Here ya go Captain. New Normandy change.

Here ya go Captain. New Normandy change.

The Allies won. Was a great game. Axis was on the brink to win each turn. With Axis at there peak strength at the time when game starts its balls out. Got 6 turns in.
Germany got Moscow and Stalingrad and was able to hold Paris but Russia was able to take back Stalingrad from there Ural builds and Tankograd IC to help with allies victory.
What hurt Germany most in game was he lost his fleet but main part was he lost a lot of his planes. But still was able to get Moscow with a good can opener Italians down through there southern route where they can only go through but forced Russia to put out 8 inf blockers in 2 territories around Moscow to delay the Germans a turn on a attack on Moscow if the Italians did try to take a territory in front or south of Moscow. SO now your looking at like 8-12 extra Inf that could of stayed in Moscow to defend on the main attack. Great moves there by axis.
The allies did have a decent D-day landing going on but was just a bit short on liberating Paris. But was able to run around north to West Germany for attacks and also took Oslo away to deny a 1 victory point from axis which helped too.
The allies did attack West Germany and Italians recaptured it back but the IC was destroyed in the 2 battles.
On the Pacific side US ended up grabbing all the 3 Island group NO’s to build there income up and did attack the huge Japan fleet and defeated them. Japans income went way down based on they also lost the oil money islands and had no navy left.
UK navy left the Italians alone in Med and they were able to get the 3 3 island group NO’s plus all Med Island bonus point. But the UK Med fleet did help when it went to India and now its back in the Med. Couple transport buys would of taken away some of the 3 island group NO’s for Italy and also axis would of lost the 1 point all Med island Victory point in the next turn for UK.
Its nice to see in the game a Strong Italy. This game they can be strong based on with the right leadership and besides in other games nobody wants to play Italy or Russia but as you see only Game I know of where Russia can also still fight after losing Moscow. Nobody really knows what would of happened if Moscow fell in real war. But some may disagree but where here not to discuss that.
The 2 move Cruiser worked out great so we keep that. A CCP setup change and a build tweak is all that’s gonna get changed.
Here’s the charts after turn 6. Each country rolls for 2 National Advantages at start of game and uses for the whole game. Was only 4 techs this game and no spy’s stole any.
The 2 tech chart was great. At least you get to choose one or the other.

Thank You again for the General’s Fortress players ( ghr2, Carl, AA Mark, Justin, Duds, Chu ) and myself for showing up again !!!
Edit : The Germans control Leningrad so roundel is wrong on chart, but still have only 27 points. Axis needs 30 points at end of any turn for a victory.
Hey barn. Rest of the boys showed up. 30 generals and admirals in game finally painted

Somebody wanted to see map.

Gonna be playing this game Saturday. Hopefully live stream.

You can play it on Steam also.
Wow. got map printed up. What a big difference. Its like the map only looks like a 3x6. Pics are deceiving. Well it gonna take a bit of getting used to by me and group. But now all the pieces stand out real good.
posted this setup just to show somebody here on site the piece values.

Alright. Setup on new map. “Operation Smoky” week from Saturday.

Ok. Here’s the tech chart we are going to use. For each tech token you get to roll 2d6 dice. Add your total and mark on income chart. Once you get to the number you need in total dice rolls you get the tech. Can use right away on your turn. This should make things more interesting in game. The tech will be a secret too until you get it.
Max tech tokens per tech is 2. max tech is 2. Unless you get a free tech event card and you haven’t gone for tech or you already have 1 or 2 techs. If you don’t have your techs yet then the free tech goes towards one of the techs your going for.
Cost is 5 icps per tech token. Now I can see Russia buying a tech token.

We will be playing this hopefully a week from Saturday. Also have in game now the Armistice of Italy.
We had another game last Saturday. Looks like the allies will win. Germany lost West Germany and Paris plus US landed in Manilla. Japan should take out US fleet and then Anzac next turn but Axis Europe just lost to much.
Will need to see if Germany can take out Moscow next turn. If Moscow holds then they will hold Stalingrad too based on reinforcements.
No sea lion this game. But we did make a minor setup change to UK London. Added 2 more frenchy inf to London and moved the general from Scotland to London.
Up to UK now to shoot down a few planes so now they have a slightly better odds on holding. UK must take back London on there turn no matter what so the German minor factory there is destroyed.
If Germany influences Spain then they have the advantage.
Pic will be of turn 2 and turn 4.

Here’s game report from last Saturday Dec. 16, 2023.
Axis most likely will lose.
Germany influenced Turkey on turn 1. Made a push mostly south towards the oil fields in middle east. Also from the get go axis went after Cairo and took it. Got some Med Island group bonus money and then the US took Gib to deny a few bonuses.
Germany left Leningrad worth 2 victory points some what weak so Russia probably could take it next turn and hold. US landed in Oslo to deny a 1 victory point with the Germans not being able to take back as of now.
The Germans had a nice stack in Georgia and then the Russians attacked it and wiped out the Germans’ there. But Germany did get major diced so the Russians would have less units there on ave but that’s the dice gods.
On the pacific side the Commonwealth had a nice naval fleet south of Java and when Japan went for the oil money islands the US fleet went North and landed in China. Japan could take out most of Commonwealth fleet but doesn’t have enough to take out US fleet. So I’m assuming Japan would move there fleet north to force out US fleet but then with Japan mostly abandoning China, China now is a huge threat to hold the Victory cities for a few turns. Japan may be able to over come there issues in 3 turns but Germany is not doing to well. Besides the allies have landed in Normandy and putting pressure now there.
The whole idea of game is to make Japan also have to do the work for a win. Don’t leave all the work for Germany. Makes the games way more better. Pics are at the end of turn 4 with charts showing income, tech, NA’s and victory points.

Got neutral event cards now for game.

Had a game Saturday. The allies conceded on turn 6 after Italy’s turn. Germany took Moscow on turn 4 but lost Paris on turn 4. Germany had to decide which way they were going to go. After a general’s meeting it was decided to go for Moscow. Germany also influenced Spain.
Germany was able to to take back Paris on turn 6.
Also what helped axis was Germany had sub Interdiction and was able to wolf pack for most of game. Allies dice were on the weak side for sub kills this game.
Italy tried to take back Spain on turn 6 but the dice gods showed up and came up short.
But then Italy was able to take a 5th oil Territory for a point and Rostov for another point to get the win.
Germany also captured the new capital on turn 6 against Samara and get another point.
Maybe Russia put to much into fighting over Leningrad
early and not using those extra pieces to hold Samara and retake back Rostov while still protecting Stalingrad.
hey Russia’s a player in game even after Moscow falls.
They still have a lot to do in this game.
In the mean time Allies in the Pacific were getting back points and making a great push on Japan but would come up a bit short even though they got back 3 points and axis had 30 at end of turn 6 for a win.
The orange chip on pacific side on map represents the Japan naval fleet which is not in pic but in upper right corner some.
Another great game. We played drawing 2 event cards per turn. The neutral cards were great to. US got both Venesuala and Colombia to join their side for an extra 10 icps per turn.
Only changes is swapping out a few M> Bombers for Stg. Bombers and making the US UK NA bombers cost 9 instead of 11 based on they had a lot so this gives them a slight better chance to buy more Stg. bombers.
The one pic of battle board shows how the FEC and China were able to do a joint strike in Burma to get back Rangoon which is worth a point. Based on LL.
The bottom pic is of 6 of 7 generals. I took pic.
Double click on pics to get a great close up.

Got another game in. Axis won on during turn 5. Moscow actually held on with some great dice but still lost Stalingrad and Rostov to help seal the deal. Germany influenced Turkey turn 1 and went after Cairo and got it early in game. In the mean time Japan took Calcutta turn 2 based on all of the India fleet went to the Red Sea. And while Germany took there points back without Moscow and Japan shows in pic they can get back 2 Asian cities, HK and Singapore to complete the win.

This pic shows us what happens if Calcutta falls in game and becomes a state of vichy like France.
The New capital goes to Bombay territory which Fec had already built a IC so at least they could build on following turn. Plus UK fleet did leave Red Sea and landed some help in the future turns but Japan was able to hold on with transporting by air and some ground from Assam where they cut off any hump supplies.
FEC keeps all ships and then Japan rolls for the territories in India and the 2 islands South. Japan rolls and gets 3 territories and joins there side but did not get the other 3 territories and including the ground. The ground would of flipped to Japans side.
That is a sweet rule to have in your game if you can get it to work.
So long story short I think axis had 36 points and to much for allies to take back. Axis wins with 30 points.
Great Game. Meet a new player and will be back. Thanks for coming again Kris !

to take contr
Got another game in Saturday. Sea lion failed turn 1. Axis still did ok but lost on turn 6.
Some pics of game and a few battles.

More pics of Saturdays game.

Just my 8-10 hour games.
Ya gonna do a turn for game sat. If it’s a go I’ll post link here
Here’s A few samples I got from printer I use. They look good. Printed on 100 lb card stock but I’m going with the thin styrene for durability and to wipe off.
Will get rest of cards couple days. Some cards were tweaked to fit my game.
