      Made a few more changes. Removed 3 inf from allies on setup in Asia.
      Made FIC worth 3 instead of 2.
      Cauraucus now worth 4 instead of 5. Russia income back to 24. from 25.

      We played another game but ended it on turn 4. Axis not being able to get that 12 city.
      But of course more play is needed.

      I can post updated map if somebody wants to see it.

      This Global 1940 Game Report includes the use of the complete Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion.

      Note:

      This Global 1940 two-player game ended Wednesday, 1st June 2022. Here is a brief situation report:

      Players:
      Axis: Butch Cassidy
      Allies: The Captain

      Early 1940 to Early 1943:

      Germany launches a massive attack in the Atlantic. The First Battle of The Atlantic is won by Germany.

      In Early 1941, Germany launches the attack on the Eastern Front.

      Massive Panzer formations push their way forward on the entire Eastern Front. Multiple succesfull attacks secure the German War Economy.

      Italy fights bravely in The Mediterranean and North Africa - but strong UK forces make further Italian progress impossible.

      In Late 1942, Japan attacks Soviet Far East - and pushes back the few surviving Soviet Infantry units.

      In the Pacific, Japan succesfully captures the Philippines.
      But Japan’s other attacks in the Pacific are less succesfull.

      Most islands are heavily fortified with UK and ANZAC Infantry & Bunkers.

      Late 1943:
      Germany takes over Italy.

      The German War Machine is bogged down on the Eastern Front.
      Strong Soviet Army Groups have retreated & regrouped - and launches a massive counter-offensive, that threatens to encircle German Army Group South.

      German Army Group South splits up its forces - and launches a small scale offensive into Caucasus & Stalingrad - while the majority of Army Group South retreats from Rostov to Bessarabia with all its mobile units.

      Only a few Infantry units are left to fight as rear guard formations.

      Strong Soviet formations attack the German units in Caucasus, Rostov, Stalingrad and Ukraine.

      All German formations are completely destroyed.

      Japan succesfully launches a large scale offensive from Sikang into Kazakhstan, to take off some pressure from the German Army.

      United States launches multiple succesfull attacks in the Pacific - and lands in Normandy/Bordeaux with strong Tank & Armored Infantry units.

      Early 1944:
      The German Army receives fresh troops on the Eastern Front - and launches a renewed offensive in the Southern part of Russia.

      Soviet 1st. & 2nd Tank Army attack and destroy the Japanese invasion forces in Kazakhstan.

      Simultaneously, Soviet Minefields & Tank and Guard units stop the Japanese offensive Yakut & Yenisey.

      Leningrad & Western Ukraine are recaptured by The Red Army.

      UK forces support the Soviet operations through Norway - and by Strategic Rail Movement from South Africa.

      Strong UK Fighter formations are strengthening the Soviet lines against the German Army.

      Late 1944 to Late 1945:
      The German Army launches its final attack on the Eastern Front in a desperate attempt to break through the Soviet lines.

      The German offensive fails - and Germany is now facing strong Soviet forces on the Eastern Front - as well as strong UK & US formations on the Western Front.

      The Japanese frontlines in Asia collapse due to heavy Allied attacks.

      The last Japanese strongholds in the Pacific are eliminated by Allied units.

      In Late 1945, neither Germany or Japan are able to halt the advancing Allied formations.

      An Allied Economy at 209 IPC secures an Allied Victory in Late 1945.

    • Rangoon a victory city.

      Feel free to comment on this topic and probably mostly by guys that play with victory city conditions in there game or other games.

      I don’t understand why Rangoon is not considered a VC. With the huge fighting going on in Burma during WW2 I believe this city should be included.
      Most games I’ve played or seen is India gets stacked and with some good Jap pressure from Thailand and or from sea invasion too just basically defends India. With adding Rangoon as a VC this would force India to have to move troops out of India to take back Burma.
      Because most games both stacks just look at each other and nothing happens. Keep in mind I do have Monsoon season in game every 3 turns.
      Also the Japs would need to send more ground south and If you have the right setup with China they can come from the North like they did in the war. My game does.

      Plus India would need to watch the bottom back door invasion of Japan ground troops from the sea to attack India or just get more ground to Burma by sea to protect Rangoon. SO they would need to balance it out.

      This also would force US to come down by Dutch Islands more with joining the navies from India and Anzac. I can see Cairo sending troops to India more. But mostly India sends stuff to Cairo. This would also help open up the middle east oil campaign due to oil bonus victory points there for axis since now you have to balance out the 3 V cities ( Cairo, Calcutta & Rangoon plus protect middle east oil.

      Still keep Singapore a VC based on the rubber supplies.

      West Germany is the same setup from original to the setup changes. Unless as mentioned IC is underground
      Also does Italy still get starting income of 18
      I’m assuming based on it wasn’t tweaked in new revised 43 rules.

      Novgorod the same. Am I missing something ?

      Well even 43 rules originally had an NB and AB unless u updated original.

      I have BBR version 2, 4 and 5 map. Gotta figure out which map I’m going to use to see your 43 setup on. Lol

      I’m gonna add it to G 40 House Rules. Use West India on the Global map for the Vichy Capital. I did something similar with the Vichy France Option. It was a combination of multiple house rule ideas and some of World at War mod with some stuff I threw in as well.

      I wonder how it’ll play ? I guess one just has to test as always :)

      Ya. To bad India doesn’t have 4 territories in it. Does Calcutta fall most games ? May need to add a IC to West India. Also may need to add a transport to West India on setup.
      Ya may not work but test it out and see.

      yea seen some people going with two minors and getting rid of the major. Idk seems the major could stay and just add the minor to W India. You only got enough dough to produce so much. Shouldn’t really matter.

      Right. Was thinking of a minor only. Problem is does the major become a minor on capture ?

      Ya 2 minors on setup maybe an option.

      Ya I’ll post in game report next time. May not happen mostly since now based on my game the 4 territories that have the Burma road if controlled by Japan they receive a bonus point but the whole idea in the first place was to get way more action in Burma and area like real war and still the option of Vice India too.

      Ya What sucks is the major IC in Calcutta is not reduced on capture which it should be based on Japan never got Calcutta in real war but not my game.
      Be nice if it went to a minor IC. Could house rule it in. Then have UK get a free minor IC for Persia or East Persia. Gives you that 1 extra turn to send pieces over and buy. Maybe put in Persia instead.
      I think most games UK buys a IC for Persia anyway so maybe not give them a free one. Up to UK to plan ahead if they see Calcutta falling.

      Make Mongolia Pro-Russia like it should be. Russia can go into it to activate Mongolians.
      Has to be the Capital.
      Mongolians can only move with in there territories.
      If Japan attacks, the Mongolians become Russia and can move out.
      If Russia attacks Mongolians which they shouldn’t then they become strict neutrals and Russia losses any income and pieces.
      Place 3 Russian inf in each territory of Amur, Sakha and Buryatia.
      Put the other 9 inf in Moscow.

      Attacking territories touching Mongolia have no more affect.

      That’s true.

      If the Soviets would send fx. some Infantry units into an original Chinese territory - in order to reinforce the Chinese defense, this would also act as a Declaration of War against Japan.

      In Early 1944, the Declaration of War IPC Penalty for Russia and Japan is 2 IPC - so the first Nation to violate the Non-Agression Treaty would not suffer any major IPC loss.

      In other words, the economic aspect is no longer an issue, concerning violation of the Non-Agression Treaty.

      So you don’t feel this is to low of a penalty ? I’m assuming this is based on when Russia and Japan fought at end of war ?
