more fig kills and again Russia got 0.
      So Russia retreated there last 3 fig planes for future support. Either side can retreat planes after any round of combat.
      Other time Ger went with more mechs and art and planes and got Moscow but Russia did take Moscow back but some allies Europe landings got delayed a turn or 2 and a few wrong moves was just enough for Ger to hold Paris with some planes leaving Moscow.
      Anyway that’s that.

      Just to let you know based on Fig being the same Defense value as a Inf in playing the Fig was to weak. But this is based on more Inf in a game or battles.
      Now Baron has mentioned it works OK in 42 game. G40 maybe not.
      As far as ship AA it should be no more than 1 but for not every ship based on barnee’s play testing.
      For every Carrier ya give them AA @1 plane.

      Not trying to deter any buddy’s play testing here . I’m just telling you based on my game what works and happens.
      Yes my Battleships and Cruisers do get 2 shots each per round. I use d12. More room compared to d6.
      Battleship C14 AD@8 + a roll of 1 gives them a AA hit on a plane too.
      Cruiser C10 M3 AD@6 + a roll of 2 or less gives them a AA hit on a plane too.
      So basically the big guns hitting ships while AA picks off a plane every now and then. This is for every round of combat. Now I believe barnee based on each getting a d6 AA @1 was to strong and he gave each ship a d12 dye roll for AA in triple A.
      With d6 you would need to adjust this.

      From playing there’s not as many planes killed by ships than you would think. But with Carriers getting a AD@4 against a plane only helps the fleets on defense more if you don’t bring carriers to attack also.

      Of course all my planes cost 8. As Baron mentioned in his play tests and what happened in war a lot of planes where killed, crashed or lost.

      Plus figs and tacs/dives can hit each other in each combat round with after first round of combat you can retreat as many planes as an Attacker or Defender.

      Fig C8 AD@5 + if roll is a 2 or less get a plane kill too.
      Tac C8 AD@6 pick target First round then AD@4 + if roll is a 1 get a plane kill too. Attacker or defenders choice.
      Stg B. C8 A3 @3 one round only. D @2. DF@1

      With Tacs and Dive Bombers getting a pick target is a awesome thing in games. Times you need to save a fig or the Tac Dive are scarificed.
      Iv’e seen huge fleet battles with planes and only a few planes killed on each side with AA and DF per battle.
      With Planes hitting planes on ground battles too this helps Russia some too but based on your setup of planes.
      But still nice in any battle where a plane gets killed and you force the A or D to pick a plane. Idea here’s is to implement all scenarios of the battles. Some may disagree but its the middle ground across the board.
      As mentioned not trying to deter anybody else’s play testing or suggestions. I only post ideas and outcomes based on game play and what and how Iv’e seen it work.
      Other wise I had my say and I’ll butt out if you need me too.

      This is just some ideas that you may want to try.
      We been playing this way now for 2 years.

      Yes with Baron and Barnee in the mix they can give you better imput based on there play of 42 or 40 game.

      Oh by the way what is the 1914 plane plane and or ship rules you guys are talking about ?

      I find the boxes work best in game without having to add merchant ships.
      G40 map CB icons not far enough out in Atlantic. IMO and not enough Ger subs out there. Can damage inside box and 1 icp dam outside of box with sub touching box in another sz.

      Do you plan on using the convoy box on g40 map only ? I do have another thing we had in game with cargo ships if u are interested in.
      Each country starts with so many cargo ships. Then if u lost any and didn’t replace u were penalized a icp amount and ships moved 6.
