Going to make the FEC country roundel now the combined Fec Indian icon. The Vice Joy.

Bombay worth 2 now instead of 1, Madras worth 1 now instead of 2 and Calcutta from a 3 to a 4 value now since the 1 victory point for total Burma road control is in play.
Will remove the Capital city and 1 point in Solomon Islands Honiara.

Japan will receive 1 bonus point for Total control of Burma Road supply line.
When japan controls Assam, Burma, Yunnan and Kwezchowz.

And if Calcutta falls then u roll for Vichy India which the rule was posted in another thread.

Ya. You could do turn 4 but depends on Europe action and Turn 5 is the norm for Moscow due to Turn 6 when they get Russian Winter and then all Inf +1 defense.
Game starts Dec 41. So everybody’s at war. So it’s attack attack attack from the get go !

to everyone here. I was simply asking for opinions. I think its BS and wondering how you all handle this. Our method is you retreat the direction you came from. maybe this is house rule crap. I dont know. I’m not some rules expert.

Ya seancb. I get your point but it’s allowed in game based on the official rules.
Ain’t changed since Classic and don’t see it changing ever.

So if you do what you say and retreat why is ok for the units to move a 3rd time west ?
If tanks move 2 to Yugo from France, do a 1 impulse then retreat it’s still a 3 move. So it has to be for all moves in any combats based on rule.

My opinion is if you own the territory at start of combat you should be able to retreat to it whether 1, 2 or 3 move.

As u said u housed ruled it.

      @krieghund

We are discussing this in our community groups.

How do you reach the conclusion that the “transport moves within the SZ”. This is also not relevant to the analysis of the other limitations in the rules.

Unit 1 UK infantry is loaded on US transport on Turn 8.

      On Turn 9,
US transport then moves, or does not move
Unit 2 UK infantry (a different unit) is loaded on US transport from UK or Canada.
Unit 1 UK infantry is dropped in non combat into normandy from the US transport
Unit 2 UK infantry remains on the transport.

Units did not move before they loaded (transport could, or not)
Loading and Unloading occurred in the proper order
Transport did not participate in both combat and noncombat actions.
Unit 1 has spent the required turn on board the transport before unloading.

Two units can be loaded from different territories in the same turn. Here, they could be loaded from the same, or different territories as long as the tt move / load —unload (ends turn) protocol is followed.

The two units did not unload into different territories. They loaded from any territories (different or same) on different turns.
Only the unit that has spent the interturn on the transport unloads during noncom, ending the turn of all 3 units.
Unit 2 UK infantry remains on board.

      Each rule has been followed.

      Thanks Kreig!

      “Operation Travis” today. Starting setup

Well allies win even though they lost Moscow. Allies moved into Med and did some damage. But Russia can take back Moscow.
Was great to finally see Patton in Greece.

US attacked Jap fleet but Japan held out and has decent control in pacific but Germany just got to over whelmed
Great game. Got to see some new stuff.

End of turn 9. Axis win.
Came down to allies lost 5 figs and bombers only hit like 15%. A lot of bomber attacks where in pairs against tanks. So Ave would be 1 kill but not this game. Bombers only had like 3 or 4 hits the whole game. That hurt big time.

Turn 8 allies had 7 defense hits to clean out St Lo but on turn 9 the figs didn’t get good move hits on axis and couldn’t clear out St Lo turn 9 in combat rounds.
Allies are a bit stronger in this game. As mentioned above Ger art placements are key ( killed 5 figs most early )and mid turn allies fig placements can be challenging due to so many Ger zones to cover.
Germany may of had a chance for Caen but,
UK Gold beach units and so on have to go towards St Lo. Just watch the Germans on the back side.

I did use the on fig return card u rolled a d8 die.
      1 = lose a plane
      8 = get a plane back
Rolled a 1 once and next turn rolled a 8 so ends up 1 fig couldn’t get used 1 turn.

      And that’s that !

This is the pacific at end of turn 2 US attacked the Japan fleet and won with 7 cruisers left in coast off of Vietnam on turn 4. Japan can counter. I wouldn’t say this game over with yet. Depends on turns 5-6 in Europe.
But was great playing on new map. Bigger and brighter. Couple more changes to it and a few tweaks for Japan so now we added Rangoon as a VC and force the units hopefully to come out of Calcutta towards Burma and Middle East while keeping capital city.

Keep in mind also my game is the only one that has the India Lovejoy rule when Calcutta falls.

    • RE: Rectify game imbalance ??

Well when you play with all cards it does favor the axis more based on if allies beachhead landings are delayed a turn and allies lose to many planes. Plus reinforcements. US can only land so many pieces but UK doesn’t seem to have that problem.
I did go to d8 dice so the odds for allies to not roll that 6 I believe that delays the landings. That seemed to help but not really your option here.
We been playing only 1 deck and seems to favor the allies more. So ya using 3 decks makes it change more for allies.

As for adding allies tanks maybe start with swapping out 2-3 only.
As the norm have to test it.

      Barnee

Here’s a pic on Germany’s next turn. Germans have Rostov and will get Stalingrad since Moscow can’t send most troops that way based on eastern front pressure with Raspituta season - move only 1 and there’s 34 tanks in Rostov. Italy can drop off 8-10 ground in Rostov to defend plus turkey units moving out in middle east since Turkey was influenced by Germany on turn 2.
But on Japan side it be tougher and if axis wins it will be on turn 6 but depends on pacific.

OK. Next game Saturday. After many games and trying to find that 1 more point for Japan to get and help more with the win is going to be Rangoon is a VC now. It’s Gotta bring more action to Burma. If FEC slips up than japan may get to hit Calcutta too. This may open the door a bit more for axis to get Cairo to. Depends on which ground units are gonna jump around for the triangle affect. Also open Middle East up a bit. Gives axis more options for wins.
